Cleen, if we go back and look to see if your claim of "Manny being easier to hit than Shane"...we have to look at a recent common opponent: Miguel Cotto.

Cotto landed 248 total punches on Mosley through 12 rounds

Cotto landed 172 total punches on Pacquiao through 11 full rounds + change

I'm not sure where you are getting this idea from, but Mosley's style of fighting and lack of footwork allows him to be hit just as often, in this case much more often, than Manny's in/out/lateral style.

yeah man, I agree morebass. Manny fights differently in almost all of his recent fights. Clottey, Cotto, Hatton and Oscar were all different strategies.

At the same time, Floyd showed us he's pretty versatile himself, as what he did against Mosley was a pre-planned strategy, one that was pretty surprising to see.

It's what makes this fight so interesting. So many different ways the fight could pan out.

Morebass, are you talking about the same Cotto who fought Shane or the one that was damaged goods after being close to beaten to death by Margarito? Which one, because I truly believe the Cotto who fought Mosley would have beat Pacquiao... Two different fighters my friend.

I know Pacquiao will come ready to fight no doubt, but if you think because Mosely lost so bad to Mayweather that it will be more of the same in a fight against Pacquiao then you are way off base. They both will have different game plans, and who ever executes their game plan better will win. Mayweather is in a different class, and we all know that. Are you saying Manny is a boxer on the level of Mayweather? C'mon man.

Morebass hates on Mayweather and hopes he fails. When/if the Pacman/Mayweather fight happens, he's going to be disappointed in the outcome and he'll say something like "Mayweather should have beat him anyway because he's bigger" or he'll find some other lame excuse as to why Pacman got his ass whooped, instead of just admitting who the better boxer is.

Its easy to say that, and try to discredit Pacquiao's victory. But you, nor anyone else, can prove objectively that Cotto is a different fighter. Was he affected mentally by the loss? Of course its possible.

The fact is that he went on to beat Jennings (tune up), and a top 5 welterweight in Clottey after that, so it doesn't make a strong case for your argument.

I know Pacquiao will come ready to fight no doubt, but if you think because Mosely lost so bad to Mayweather that it will be more of the same in a fight against Pacquiao then you are way off base.
That's the thing. I think you are one of those who put way too much stock in Mosley's win over Margarito. He is at least 5 or 6 years past his best days, and it was pretty evident in his fight with Mayorga.

We don't all know that.

Hard to really tell since Mayweather, with the exception of Mosley, has not fought a truly elite fighter in 5 or 6 years...and NO, I do NOT consider Marquez an elite fighter in the WELTERWEIGHT division.

I haven't been owned (quit puttin' the 2 on the 10). I may have been wrong with predictions and what not but who hasn't?

It's only hard to take what I say or point out seriously, when you don't keep it 100!! Just be real with yourself.

It's funny how you get on other folks for discrediting Manny but you steady discrediting Mayweather....

^ What are you talking about discrediting. I'm stating the facts. He is the greatest talent of our generation, but more often than not throughout his career has refused to test himself against the very best.

Up until 135 he was a complete monster, I still think he is actually, but until he proves that by taking on the best challengers, he's going to get the scrutiny that comes along with it!

By the way, you have been owned multiple times in here, but your too damn hardheaded to notice, and keep babbling on.

It's all good if you "think" I've been owned multiple times then that's your opinion...

Well why we're stating "facts", Manny got his ass whooped so how could he be ranked pound for pound #1 in the world when we have a boxer that has won 41 consecutive fights?

Manny has been beating up the same folks Mayweather has "already" beat up, and you say Manny is number one pound for pound. So has Manny been taking on the best challengers? If so, then why did he duck Shane when Shane was calling him out? He fought Cotto (who was already beaten up and knocked out by Margarito, fought Ricky Hatton who was already beaten up and knocked out by Floyd, fought Clottey who was beaten by Cotto and Margarito).

Hmmmmm.... looks like you're getting owned!

Look man, floyd kinda screwed himself by retiring for 2 years. You cant come back, beat one legit guy and be #1 again. Especially considering during this time period Pacquiao fought and beat Clottey (top 5 WW), Cotto (top 5 WW, belt holder, borderline hall of famer), Hatton (140 The Ring Champ, hall of famer), Oscar (moving up from 135, hall of famer), Diaz (belt holder), Marquez (hall of famer), and Barrera (hall of famer).

It's about opposition and without a doubt, pacquiao's last 10 fights (add in Morales, another hall of famer) is SO MUCH BETTER than Floyds last 10 opponents. Not even close.

And you talk about Pac fighting someone coming off an L (which he did once recently in Clottey), Floyd fought Zab Judah coming off a Loss to Baldimor. So you can't have it both ways homie.

As usual, Captain 206 to the rescue.... How are Pac's opponents so much better than Floyd's when they (Pac and Floyd) fought 3 of the same opponents? And 2 of those common opponents were better when Floyd fought them.

This pound for pound argument will get put to rest if the fight Mayweather/Pacman fight happens.

After Mayweather whoops Pac's ass then what y'all gone say?

Until then, in my opinion Mayweather is the best pound for pound until someone beats him.

what would you do if floyd got ko'd? lmao I can't even imagine how hurt you would be. Your brain would completely malfunction and start rapidly calculating PPV buys while saying the word 'hater' over and over again lol. Then you would immediately say the doping agency didn't work because they don't test for A-Side Meth
