okay...where the fuck do i start with car audio?

i have a new car so the speakers arent bad but i guess theres too much highs in the shit, even with the treble all the way down...

do i just need an amp? if thats all i need, what can i do without going too high-end with a nice output?

and what exactly is the difference in a technical sense between a car amp and a stereo amp?

all help is appreciated im not big on cars so i dont know where to fuckin start with this shit....

Problem Solved: It was 1 thread of wire I couldn't see. It was brushing against the opposite connector creating static. Shit was annoying.

my setup was working. and while driving the subs had cut off , i thought it was a loose wire but once at my destination, i saw that everything was still connected right . all light were on and ok. what happen? why arent my subs coming on anymore?

the subs are wired to there own terminals on the box. the subs are wired ++ , -- to each other then inserted into the amp.

ayo can anybody help wit this?

my rca cables disconnected, like the tips on both parts fell off.

is it fixable? and if i could solder it back together, which side do i pick to make sure its right?

one side of the wire has a little red wire in it, the other wire doesent. do i connect the red tip to the side with the little red wire in it , or the black tip to that wire?

oooooo not good. Sounds like blown subs to me. Too be sure get a battery from a battery powered drill or cordless drill and touch one of the positive and negative wires to the postive and negative posts on the battery to see if the subs move in and out at all. if they dont the sub is blown. if they do t hen iwould say the amp has a problem.

if you just want an amp for your vocals(not bass-subs) then all you need is a 4 channel amp thats pushin minimal watts outta of each channel. For example, a 500 or 400 watt kenwood 4 channel(any brand) would probably be ideal. I don't there's a difference between a car amp and a stereo amp, except for power that is--being that the car amp would put out alot less power.

Man before you do ANYTHING, check your ground. I'd say the ground wire is the problem 90% of the time a stereo cuts out.
