If McClain isn't as good as Patrick Willis it won't be worth the pick. Is McClain that much better than Morrison? The Raider run D better be improved.

I thought the Raiders should have drafted offense since they have a really hard time scoring points. Running back wasn't a position of need, but you can't pass on a play maker like Spiller. Bush is good but lacks that homerun speed, and McFadden is always hurt, fumbling, slipping, or running right into defenders instead of trying to make them miss.

Mabye I'm wrong about the McClain pick, so we'll see.

What a joke. I wonder if Sam Bradford is already being compared to Peyton Manning or Drew Brees, or Dez Bryant to Andre Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald.

To say the pick is not worth it if he's not as good as Willis is foolish. Willis is a special kind of player that doesn't come along very often. Yes I am into flashy picks.... when you draft that high you have to get playmakers. I wish the Raiders nothing but luck, maybe in a few years they'll win the SuperBowl like the Saints did when I left.

Brandon Spikes is raw and will struggle early. I'm sure he'll get it together and become a good LB, but McClain was the best going into the draft and was chosen accordingly. I do agree it wasn't a need for the raiders, but they obviously had him as the best player available and went for him, unlike in years past when they would have picked the flashiest player available with no supporting cast to help him (McFadden among others). I think the McClain pick was solid and their most reasonable first round selection in many years.

Morrison was a big reason our run defense being horrendous the last 4 years. He is always out position and cannot get off blocks. Linebackers are supposed to make plays, just not 5-6 yards down field ala Morrison. McClain is going to be special. What seperates the great players in the league from the average players that have the ability is work ethic. McClain is a man amongst boys in that aspect along with Willis. I am not saying Willis is not a great player, but until you guys get to the next level it just does not mean shit. The Raiders have added pieces to the puzzle this offseason. If Cambell can play in our system the Russell draft does not hurt us. You are nothing but a biased niner fan. You guys should be taking notes. But it's ok.
