see i thought it was a decent fight. condit's game plan was a good one but those judges though. thats what fucked it up for me. you shouldnt win off checked leg kicks especially when the other fighter is controlling the octagon. 4th round was what i thought condit was trying to pull off the entire fight and it was good but he only pulled it off in one round. he may have won 3 but i still give that round to diaz for control and landing the more effective punches. i mean shogun had more and better leg kicks in his fight with Hendo but hendo had the more effective striking and got the victory for it, i dont see how it was different in this case. this is way more controversial then the BJ Penn/Edgar fight and they got an instant rematch so he better atleast throw the offer out there for one with this fight. shit dana was even gonna let Chael get an instant rematch and he got finished, i dont give a fuck what happened the 1st 4 round he tapped and that instant rematch was in complete disrespect of a major part of MMA.

sorry for the rant i'm just so pissed abut this fight.

Who wants to bet there's a re-match? GSP won't be ready for another 7 months and even tho Condit says he wants to wait for GSP the amount of fans and fighters pissed off by this outcome is pretty big. UFC will make it happen. Up to Nick to change his game plan if he gets the re-match tho.

The octagon is NOT a boxing ring and using your footwork to cut someone off is not the easiest thing to do in a cage. Nick needs to turn it into a street fight next time and a find to pin CC against the cage. Unfortunately when CC got close to the cage he just ran away. Literally.

I had it 3-2 for Diaz.

Sure, Condit had a good gameplan in not getting into a toe to toe battle, but Diaz controlled the tempo of the fight and pushed the action. Sorry, but those wimpy leg kicks had 0 effect and the only reason he was able to land them is because Nick was having to chase him around everywhere.

I like Condit, but he honestly lost a fan. I hate the safety first, "let's win a decision" approach, and it totally goes against why I think most people gravitate towards MMA: To see explosions.

MMA judging is tough, just because there is so much to account for, but they really need to get people who are more familiar with the intricacies of the fight game, and not some 60 year old who is learning on the fly.

Champions win at all cost, regardless of what people think. Win today impress tomorrow.

Though I understand this point of view, speaking as a fan, who pays hard earned money to be entertained...the fight was a letdown. Again, great strategy to get the win, but as a fan, don't felt like I got my money's worth.

I get the idea that the fighter's only concern is the outcome, though.

Love how y'all take the same 5 gifs in Diaz favor and replay them. U never show the hella times that condit whooped on Diaz. Bottom line, Diaz fans are gonna SAY, that condit ran. When asked wut they woulda told condit to do they have no answer. Y'all can put up the 10 or so fighters that thought Diaz won, but how do u kno they weren't Diaz fans from the get? I kno some of those on the list have trained wit Diaz. Those fighters are prolly the bj penns, and cyborgs, and Paul daleys of the sport. How do u not kno that? I wanna see wit bj penn, Paul Daley, or cyborg thought bout that fight. Those are the ONLY fighters that matter to me. Funny that 90% of the ppl it rain wit or that train somewhere period, that I kno, think condit had the right gameplan. So fucc that list. For all I kno those fighters are Diaz fans OR FRIENDS. Like brown said above, Diaz needs to push the pace next time. IF there is a rematch. Don't even kno if he would want one (Diaz). He's been EXPOSED. He even knows this. Prolly why he "retired" right after. That's how he finishes. He presses u against the cage, punches in bunches. Joe Rogans been documented sayin it. I've told ppl for the longest. Watching older Diaz fights when he has someone pressed against the cage, first thought is, "circle out the fuccin cage"!!! By that time is too late. Combo of body shots and head shots and soft punches, and hard punches, take a toll on u. Take a lot out of u. And add to that his tri athlete cardio. Ur gone. So condit did PERFECT. Mofos complaining bout him not finishing. When was the las time Diaz been finished. I'm sure if Diaz was an easy target, one of those hooks coulda hardy'd him. I'm sure one of those flying knees coulda cub swansoned (ala Jose Aldo) him. At the end of the day Diaz fans found a glimpse of a fraction of an argument to ride with. But still can't say wut they woulda told condit to do different.

^^^why dont you check any fighter blog or news website and see what they say and they're completely unbiased. and i was more of a condit fan then i was diaz going into the fight and i said he could win. stick and move is the absolute best strategy against a guy like nick but when did he stick? a little in the 3rd possibly enough to win it and he whooped him in the 4th since he was throwing great combos that were connecting. but nick pushed the pace in rounds 1 and 2 and landed the more convincing shots and most the leg kicks thrown were checked. then you have the 5th where he got the big take down and ended the round in a dominant position and they even gave condit that round.

like i said condit put up a great fight and showed alot of blueprints to how to beat that crazy pressure that nick puts on people. but he wasnt connecting his punches at all and he was landing kicks with no power and they were being checked with ease. this fight descision was more controversial then the edgar/penn & shogun/machida fights and they got instant rematches. if this dont get one then it shows dana is a hypocrite and wont do shit for people he dislikes in the sport even if they deserve it.

Bas Rutten said Condit won so that makes everybody elses opinion irrelevant.
