real chop assassin. i remember i chopped it up wit a grip of different folkz frum the radio stationz... from dudez frum wack ass 102.5 to strawberry about this jus to get their opinionz. i pretty much said how will folkz ever know about whats goin on around here if itz never gettin played? they told me well we jus play what people ask for... then i came up on how do people find out whats goin on with T.I. or mike jones new singlez? you guys play it over and over promoting it like hell and no one is askin for it cuz they dont know about it.... why cant U do that for the bay area catz tryin jus to get "on the block" show on KMEL? then they gave me a bullshit excuse sayin LA's got a big enough market to be playin new stuff like that. and they cant be doin that becuz they aint got a big enough market and they will continue 2 play what people are requesting... and these are foo'z that say they got love for the bay and the westcoast? bullshit. ive edited trackz to strawberry and sent em to him jus to give em at least a spin to see what folx think. i have yet to hear 1 track ive ever sent him. its bullshit.
i agree wit U to an extent a-wax. i do believe we need to support our folx frum the homeside first before an eastcoast album.... IF it's worth it $$$ wise. ill tell u str8 up i aint feelin ya boy. but (for example) im feelin T.I. more. both albumz drop on the same day. not all of us got enough money to buy every album droppin. so if im feelin T.I. more than ya boy, im supposed 2 cop ya boy even tho I aint feelin him cuz hes westcoast? nah. give credit where its due. itz good to have alotta pride for ur side but to go cop whatevers cumin frum the west cuz its west? nah, ive gotten over that way of perspective. if it slaps, it slaps and imma cop it.

I think bay area rap is kind of going down. There's just to many rappers. There's to many comp's , mixtapes . It's not like the old day were you had group like IMP, GLP, UDI. when you buy a cd theres is a lot of people on there. Every album says featuring someone. Before it just had them. I think also they try to put to many songs like 20. Ill rather have 10 to 12 songs that are good then 18 to 20 and most of them suck. They say frontline, balance there tight(the new bay) What have they done nothing. They have not made any classics like Ill mannered playaz , straight outta labb, season of the siccness, till my casket drops, lesson to be learned, SLM I think because frisco rap went down the bay went down. before people say the bay will be back soon albums have to live up to the standards of the old classic ones. Like black c says in straight outta hunters point DVD they did not no about budgets and all that stuff. They just did there lesson 2 be learned classic and it sold because it was tight. If the album is tight people will buy it. I love bay area rap. Also I dont remember hearing rbl posse on the radio and it still sold over 250,000. Now when I buy a cd I hope theres just at least one good song. and I have to hear northern-ridaz before buying a album. before artists did not have that and they still sold a lot of albums. Who cares about the east coast and the down south theres always new rappers that are one hit wonders. It's not like cougnut and the imp worried about the east coast or the west coast when they made there classic album. Now you dont no who produces the songs. BAY AREA RAP FOR LIFE
I'm tired of hearing "we need originality to blow", thats bullshit, you can't turn on the radio to KMEL or WILD and tell me you hearing originality. The people running the mainstraim rap game (mostly from the east) do hate on us. I just saw a "30 years of hiphop" repeat the other day on vh1, talking about the differences between westcoast and the eastcoast in the 90's, and how they hated on our style until WE MADE IT FAMOUS WITHOUT THEM. They still steady hating, we got a couple real mainstream hits, and that shit was over in a few years. There aint no place for the westcoast in mainstream pop rap unless you make it yourself, then they want to come to get a piece.
It only takes one rapper for the bay to be back. Like a JT the bigga figga, Yukmouth, san quinn, c-bo but its not happening. I hate when they say the music sounds like the 90's and the bay needs a new style. Fuck That. What wrong with that. The difference between the bay area rap and the east coast is every one year theres different rappers. Like one year it DMX then its 50 cent. Now texas and mike jones and them are popular. next year every one is going to forget about mike jones and move to another state. Thats why we should not forget these older rappers like jt, yukmouth ,c-bo, quinn, because they have been puttin it down for a long time. The New Bay yea right. THe old BAY.
