I didn't attack anything

But didn't the same men create religion?

I don't recall me comparing science with religion.
I don't even understand the comparison, this is like comparing psychology with biology.
Atheist don't pray to science, we don't worship Einstein or Tesla something like that.
Like 2-0 already said, science is just observating what is.
While religion is believing in something you can't actually proof there is.

I must disagree.
Science seeks to explain certain phenomena that occur not only on earth but pretty much everywhere.

As far as I know the religious people are quick to call an 'unknown' or unexplainable phenomena; god's work.
Without really investigating for themselves what that phenomena could be. with sometimes there are perfectly logical explanations for these phenomena.

Like I said, it's comparing apples with oranges.
I don't understand why you are so fixated with comparing the two.

Don't you know the Vatican has it's own scientist, astrologist etc etc??

Science shares no blame as far as I can see it.
We can make uranium to make nuclear power so we don't have to use the fossil fuels anymore, great!

But with the same uranium we can build a nuclear bomb. Is it sciences fault?
Or the people who intent to use that bomb?

I can ask a thousand people of the same religion on their religion and get a thousand different answers.
While science remains factual.

I don't have any beef with religion, I've seen it helping a lot of people getting of their lowest point.
But you keep comparising science and religion which in my opinion just is not possible.

Because science is not only for the atheists but also for you as a christian.

It has been a while since I listened to gangster rap actually.
I'm going to light this joint, because god put this plant in the earth for us to smoke it!
Only the beginning was meant for you Iaoish. But since you commented on all...Why do you keep asking me why I am comparing religion and science? That's the whole point of what I wrote not to compare the two, which atheistis proponents of science seem to love to do. And for the simple shit you wrote like Science explains everything, I know this, that's not the point of what I was getting to. You can't compare the two, and if you do, then both have to abide by similar rules, and if that is true then science can be implicated for the same reasons religion is.

I don't belong in that group of atheists you wrote about though.
In that post you kept comparing them seemed.
But we agree then that we can't compare the two.

The reason I asked the Dahmer question is, psychology is considered a sector of medicine, which is the science of art and healing. It's still science, like it or not. How is stem cell research science and psychology isn't? I'm not trying to flex knowledge, I'm asking...?

I flat out saw Dahmer talking about realizing everything he did was wrong and devoted his life to Christ. He knew he was never getting out and would die in the prison one way or another. He was killed by his cellmate I believe. They didn't always find something different with serial killers brains. I have researched that quite a bit. I think it was John Wayne Gacy's brain that they were appalled that it looked totally normal and he was a ruthless killer

So "god" basically made the implants? You're telling me there's a guy who's fucking around with the Universe for all eternity? Just imagine living forever. Life would never end. Ever. You'd get bored sooner than you think. One of the most beautiful things about life is death.

Would this "god" still love me if I spat in his face and disowned him as my creator?
yes, he would love you still...so much that hed send you to a holy fire to burn slowly for all eternity

You know what bugs me when people talk about atheists and agnostics trying to discredit their faith or change their beliefs? Its like how many atheists or agnostics have knocked on your door trying to convert you or spread their word? How many of them have tried to hand you pamplets when in public and when you say "no thanks" they usually yell at you about how you are wrong and are going to pay for it for not believing what they do? How many stand on major city street corners with loud speakers and huge signs telling everyone that if you aren't with them you might as well be against them while reciting what they believe?

Yeah, that's what I thought. So you have to put up with internet atheists/aganostics that can be a little overbearing where in the real world a lot more people of all walks of religion try to cram it down EVERYONES throat all day every day and even in more ways then three examples I just gave.

I actually think that the street corner preaching is totally ineffective. Preaching with a bull horn etc... I've yet to meet a person that accepted that style of teaching or sharing of faith. I do have to say though that at least they're trying. I'm not sure the motivation or reasoning behind it but I can't knock them without knowing that I guess.

I can't tell you how many times an athiest or agnostic has gone off on some tangent and blasting God without knowing what I believe too, so it does happen. You may not realize it as much if you're not a non-believer. The metaphor for that is people saying jokes about mexicans. It may not bother you as much or you may turn a deaf ear to it if you're from Pakistan. I, being Mexican, get pissed about it. There's fire from both side breh, not just Christians or non believers. It also changes in the area that you're in. In the bible belt, you're bound to hear more Christian talk. In Berkeley, you have so many liberals shouting out stuff at parades and free thinkers in their first year in college that they're liable to say anything before changing their minds by next semester

Here's the problem with Athiests. The athiests i've seen look down towards the people who believe that there is more to life than this shithole called earth. Why is it their business what other people believe in? If they choose not to believe in anything higher than them that's their issue, but don't get on me because i believe/feel/know that this can't be it. You give humans too much credit. You need to accept the fact that everything just can't be explained with science and logic as much as you would like to be able to do so.

Bet when your mom gets cancer you're the first mother fucker on the ground talkin bout "oh God please don't let my mom die", the fuck outta here with that.

There's nothing wrong with having faith in God. If it makes someone a better person then who are you to tell them anything different.

Yes there are the occasional idiots who declare war in God's name, or that tell people to burn in hell, or act all high and mighty because they're Christians, those are the people who obviously havent read the Bible because God doesnt like a show off.

So if you dont believe thats fine, but dont try to act like you're smarter or better than me because in truth you're only showing how ignorant and selftish you can really be by not accepting the fact that your mind isnt the only one in the world and everyone is not just like you. Thats goes for Athiests and Christians alike.

I've seen and dealt with things that let me know God is real. You can't tell me what the weather is gonna be next week but you sware you know how the universe was created? Fuck outta here.

All im sayin is this, you believe what you wanna believe and ill believe what i wanna believe, when our time comes and we meet our maker, i'll have nothin to worry about. If you dont believe the same, then you'll have nothing to worry about either.

I'm not going to hate on scientists or athiests. I just don't understand why athiests spend so much time trying to prove that something (God)they don't believe in, doesn't even exist. If athiests truly 100% believed that there was no such thing as a God, it would never be part of their conversation. They would never waste their time talking about it.

Oh I know there are hardline athiests out there, I've met them. But religious people that way out number them probably like 1000/1. You say that about people blasting god bothers you but why should I have to have some religious people try to make me believe something I don't probably a lot more often? It's like the opposite side of the same coin your are complaining about. I have no problem with what people believe in at all. Just keep it at home or your place of worship and don't go throwing it around at others that A. have differing beliefs or B. have none at all.

Fiddie we are cool and I'm too hungover to want to really debate it breh but it's a lot fucking more then the occasional religious person. Especially for the part in bold.

By they way I'm talking about all religious people when I've posted in this thread I'd just like to make it clear. No one religion in paticular.
