Let me break it down for the slow. The PPV money is a 50/50 split. But Manny's purse money is up to Top Rank and there bullshit investors. Mayweather's purse will be paid by GBP. Now if Manny was a free agent and GBP was the only promoter GBP would pay both Manny's and Mayweather's purses. If the fight is made it will be a co-promoted event with GBP and Top Rank working together. It's up to Top Rank to pay Manny's purse and GBP will pay Mayweather's purse with the money they will make from the event.

Floyd himself said he wont do 50-50 apparently. I don't know bigface, in any fight with two promoters there is always a split of the revenue. I don't know what you mean that GB is responsible for Floyd and Top Rank is responsible for Manny, that's true when it comes to the fighters guarantee, but the PPV, the gate, all that has to split on an agreed upon percentage (either 50/50, or 60/40 or whatever the case may be). So yeah, just another problem in this BS drama.

WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs) is apparently not on board with WBO king Manny Pacquiao’s request for a 50/50 revenue split, which pertains to a potential May 5th mega-fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. As previously reported, Mayweather recently made a direct phone call to Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz, who placed Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38KOs) on the phone with the undefeated star from Las Vegas. Pacquiao told Mayweather that a 50-50 split would seal the deal on a possible May fight.
But, during the latest episode of ESPN's Sportscenter, Mayweather was quoted as saying the following:
“He asked about a 50/50 split and I told him no, that can’t happen, but what can happen is you can make more money fighting me than you have made in your career. I also let him know I’m in control on my side but he needs to get on the same page as his promoter so we can make this fight happen.”
If Mayweather does not agree to a 50-50 split, then Pacquiao will likely return on June 9th at temporary outdoor venue near the Las Vegas Strip.

Floyd is being too demanding now, if the fight doesn't happen I'm going to blame him (if he turned down the 50/50 split).

yeah that's a little strange on floyd's part. I'm not blaming him though since bob arum/top rank made 50 trillion excuses in the first place in the last couple of months. We don't know if the fight would happen even if floyd did accept 50/50. But if that truly is the last hurdle to overcome then yeah, both are to blame.
If the purse split is the "only" thing holding the fight up then I'm blaming Floyd. I think Floyd does deserve a bigger share but for the fans sake, just accept the 50/50 split and fight. Floyd picked the date and venue, he could at least give Pacquiao the 50/50 split and not trip. Plus Pacquiao agreed to the drug testing demands already.

forget about this fight, it will never happen. Rigondeaux vs Ramos tonight on Showtime, should be interesting. Let's see if Rigondeaux can become champion after only 8 fights. His amateur record is insane - just about 400 wins with only 12 losses (includes beating Gamboa a few times and two gold medals of course).
