The system is deffinately flawed. I do think violent and non violent offenders should be housed in diff prisons. But also you gotta remmember, you know what the punishment is when your about to committ the crime, no matter how rediculous it may be. Like the saying goes, to do the crime, you do the time.....

yet i am civilized, i am a student at CSUS, i have never gone to jail, worst that ever happened to me was once i was caught freeing from the rooster fights, yet they let me go they just ran a backround check to make sure i had no warrants it came back clean and so they released me.

If it were so simple you would think people wouldn't do it. Maybe there is more time because its alot more dangerous. It sure is hell of a lot more addictive than regular coke. you are very ignorant.....you see things so simply it kills me. black people serve more time and get caught more often thru racial profiling in general. add the tougher sentences for crack cocaine versus powder and you're looking at a severely unequal system. the reagan administration called this the "war on drugs" which is really a way to get more black people imprisioned. when i get a moment, i will hit you off with the statistics.

jail doesnt make u better, it makes u harder and more hateful. i have had lots of friends go to jail, and they came back! oh shit, they got kicked outta school, or did drugs again. a few slipped in and out of boot camp. but if i go to jail, imma be hard as a rock and come in swinging! i swear, i would. but i pray that will never happen.

I believe blacks represent about 10%-13% of america.

I also believe around 70% of people in prison are black.

You might want to double check those numbers but I am sure they are very close.

yo, i just wanted to say that all ppl struggle. and its hard in life and in jail. but ppl keep sayin that only 1 race struggles, whether it be blacks, arabs, jews etc. all ppl struggle, and some do get profiled. but dont sweat it. they will get it better if they just keep thier faith, and things will work out for them. i feel that there are alot of humans in jail. we aint black we aint white, there is no color in gods vision. we gotta stop this race thing, cuz in the end every1 finishes in 1st place.

But, I will say that in the year 2002 blacks, mexicans, etc. etc. still struggle MORE then white people.

Im sure when you watch tv you see all races that are "making it" but the tv only represents less then 1% of our population.

I'm just showing some numbers that basicaly state we do not live in a equal nation. I blame society for these numbers, not any race.
