ok after driving around most of today and playing the shit out of these 2 albums i have come to the conclusion that i really don't mind the barebones beats... because it really showcases 40's rapping, and in terms of rapping i think this is some of the best work he's done in years

also, i love "back in business" - really takes it back to the beginning, feels like something from 92

I consider the albums a double cd but cuz of album sales being so shitty he's selling them separately. I can't think of the last bay album that I liked as much as the day shift.

Both albums slap harder than anything else out right now. We all seem to agree 40's a beast on the mic for both albums, but I'm surprised so many people on here don't like the beats. Droop-E, Rick Rock, and whoever else produced these tracks are on fire. These electro beats are progressively changing thru the entire songs, they're not just loops. Maybe yall are listening on your computers? Cuz they knock HARD AS FUCK on the subs in my car.

I'm definitely gonna be coppin both albums this Tuesday.

The Weedman is far and away the best beat on both discs. Like, its not even a competition.
Damn man, are you serious? I have that song, and I like the beat and all, but if that's the best beat on the whole album, I don't think I'll like this album very much, because that beat isn't really all that great, to me anyway.

Fuck it, I'll still buy the album.
