Of course, because for you to disagree with him on anything involving a conversation with me, would be something like splitting atoms im sure.

And you know what? You couldn't give a response to it.
I made a post concerning black entertainers and the lies and false dreams they sell their children and YOU could not give a response to it. I asked you both about opinions on blacks segregating themselves, neither of you could give a response to it.

1. Well...I never said that I thought EVERY incident in life is racially motivated. In this particular situation, I did. And that is my right.
I never accused you of saying that, I was just using your incident as an example to prove my point.

Locahontas said:
Look at it like this...If you had one ear, and over & over throughout your childhood, kids teased you about having one ear. If you were picked last to be on a dodgeball team, your first reaction would probably be that you were picked last because you had one ear. This may or may not be true, as in the situation with my teacher. But this is how human perception works. Your perceptions are based on past experiences & emotions.
I see you guys constantly using scenerios that cannot possibly be applied to your arguement. If he was picked last every day in kickball, my first assumption would be, he was picked last because the kid couldn't kick a fucking soccer ball. My second thought would be because the kid only has one ear. However, how many kids in this country, in school, have one ear? Its something that most kids have never seen before and it probably scares them a bit. As far as your comment on human perceptions, I agree, but that is the case for some more then others. Many use the knowledge of these expierences happening in other cases and apply them to their own life.

Now that some usefull insight has been brought to this thread, im going to touch on it. The Black wallstreet story is something that interests me very much. Thank you Lacahontes for providing a source for knowledge rather then put me in a false light and question me on it like some other folks.

Before I could even finish the short story on Black wallstreet, I went to pick up "A Lost Dream", but much like it was stated in that story, there is little to nothing concerning this incident in our libraries or history books. I went to 2 different BIG libraries looking for this book, ANY book on black wallstreet, and nothing could be found. They have "A Lost Dream" listed as 'out of print' at both places, so I will find one on the internet and order it. I did however pick up the Travis Smiley book HERSEY talked about, as well as ROOTS. Im looking for some books that were written by people who lived in the 1800's and EARLY 1900's, not so much books that were written by people of today, if anyone has any recomendations as to what im looking for, I would appreciate it. I also read the first part of the 3 posts by Tenk, and they made for a good read. I kept thinking about the man who was ran out of his house and family murdered, sickening to say the least. Im going to finish the rest in a minute.

I made a post concerning black entertainers and the lies and false dreams they sell their children and YOU could not give a response to it. I asked you both about opinions on blacks segregating themselves, neither of you could give a response to it.
I guess I was answering the other ones and never had a chance to pick it up. But this isn't a very hard question to answer. Matter of fact from breezing through the archives I can see that I've made mentions of these problems....

I've mentioned that a lot of rap music is not good for the young generation. The perecentage of blacks kids being parented by the TV and Radio is great, and on the radio we hear songs like "Magic Stick" and Thug Lovin type of content. This is not good for the kids, because bad parenting mixed with the music will equal problems.

Secondly, Rappers are powerful in the black community. What they say, and what they do will move a generation of black folks. If more rappers rapped about investing money or bragging about how many grocery stores they own other black folks will follow.

Me myself I don't listen to a lot of rap music, matter of fact the only time I listen to rap is when I pop Quiks Rhythm-al-lism while i'm on the treadmill. For the most part I'm all soul music, past and present.

All I know is that if I was to own BET or a black entertainment channel, you will not see naked women running around the screen, or rappers talking about blowing each other up unless we interview them on what there talking about before the song comes on. Like "What are you rapping about?" and they give a response on why they said that, why it's wrong, what needs to be done etc.

Anyways when I listen to some rap music, it also motivates me to want to do something in the future. When you hear a rapper talking about selling crack when they were 13 you damn well know that there is a 13 yr old kid in his same hood thats selling rocks.

So I see it as a motivation to want to do something....

As far as segregation I don't even know what you said, segregating how? Atleast tell me the page where you said you were talking about blacks segregating themselves..

let me say somthn once n for all...WHO GIVES A FROZEN FUCK PERIOD...shit you people need to realize that aint nothing going to change. Even if the government did apologized and gave lots of money to the black community that aint goin' to make a change at all. black people have there own way of lifestyle in america alot love it like that, lil bit don't cause a struggle in the ghetto they been thru and shit. i mean the way they act i dont think nothing going to change that. there not doin that to go against white people there doin' that cause thats how black people live there life style in america. now i know along time ago they did that just to go against the white people and shit but times has changed. i mean the ghetto still here but even if the government did clean the streets away there still gon act the same way but not bein very loud and shit. blk people in africa have high blood pressure but blk folks in america have a higher blood pressure then them... alot of white people don't even give a fuck how the other color acts. why the fuck would you want them (blk teens) to be like white teens? they wouldn't wanna fucking change there just gon live there life how they want it to be and yeah alot be more mature but gotta realize blk folks think different and every individual think different as well too...for example you gotta blk folk who bout 17 years old and he still in school and just got himself a brand new cadillac he drivin' around and stuff and being cool and smart enough not to do stupid things but only smoke weed (which i know alot don't do drugs) anyways this mothafucker livin' his life good and he cool with white folks you think he would want to change? HELLMOTHAFUCKIN NAH! to them it's just life and they WANT IT LIKE THAT and some do wanna be a doctor a lawyer or whatever the fuck but there still gonna act the same...little bit of white folks just see things totally different and yes i know alot of blk folks are out of control with guns ghetto's and being poor and shit like that but alot of white folks just don't care i dont mean as in not carin about blk folks but they don't care about how they life style is or what conversation they get into but im sure they'll help if one ofem is hurt... if a white person wants to enter with blk folks then the white person is going to enter and not give a flying fuck...like i said time has changed most ofem wouldn't want to change alotta ghetto mothafuckas wouldn't wanna change or them hoodrat bitches...i mean shit i know they got some problems behind them but how the way blk folks act thats like a culture to them now mentally...i know one thing for sure is God don't care how people act...lil bit of white folks think that blk people act like that just to go against white folks thats why there scared but to me blk folks just livin life. you can tell back in the days all blk people were against white but now lil bit are racists to whites and most just livin life. theres always going to be fucking racism not only in america but other countries as well some in europe and others. i don't get it the people who are talking about this shit why the fuck are they even in the fucking siccness board? most of there time they go to the music siccness board. but the ones that makin' topics about blk community's and shit why the fuck are they even postin' here?? i mean i know this is a fucking gathering of minds board but shit deal with that shit and talk about something else...let me say one more thing were almost at the end of times the crime is never gonna stop till the Lord comes but im sure later on in america the crime aint gon be the same no more like it is rightnow it's gon be waay lower...

"The really ghastly thing about trying to convey to a white man the reality of the Negro experience has nothing whatever to do with the fact of color, but has to do with this man's relationship to his own life. He will face in your life only what he is willing to face in his." --- James Baldwin, "The Black Boy Looks At The White Boy," originally published in Esquire, May 1961.

These are problems that I see with my own eyes, regardless weather you want to acknowledge them or not.
honestly not too many people acknowledge the "problems" you list as actual "problems".
I have said nothing relevant to black economics or mental slavery... what the fuck is your point?
you want people to listen to you but the majority of your posts are filled with vulgar language. THIS IS EXACTLY MY POINT. YOU HAVE SAID *NOTHING* RELEVENT TO BLACK ECONOMICS AND MENTAL SLAVERY. *THESE* ARE ****DOCUMENTED**** PROBLEMS IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY. A BLACK MAN CALLING A WHITE MAN A RACIST BECAUSE HE HAS "WHITE PRIDE" IS *NOT* A PROBLEM IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY (UNLESS ITS HATE RHETORIC).
I don't know a great deal about them, nor did I ever claim to. That statement would be usefull had I said I knew everything about the black community, or I knew every problem. I see things from a different perspective, I see some problems that you are blind to, and I listed just a few of them, and got the typical response that I expected.
YOU GOT THE TYPICAL RESPONSE THAT YOU EXPECTED? LMAO! I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU SEE THINGS FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. THATS FINE AND DANDY AND I RESPECT THAT. HOWEVER YOU HAVE OPENLY STATED THAT YOU *DONT* KNOW A GREAT DEAL ABOUT CERTAIN SITUATIONS. IN REGARDS TO HOW I ANSWERED YOU WHAT IS THE "TYPICAL RESPONSE" THAT YOU EXPECTED? PLEASE LIST THESE PROBLEMS THAT I AM BLIND TO BECAUSE I DIDNT SEE YOU LIST *ANYTHING* THAT WAS RELEVENT TO *PROBLEMS* IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY.
Wrong. You are not capable of doing that. I am more then willing to talk about what I know, and open my ears to that which I don't. If you would stop trying to argue every single thing I say, then maybe that would be possible.
YOU ARE WILLING TO TALK YET YOU HAVE CURSED AT ME IN ALMOST EVERY REPLY. IF I WAS THE FIRST TO USE FOUL LANGUAGE WITH YOU I APOLOGIZE. IF I WASNT I THINK YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR RESPONSES AND SEE WHO IS ARGUING. IM PRESENTING *PROBLEMS*. YOU ARE PRESENTING YOUR *OPINIONS*. IF YOU ARE OPEN TO THAT WHICH YOU DONT KNOW PICK UP A BOOK AND READ. BETTER YET GET OUT MORE.
I have seen you make that statement to just about everyone you argue on this board, I think its safe to say it has lost any meaning it ever carried. Yeah it would be in your own best interest to forget this part.
I DONT ARGUE WITH ANYONE. I PRESENT MY VIEWS AND LEAVE IT AT THAT. IF A PERSON DOESNT AGREE OH WELL. TO CLARIFY SOMETHING FOR YOU I ONLY USED THE ANALOGY STATEMENT ***TWICE***. THE FIRST WAS WITH NINEWUNSIXX (HIS ANALOGY MADE NO SENSE AT ALL AND OTHERS AGREED). THE SECOND TIME WAS IN REGARDS TO YOUR ANALOGY. CAN YOU PLEASE DIRECT ME TO POSTS WHERE I USED IT FOR OTHER PEOPLE I ARGUE WITH? I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. THANKS.
No, these are all based on what I see and hear. I don't need the stats to be on paper for me to know they exist. Your just upset that I have presented you with problems that I see, and your only reply is to try and discredit them by saying they are opinion and I don't have proof. What is proof.. somebody going and asking a thousand people and getting an average? Now you can take what I have said in acknowledgement, or you can argue your life away just to try and discredit my words. Makes no difference to me, my belief's on the matter won't change, until I see a change.
I DONT WANT TO CHANGE YOU. IN ALL HONESTY I WOULD *NEVER* TRY TO CHANGE A WHITE MANS PERSPECTIVE. WHAT YOU ARE LISTING AS PROBLEMS ARE OPINIONS. BLACK PEOPLE CALLING A WHITE MAN A RACIST BECAUSE HE WANTS TO HELP WHITES ONLY MEANS WHAT? HOW DOES THAT EFFECT THE BLACK COMMUNITY ON A DAILY BASIS? COMPARE *YOUR* PROBLEMS WITH THE *REAL* PROBLEMS THAT TENK,LOCA AND MYSELF HAVE PRESENTED.
LOL @ Statistics. Go read the above statement & reply, and have your fix of proof.
LOL@STATISTICS? HERE ARE STATISTICS TO A *REAL* PROBLEM IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY.

In May 1999 the World Health Organization declared that HIV/AID kills more Black people, men and women aged 25-45, than any other health related problem. The AIDS virus is currently responsible for approximately on third of all deaths of all deaths of Black men aged 25 to 44, and for approximately one fifth of deaths of Black females aged 25 to 44, according to the CDC.1e

In terms of numbers that means a death rate of 177.9 deaths per 100,000 Black men (18 per 10,000; 2 per 1000), and a death rate of 51.2 deaths per 100,000 Black females (5 per 10,000; one per 1000).>1e That means approximately 30,000 Blacks will be dying each year from HIV/AIDS, a horrendous slaughter far worse than VietNam or WWII!

CAN WE TALK ABOUT AIDS AND THE BLACK COMMUNITY? WHY ARE THESE NUMBERS SO HIGH? IS IT DUE TO LACK OF CONDOMS? ARE BLACKS USING RESOURCES THAT ARE OPEN TO THEM?
Where do you get this idea that I refuse to partake in any of these subjects? All you keep saying is "lets talk about this, lets talk about that" but you have yet to address any of these matters yourself. You are a LIAR.
I HAVE ADDRESSED THEM BY SIMPLY BRINGING THEM UP. I HAVE ADDRESSED THESE MATTERS. YOU ARE THE LIAR AND YOU WISH TO DISCREDIT ME BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. ITS OK MAN DONT BLOW A GASKET. I DONT WANT YOU POPPING BLOOD VESSELS IN YOUR NECK AND HEAD.

YOU REFUSE TO PARTAKE IN THE SUBJECTS BECAUSE YOU HAVE SAID *NOTHING* IN REGARDS TO THE SUBJECTS.
I completely agree.
SO IF YOU AGREE COMPLETELY WHY DID YOU MAKE THE PREVIOUS STATEMENT? YOU KNOW WHAT FORGET IT. LET ME MOVE ON.
That is because these are problems, that to my knowledge are already know by me you and everyone else in this thread. If you want to talk about them, then I am all for it. I am trying to shed some light on problems that are not widely known or talked about by ANYONE.
THEY ARE NOT *PROBLEMS* THEY ARE PROBLEMS BECAUSE ITS *YOUR* PERSPECTIVE. THESE SO-CALLED "PROBLEMS" DO *NOT* EFFECT THE BLACK COMMUNITY ON A DAILY BASIS. GUESS WHAT PROBLEMS DO?

BLACK ON BLACK CRIME
PRISON
ECONOMICS AND BLACK OWNED BUSINESS (LACK OF)

THESE ARE PROBLEMS KNOWN BY YOU AND I?

COMPARE YOUR STATEMENTS:
I have said nothing relevant to black economics or mental slavery... what the fuck is your point? I don't know a great deal about them, nor did I ever claim to.
TO
That is because these are problems, that to my knowledge are already know by me you and everyone else in this thread.
AND
I understand the condition of the black community, to a certain extent. In other words, there are many things I don't know about, but I never claimed to.
CAN YOU EXPLAIN THESE STATEMENTS?
You can talk all you want about how I don't have "stats" on my problems, but save yourself some time because it isn't going to satisfy anyone other then you, Tenk and your cheerleaders. As far as I am concerned, they will still exist, end of story.
I TOLD YOU WE CAN THROW THE STATS OUT THE WINDOW. THE STATS ARE ONLY USED TO VALIDATE AND IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. THEY CAN ALSO BE USED TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION.
Wrong. I know the questions you ask are problems, problems I know that exist, which is why I question the relevance. I think you see the questions as a battle of wits, i just question it.
I HAVE STATED THAT ITS *NOT* A BATTLE OF WITS. CONTINUE BELIEVING ITS A BATTLE OF WITS.

IF YOU KNOW THAT THESE QUESTIONS ARE *PROBLEMS*WHY ARENT YOU PARTAKING IN THE SEARCH FOR A SOLUTION?
Now the rest of your post is continually questioning me about my knowledge about the African American community and the problems that plauge it. I gave you insight on some of the problems I see, weather you want to believe them or not is up to you, but I know them to be true. As to how often, when, and where, are all questions that I cannot answer.
LISTEN AS I SAID BEFORE WE CAN THROW THE STATS AND QUESTIONS OUT THE WINDOW. IM TELLING YOU THEY ARENT MEANT TO PUT YOU ON THE SPOT. THEY ARE MEANT TO SHED LIGHT ON THE PROBLEMS. THE "PROBLEMS" THAT YOU SEE ARE *NOT* DETREMENTAL TO THE BLACK COMMUNITY. HERE ARE A COUPLE PROBLEMS THAT ARE:

AIDS
TEEN PREGNANCY
BLACK CULTURE (LACK OF IT AND MANIPULATION FOR $$$$)
I use vulgar language in my posts and quite often in life not because I am angry, but to better express what it is that I have to say. You accuse me of not elaborating on specific problems you present, but neither have you, for that you are a hypocrite. If you want to talk about these things then do it, don't talk about talking about them.
FIRST YOU SAY YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS NEXT YOU SAY YOU DONT KNOW. HOW CAN I PARTAKE IN THEM WITH *YOU* IF YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT WHAT IT IS YOU DO OR DONT KNOW? THE PROBLEMS I PRESENTED ARE PROBLEMS. THE PROBLEMS YOU PRSENTED ARE FROM YOUR IMAGINATION AND THEORIES.

SO LETS DISCUSS A PROBLEM. IM TRYING TO MEET YOU IN THE MIDDLE. SINCE YOU SAY IM PRESENTING PROBLEMS BUT NOT TALKING ABOUT THEM WHY DONT YOU PICK SOMETHING THAT I LISTED AND SIMPLY ASK ME TO EXPLAIN,ELABORATE OR PRESENT A SOLUTION TO? IF NOT YOU CAN PICK A PROBLEM AND PRESENT YOUR SOLUTION. IS THAT OK WITH YOU?

TO SUM IT ALL UP YOUR THREE PROBLEMS DEAL WITH THE FOLLOWING:

1.BLACKS WHO FEEL/THINK EVERYTHING IS RACIALLY MOTIVATED.

2.BLACKS WOULD CONSIDER A WHITE PERSON A RACIST IF THAT PERSON TRIED TO HELP WHITES.

3.WHITES CANT HELP BLACKS BECAUSE BLACKS WILL ARGUE AND FIGHT (VERBALLY).

IF I CAME TO THE WRONG ASSESSMENTS REGARDING YOUR PROBLEMS PLEASE CLARIFY THEM FOR ME.

HERE ARE LISTS OF PROBLEMS THAT I LISTED.

1.BLACK AWARENESS, CULTURE AND HOW MANY BLACKS KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THEIR PAST,ORIGINAL LANGUAGE ETC ETC ETC

2.BLACK EDUCATION AND IT BEING A LOW PRIORITY IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY.

3.BLACK ON BLACK VIOLENCE AND THE PRISON SYSTEM (WHICH HAS A HIGH VOLUME OF BLACK MALES)

4.BLACK SEXUALITY AND HOW IT IS EXPLOITED FOR MONETARY GAIN. NOT TO MENTION AIDS IN THE AFRICAN AMERICA COMMUNITY AND HOW IT HAS DECIMATED AFRICA.

5.BLACK ECONOMICS,BUSINESS AND NETWORKING. A BRIEF EXAMPLE IS HOW MINORITIES MAKE UP 90% OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY YET THEY DONT EVEN OWN 10% OF IT.

I ANSWERED THE THREE THINGS YOU LISTED. PAY ATTENTION TO MY ANSWER FOR YOUR #2.

an old saying I learned that applies to many blacks today.

"anything a monkey can't eat he'll shit on"

in other words. alotta niggas when they don't understand a thing they shit on it (figuratively of course). Even if it is a hand out or i way to come outta the slump.

two words pride and arrogance.

the black mans/womans plight is his self induced stereotype perpetuating pathology. racial demographics can be changed by just not being an expected statistic. teach a nigga to diversify his mindstate and mannerisms and you'll change the demography.

pulldown theoy. "if I rise to the top you'll pull me donw because either
a) you're trying to get where I am regardless of what consequences it can hold for both of us.
b) you're trying to get where I am becasue I'm there.
c) you don't want anyone to surpass you.

these are unproductive habits shared by degenerate ass niggas.

this is the problem of the with when niggas finally realize something is good either for them or to them its too late because EVERY body does it at the same time.

i.e. why Cali (in the big picture) fell off on the music tip. and i.e. Specifically Sacremento Rap ain't what it used to be.

I know I'm on a Tangent but It used to be a few Sac rappers that you could just dig and choose who's the best. but now there are like 10 "blocc" rappers that have put out albums consecutively within a 6 month period. who has opportunity to eat when everyone is trying to eat at the same time? this is why Major labels time and push back releases. suntin to think about. but as I said niggas are flooding the market with too many personal projects which thins the money pot [side note watch ol dudes theory in a beautiful mind].

e.a.
$20 on the table once a week.in five dollar bills
a beneficiary has two chances to grab and can only take a quarter of the $20 every 6 hours.

if there is one beneficiary per month the beneficiary will win.

in another case:
$20 on the table once a week.in five dollar bills
5 beneficiaries have 2 chances at the same time to grab and can only take a quarter of the $20 every 6 hours.

in this case some people may never get a dollar. and other people may run outta chances

a simple logic alotta nigas can't see.

I miss the spirit of edutainment. I completely loathe this thug/gangsta shit now. It's so cliche

TRUE! A lot of times they DONT understand because of FEAR.
two words pride and arrogance.

racial demographics can be changed by just not being an expected statistic. teach a nigga to diversify his mindstate and mannerisms and you'll change the demography.
i agree with this also. you MUST expand, travel, READ and learn. *READING* is something black people (especially young black males) will SHUN. thats why im ALWAYS on my nephews. READ, READ, READ! exercise your brain because it helps you in the long run. DONT look at it as "punishment".

LMAO!
this is the problem of the with when niggas finally realize something is good either for them or to them its too late because EVERY body does it at the same time.
THATS REAL TALK.
i.e. why Cali (in the big picture) fell off on the music tip. and i.e. Specifically Sacremento Rap ain't what it used to be.I know I'm on a Tangent but It used to be a few Sac rappers that you could just dig and choose who's the best. but now there are like 10 "blocc" rappers that have put out albums consecutively within a 6 month period. who has opportunity to eat when everyone is trying to eat at the same time? this is why Major labels time and push back releases. suntin to think about. but as I said niggas are flooding the market with too many personal projects which thins the money pot [side note watch ol dudes theory in a beautiful mind].
the time for master p flooding (saturating the market) and 50 trillion compilations has come to a screeching halt. major labels have sucked up indie labels and mmade them pawns and puppets. its cool to deal with a major label but when you dont own your publishing or masters something is wrong. which brings me to this point.

minorities make up apprx 90% of the music biz but dont control/own 10% of the wealth. you have a few people like L.A. REID, RUS SIMMONS, PUFFY,MASTER P and SUGE KNIGHT who actually OWN a piece of empire they started. why cant they own it ALL? why cant blacks open up pressing plants, graphics plants, major studios and distribution companies?

another thing about the music biz is that people dont take the TIME to READ, RESEARCH and APPLY. If you claim to be a rapper you should be able to tell me the diffference between a dynamic and condensor mic. i dont want to hear "i dont know all i do is rap". thats YOUR "instrument" you SHOULD and MUST know everything about it. it will save you TIME and MONEY!

if you are a rapper you should understand form pa and sr. if someone asks you about copyrights and registration dont say "i let my folks handle that" or "i sent it to myself i used the poor mans copyright". why dont YOU handle YOUR business interests the CORRECT way?

"LAZINESS WILL KILL YOU" my great grandma used to always say that. as a child i didnt know what she meant. now i do.

when the area is saturated with product you can do one of three things.

1.MOVE to a DIFFERENT area which has NOT been exploited.

2.REFINE your product and be more SPECIFIC in your "target audience".

3.keep doing the same thing for the rest of your career. put out an album every 6 months, get a deal from a janky distributor and pray (if you believe in prayer) that everything works out.

so how do we change the stupidity in the music biz amongst black people? change the mindset (especially business mindset) AND topics that are rapped about or discussed in song.

JFK library in vallejo has the LARGEST inventory of MUSIC BOOKS (compared to other libraries in the bay) relevent to BUSINESS and "how to do". we have A LOT of rappers in vallejo but when we had a music seminar (www.artistpro.com planned and sponsered the event) not ONE black artist (outside of myself) showed up. SAD. all this *FREE* knowledge gets passed up. the panel consisted of BEHIND THE SCENES people (people who serve on the grammy board, book publishers, lawyers, music teachers and engineers). after the seminar i met 5 "big wigs",handed out material, received cards and have been in CONSTANT contact with the most important of the 5.

in my opinion a lot of up and coming black artist didnt show up because

1.it had to do with a library and reading (im serious)

2.the people behind the event were NOT well known (to those outside of the BUSINESS spectrum).

now compare that to the event at the omegas boys club in vallejo. they had 2 A&R reps from def jam, b-legit and richie rich. about a thousand negroes showed up with cd's ,flyers etc etc etc. i was probably the ONLY person in the crowd that asked RELEVENT questions. after the event i talked to Rich about piracy. after the convo was over i bounced. as i walked out i saw flyers,cd's that were left behind and stickers. im GLAD i didnt bring any product, cards etc etc etc. why network or pass out material when hundreds of other cats are doing the same thing?

blacks DO associate with NAME. more so than ANY other race and its been PROVEN. black people are more prone to buy name brand products than any other race (i listed the statistics in another "black" thread). so in this case it HAD to be the name game.

WOW! preach nigga!

@ the read thing - I'm glad to hear another black man encouraging the kids around him to read. stressing the importance of reading to my cousins and my female friend's son has always been a struggle.

man @ the mic thing. That was some real shit. I could go into detail but in general you nailed it.

@copyright papers - not only a SR (which basically covers your PA and TX simultaneously) and PA (performance) but a TX (literary work) CA ("copyright amplification" to recieve royalty credit for every song you register on a disk not just for the disk as a collective work) CON if you run outta space and your VA if you get into DVD's and shit.

you can't MAKE MOST niggas spend one moment to READ copyright papers.

in general if you're doing an album you should be spending at the least $130 for copyright registration.

you cali niggas got hella advantages. the truth is this. it is ridiculuous that there aren't more long term consistantly successful cats like pufy jay-z and them in cali.

In Oklahoma a person has to MAKE the market. in Cali its already fertile ground.

you know. @ brand names it's not just black people but blacks follow them worst of all.
e.a. why the fuck do niggas like gucci versace coogi and shit like that?? half the shit most niggas can't spell but if they heard the name and was pointed where to get it they'd buy it.

but @ posters and stickers and other SHIT, here's a thing to ponder. if one would spend 500 on posters 200 on stickers 100 on flyers wouldn't one just sell that shit? (but that's just me) I can understand giving a few hear and there to the record stores and mom and pops for consigning your shit but I've seen cats IN MY TOWN do this stupid and lazy shit.

Instead of hitting the streets they got to the record store and drop a bundle of about 100 posters and stickers on the counter expecting people to just pickem up and takem withem?????

This might be totally of subject but you know what was a good T.V. show Saved by th Bell. Any of yall ever watch that when you were younger?

It had the smart rich white kid, the nerd, the puerto rican jock dude, the fine chic, the black chic, the feminist chic. But guess what? They were all friends. Hmmm...

What the fucks up with that shit?

Even tho it was kinda corny that had to of been the most unsegregated, unrascist group of kidz I'd ever seen.

Yeah they all argued amongst themselves but when one of them was in trouble, the rest of the posse was there to get shit handled.

Now that's unity with diversity.

And that's some good television.

It's how America should be.

You know what would of really sucked? If all the crew decided that they only wanted to hang around their stereotypes. Then the gang would of broken up into five different gangs. They would of slowly but surely gotten more dumber as time passed, from pride and closed mindedness. Eventually they wouldn't of been able to solve shit for problems cuz they ain't thinkin as a team no more. And as more time passed their clans would of went to war tryin to kill each other only because the original five leaders hated each other and wanted to prove who was better.

When we all know that Zack was the one everyone followed. Now don't go all thinkin why'd it have to be Zack why couldn't it of been Screech, or Slater, or Lisa, or Kelly, etc.? Because if you watch the show and take it apart in pieces and leave out the factor of skin color, hair color, the way they dressed, etc. Zack did for the whole of the group. Yeah he had his problems he's only a kid but in the end he always tried to resolve the problem the group was havin and he always learned from his mistakes.

Alright you rascist bastards don't go off into your own worlds thinkin that the whiteman must of fixed the show to make the white kid the leader. Cuz the instant you start to look at it in that light that's all your gonna find.

Try breakin it down as five people who have different strengths and weaknesses coming together as a whole. One is smart, one is strong, one is forceful, one is kind, and one was a leader. And once you start applying these views and ideas to your own life maybe you too can start to come together as one people working for the benefit of his/her neighbor in a selfless society, finding your own strengths and weaknessess along the way, and then maybe oneday we can all, are you ready for this?.............. be saved by the bell. :)

If only life were that simple.
