I don't like Leonard Ellerbe, but I think he's dead on with this:
In my opinion, the main obstacle on why, and this is solely my opinion, is why [Bob Arum] hasn't made the fight, is because this would the first time where Manny Pacquiao was able to see what's in the pot of money. And for all of the other pay-per-view fights that he's fought, obviously he would see and obviously he would know that Floyd makes tens of millions of dollars more than he does and he would look at that, in my opinion, and say 'I've been underpaid.' See, because the books would be open. That's my opinion.
Top Rank, in my opinion, want to make their fights internally because they want to control both sides of the promotion. They want to keep the money in their house. That way, the revenue that's in place, they control the revenue. They pay the fighters what they want to pay them, in my opinion. Nobody is looking at their books and challenging what's what.

he did say he wants floyd but he's too dumb/naive to realize what's going on right under his own nose. It's a shame but the guy isn't too bright with this sort of stuff. Great person, great fighter, incredibly naive (he has a 400 person posse that just leaches off him every day, he doesn't realize the guy that is his own personal adviser michael koncz is and always has been a very close friend of bob arum (in fact bob arum hired him to be his personal adviser in the first place!)).
Bob Arum hates ODLH and Mayweather for leaving him and making more money without him. Bob Arum pulled the plug on the March 2010 fight, then blamed the fight not happening on drug testing and Mayweather. Arum and Manny walked away from the fight. Arum has been lying to the fans since the Cotto fight, selling all of Manny's leftover PPV fights with a promise of fighting Mayweather next. I'm sick of the BS. Win, lose, or draw Manny is going into the boxing hall of fame. Manny's hall of fame status is set already a lost to Mayweather won't keep him out of the Hall. Manny owes Mayweather a fight for piggybacking off of Mayweather's fame, fighting all the guys that Mayweather beat 1st, and the two years of calling him a ducker and coward. Manny needs to man up and fight Mayweaher.

“No judge ever said that Floyd Mayweather has to fight on a certain day,” Arum states. “Sure, he has to fight before he goes to the clink on June 1. But any day in May is OK. You can read the transcript and the court minutes from that (January 6) hearing – you’ll see the judge never required his next fight to take place on May 5.”
“The outdoor stadium we are working on, will seat 38,000,” says Arum. “My initial estimates were 40,000, but it’s a little less. But you do the arithmetic – a venue more than twice the size of the MGM Grand means you bring in more than twice as much money. It’s a no-brainer.”
“Why are we so insistent on the end of May – it’s a fair question,” Arum acknowledges. “We had the architects in here going over all of the plans. The earliest estimate for having the stadium completed is the beginning of May. But of course, you have to be conservative.
“A couple of extra weeks to ensure that it goes up with no lingering problems, it makes the end of the month a no-brainer, and gives Mayweather time to fight before he has to do his bit.”
