Glad u brought that up Mr Peete, I swore in the first round Silva was gonna take a dive. He left his hands down and stood there allowing Sonnen to hit him with his hardest punches. I don't what to say but Sonnen is a Damn good wrestler and its amazing how Silva capitalized so quickly off a mistake and finished him off.
I dont know if Silva had a rope a dope plan or whatever from the start....but I do know that after that match he Bowed all the way down to Sonnen to show him respect. Silvas a smart fighter. I knew he just needed an opportunity off his back to wrap it up.I just didnt want it to be after 4 rounds of getting bitch slapped in the face lol.
Plus Sonnen eyebrow was fucked up....Silva had some swelling but that was about it. Silva was taking alot of that shit like it was nothing but did some damage at the same time even after Sonnen was slamming him on the ground and shit (which was fun to watch)

I give chael props cause he made Anderson fight, but am I the only one that thinks things looked a little weird out there? Anderson was wild, hands low and was getting dropped by everything. I've seen him eat tons of shots and keep coming forward. It looked for awhile as if he was just letting Chael win and then decided in the last round to say "ok, enough of this" and choke/arm bar his ass. Anderson said in the post fight conference that out of respect for the Nog bros he specifically wanted to end the fight with a sub.

The difference in tollerance between the two is common knowledge IMO for anyone who follows the sport. If [I knew] it was an armbar, I obviously wouldn't have said "I'm going to sleep". The problem is, what I saw, and what pretty much everyone else saw, was a triangle choke that ended it. I could be wrong because I was focused in around Sonnen's head but if anyone has any video footage I'd love to see it again. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just going off what I saw and what the reports are saying.
i think anderson really turned it up round 4. i dnt agree he was just counting on winning in the 5th round cuz that shit barely happened lol. if he did just "let" sonnen win the whole time he was running a huge risk that almost didnt pay off. not to mention anderson was rocked in the 5th as well. i think anderson banked on chael tiring out, which it looked as if he did. props to both guys for a very exciting fight and for chael putting on a great performance.
cant really agree with this either because to start round 2 anderson threw that jump kick and sonnen caught it and took him down. if anderson couldve gotten up, he would have. he got rocked nearly right out of the gate and i think it threw his confidence off a little and then in round 4 he was banking on chael being tired and really turned it up. just my view though, deff dnt think he was taking a dive
What the fuck is the deal with silva. Why take so many hits, choose not to defend any takedowns til the fuckin 5th round. Was he jus trying to prove a point that ufc aint got no one to fight him? I dont know what yall saw but i saw either a man tired of his chosen profession or he jus dont care no more after dana talked all that shit last fight
This. I didn't see what other people saw. I saw a man who just stood there and took shots, pretending to get rocked and let his opponent take him down. You guys really think Chael rocked Anderson? Yeah fucking right. Go watch his previous fights(especially his fight with jorge rivera) or some of his sparring sessions with big Nog where nog is teeing off on Anderson who has no head gear on and he's not even phased. Dude has a granite chin. When was the last time you saw Anderson as sloppy and reckless in the stand up? Never. I think Anderson is just bored with MMA or something.
