neither guy is serious. Floyd confirmed he won't do 50/50. blame goes on both these drama queens.

not watching either guys next fight unless pac fights Bradley and Floyd Martinez, other than that don't care
I would actually like to watch of course Pac-Floyd but since it doesnt look like its going to happen.
Pac vs Marquez or Ortiz-Berto winner. And for Floyd vs Canelo

I kinda feel that Ortiz set a bad example for young & hungry fighters due to his headbutt against Floyd.
He kinda gave off the impression that he was just too young and hungry and couldnt handle a fight against a high raking fighter like Floyd that he just wanted to get in and destroy him (which i think he was doing) so now the public sees young fighters kinda hesitant against big fighters.

at least ortiz actually fought and beat a legit champ though. he beat berto which made Ortiz a champ and the highest ranked fighter available to floyd. name one champion canelo beat? name one top 5 fighter he beat? name one contender he beat? you can't, not a single name. so it's not even about being young and hungry it's about accomplishing something and as of now canelo hasn't done anything. until he beats a berto, a cotto, a James Kirkland, a lara, or hell even an angulo or paul williams he shouldnt even be mentionef as an opponent.

I think Mayweather and Manny are negotiating behind Arum's back. I think Mayweather is breaking down how much money Manny can really with this fight. Arum is pulling out all of his best BS excuses to stop the fight from happening.

If Mayweather and Manny don't fight in May, I would like for them to sign a deal to fight in November, if they both win their next fight.
If they SIGN UP to fight eachother I have no problem with Mayweather vs Canelo/Cotto at 154lb, and Manny vs Bradley at 147lb.

Mayweather-
Canelo will enter the ring against Floyd at about 165-170lb, and Mayweather will be at 150-155lb. We're not talking about Floyd moving up to 154lb to fight shot to shit Margarito. Canelo is young, skilled boxer, big, strong, and he doesn't know how the lose yet.
With Cotto I just want to see Mayweather beat his overrated ass, because Cotto is another Top Rank fighter that piggybacked on the promise of fighting Floyd.

Manny-
Bradley is in his prime, strong, big heart, fast hands, good boxing skills, and he doesn't know how to lose or backdown in the ring.

I want Mayweather vs Manny on May 5th but if they sign the contracts to fight in Nov or Dec, I'm good with these fights listed above.

Exactly Tony.

I'm not sure why Floyd has changed his stance on the 50/50 all of a sudden. Seems like he likes to create these hoops to make Pacquiao jump through, and it really makes you wonder if he really wants the fight on May 5th.

Besides, it would seem to me that he would have less leverage than before, seeing that they were literally handing tickets out for Floyd's last fight, and Manny's was one of the most successful in a long time. 50/50 is what it should be, period.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was looking for a lesser opponent at the moment, especially after reading what the guy in his camp said.

I'm tired of this BS man. Floyd already picked the venue, date, and got Pacquiao to agree to the drug test.

He could at least cut Pacquiao some slack and take the 50/50 split. If that's the only thing holding this fight up then it's on Floyd now. He talked to Pacquiao personally and all Pacquiao said was "50/50" split and we have a fight?

So WTF is the problem, Floyd????

I think cuz pac some months ago said he wouldn't mind taking a smaller purse but floyd should know there is no way in hell top rank would do a smaller purse, so obviously it should be 50/50 if pac has to do the drug testing, fight on that date and that venue.

but whatever, I've moved on.

True that bigface it's not like Cotto got his fame for being an exciting Puerto Rican who could sell out MSG by fighting you. It's not like people in PR don't always back their top fighters and were desperately looking for someone to cling on to since Tito retired. He clearly got his fame from piggybacking off Mayweather's success, it's the only logical thing.

Mayweather vs. Cotto deal near?

By Rey Colón -The Sport Press

The announcement that WBA super welterweight king Miguel Cotto and WBC welterweight monarch Floyd Mayweather Jr. will meet on May 5 could occur in the next few days. Cotto, now a free agent, had several meetings with long time promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank, but no agreement was reached. The Sport Press learned that Golden Boy Promotions, who does business with Mayweather Jr., made a juicy offer to Cotto immediately after efforts failed to make a bout between the ‘Pretty Boy’ and Manny Pacquiao. In fact, José Sulaimán, president of the WBC, announced in Mexico that Mayweather Jr and Pacquiao will fight in November in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, therefore the date of May 5 is free for Mayweather Jr to face Cotto.
