He probably doesn't want to disrepsect Ortiz by calling it a tune up bout. Ortiz is the WBC Champ and Floyd is going after that belt. If he wins, will Pacquiao call Floyd out? Floyd is doing the right thing by going after that title. If he beats Ortiz and wins the belt, guess who's next?
Floyd will still hold the upperhand because if he wins he'll still be the undefeated one.
Pacquiao is too busy fighting washed up opponents to be worried about Floyd.

no part of? You realize ortiz was pacquiao's sparring partner and pac made him take a knee (and that was when pac was only at 135 and Ortiz was a junior welterweight). Ortiz had a great win against berto and all but it's not ancient history that he got his butt kicked by Maidana. Ok, this is a tune up fight for Floyd, we can dress it up all fancy and call it something else if we please but this should be easy for floyd. And that's fine by me as long as he fights Pacquiao in 2012.

I told you guys that Mayweather was fighting Ortiz this summer. Manny take the test and you will be next. Ortiz is going to bring the fight to Mayweather and he's a lefty. Smart fight for Mayweather, he's getting ready to fight Manny, and a good fight for Ortiz experience and a good payday. I guess Manny will be fighting Ortiz after Mayweather next year then too. LOL..
