...yea, I'm protected...
Today an interesting thing has happend to me; as I was walking up the stairs on my way to class, I was stopped by an older gentleman who was working for the university as a painter and he saw me with a micky deez bag and said "hey, let me have one of those sandwiches," so I said he could have one knowing in my heart that charity is the greatest of all loves. After he asked me for the sausage buscuit, I pulled it from the sack and offred it to him, but he insisted that I keep it beacuase he didnt want the sandwich. As he spoke to me he looked directly into my eyes and he addressed me as his "brother" and told me to read the 91st chapter of psalms and to pray and ask god to continue to be with me, for he proclaimed that "surely I have the victory." As he walked down the stairs he praised the lord and told me to ask it in "jeezus'is" name. I did not find this odd, for to me, I interpreted this incident as confirmation. On Wednesday, I emailed a friend of mine from NY that I had met down here at the library one day when I was slizzit, and we discussed religion and god and such. Well, I had forwarded her a religious based message that I received from someone else and she happened to be online when I did so. She emailed me back and said that she had ben thinking about me and wanted to know if there was anything that she could ask god to do for me, becasue she wanted to pray for me. I wrote her back and asked her to pray that god would continue to reveal himself to me in my life.
What happened today was just an example of divine intervention, for god is very real in my life. I had never seen this man before a day in my life. I didnt tell this man that I beleived in god, or that I was looking for any spiritual guidence- he just came out and presneted himself and his message.
Did you know that we as humans are prone to entertain angelic hosts?
When I got to class, I sat outside the door and ate both of my Micky deez specials (two hashbrowns & 2 susage biscuits w/ strawberry jelly). Afterward I walked inside the classroom and sat in the center of the class about three seats up from the front (I usually sit in the front seat of the class) and a human being of caucasian decent sat down next to me w/ a closed bible on his desk. The whole hour in the back of my mind I was thinking about asking dude to read his bible...After class I introduced myself and asked to read the 91st psalm...he said "oh I know that one.." and when I flipped the bible to that particualr chapter he had it highlighted and outlined with the words "army" written out next to the first three verses of scripture- he said that he was going to the army and said that he had personally memorized that passage of scripture, just in case he ever goes to battle.
Coincidence? Of course not. Just the prayers of saints being answered and manifested in the life of a youth ingulfed in a sinful world bobmarded with blatant lies and cunning decisiveness. A lie cannot stand alone my friend, but the truth is able to outlast any deceptiveness and can never be proved false. Thank you for you time reading this post.
