I completely agree with what Sick Wid It said. And another thing, the other day I realized just how tired I am of most new Bay Area rap, it seems as if everybody is too concerned with trying to be the "hardest gangsta to eva live" than making good music.

Alot of what everybody is saying is true.

Dubbing tapes and now CDs has been going on since the beginnning. But now you can get a whole album before it even hits the streets. It takes away from pre-orders, and softens the hype on the release date cause half your fans burnt it off the computer, or copied a friends when they got the album. We are all cheap, sh@t we live in California. Some settle for a copy at $5, rather than paying $15. The Radio issue, the day will come when the barrier will be broken. It will take someone or something very special. A-Wax, you are on your way to the top. Everytime I talk to someone, you are always in the conversation. Do the Damn thang! Well, if you're wondering why people from the bay buy Nas before they buy artists from the bay, it's because Nas is just putting out better shit. Let's call a spade a spade here... The bay isn't suffering because it's artists are not putting out quality shit.

Sometimes I think the only thing seperating the Bay's shit from the South is that the south has better beats. Rapping about guns and hos ain't nothing, and that's why nobody's buying. So we got two ways we can go: we can either fade out, or we can start putting out quality music. Shit... stop playing follow the leader. Nas comes with new ideas and sharp lyrics on every album, and that's why people check for him.

But if you think we can keep putting out wack albums and survive, you're kidding yourself... It isn't that the radio stations don't play bay music... they don't play bad music

All artists in the bay have to ask themselves a question: What seperates my CD from the next man's shit? I mean damn... the last album from the bay that got any play around the country was Mystic and did she succeed by following the trend? Fuck no, and look what happened to her : she got swooped by Dreamworks, and now she's on her way to a career that most of us would kill for.

the east coast don't hate us...maybe certain individuals...
i know i'm in a group with a cat from Camden New Jersey (the hardest hood in New Jerz) and we rep for eachother constantly...and we're currently talkin to majors all because of an EAST COAST CAT showin love to this youngsta from the bay...

i've also been in a crew with cats from Richmond Viriginia, the Bronx, Newark New Jersey and Atl...all showed love majorly...we parted ways due to financial reasons but they my folks

everywhere got love for everywhere...
stupid mothafuckas hate because of the coast you live in...and i don't associate with them type of cats, so you might be right and i just don't know it

A-Wax: I'm not really referring to you. I wish you lots of success, and some major cash, but when I go out and buy music, I look for Ras Kass, Mega, Nas, Pac, etc. Mostly people who give me something for my mind. Sometimes I like the people with the quick tongue and funny punchlines, like Crooked I or something, but the rap that people remember is the intelligent shit.

That's why so many of us still mourn Pac.

Youngmoe, I think he means people from New York. But I agree ;I don't think the East hates on us. There's a history with Jers and the west for example, and Nas gives it up for Pac on like every album.
