Hmmm. Once again you prove your ignorance. Christianity never forces any one to follow it. It is a religion of choice. You choose to follow it. I did, you didn't.
didn't you just say you studied religion and its history? you must not have to make a dumbass statement like that

Once again you prove your ignorance. I said Christianity never forces itself upon others. 'Christians' on their 'missions' from god are not the same thing.

LOL!!!!!!!! what is the difference? christianity is all about "spreading the word," whether it be through violence (bombings, CRUSADES, and other BS), or door to door shit

I think the point shep is trying to make is that in the world of Christianity, if you don't believe what they believe YOU ARE GOING TO HELL. You can choose either way, but if you choose the "wrong" way then you are fucked. If you can't see that, YOU are the ignorant one!

The difference is one is a concept the other is a person that follows an idea. Christianity is a religion it can't do anything. Christians are people that are able to mold and cookie cut the bible and other scriptures to suit their particular needs. The commandments tell us not to kill, I wonder how people can possibly think that you can spread God's word by contradictiong it. The ends don't justify the means.

you're right, christianity is just a concept... but it needs something concrete for it to exist, ie people

yup. and it depends on how these people use the concept. some alter it to justify their actions, much like the kkk, others don't.

but the whole purpose of christianity is to convert, whether they convertees like it or not. they don't give non-christians a choice

the purpose of christianity is to save ones soul. if there was another way to save your soul I don't know of it.
(Now the path of life is this -- first, thou shalt love the God who made thee, thy neighbour as thyself, and all things that thou wouldest not should be done unto thee, do not thou unto another)
Basically it's saying be good and you'll make it. At best Atheist might end up in purgatory and purge yourself of their sins, if they're 'good.'

Fuck, how many times do I have to defeat this kind of logic?

What if your wrong? What if you worshipped the wrong god? There have been thousands of other religions, many if not most have their own versions of "hell."

But the Christian belief is the "TRUTH" I thought you knew 2-0. There's no proof, but that's just the way it is! lol...

You haven't defeated this type of logic. Ever. I know that my God is the correct one. All you can give me are 'what if's.' Unless you can give me a scientific 'there is no God, here is proof' I'll continue to believe.

Where Miggidy? Where are these prophecies? Please link me because I must have missed it. And it better not be some bullshit that says, "This came true in blah blah blah", I want the actual word for word prophecies. Are the posted?
Shit its late but here are some:

The Messiah’s hands and feet would be pierced

Psalm 22:16
“For dogs have surrounded Me;
The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me.
They pierced My hands and My feet;”

Note: Now you’re going to say that no one witnessed Jesus crucifixion but how did King David have any foreknowledge of Roman crucifixions?
This is not the only prophecy regarding Jesus' crucifixion.
The point I'm tryin to ake here is that crucifixions were prophecised in the Torah hundreds of years before they came to be.

The Messiah will be killed

Daniel 9: 26
“And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.”

Note: Look into the actual Hebrew text if you’re questioning
our interpretation of the words, “cut off”.

If you read the rest of the passage you will see that it says Jerusalem will be destroyed along with the sanctuary following the death of the Messiah.
And it is exactly what happened as recorded in Matthew 27: 50-51

“The Messiah would be rejected.”

Isaiah 53:3
“He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.”

Note: It has been recorded with in the New Testament that the Messiah was despised.
And Jews today acknowledge this….
Not only do they believe that he actually existed (Jews of today), but his life and crucifixion has been recorded by Jewish historians of His time….

The Messiah would die for the sins of mankind

Isaiah 53:8
“He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.”

Note: This is another passage pointing out that the Messiah would be killed.
This one adds the fact that he has died for the sins of His people.
There are more prophecies foretelling the execution of the Messiah but this is good enough…

Tomorrow I'll add some prophecies regarding the coming of the Messiah.
All of these passages can be verified through the Dead Sea scrolls cuz most of them are written in there. And they have been dated back to hundreds of years before the coming of the Messiah.
Here's a bit of info on the Dead Sea Scrolls:
http://education.yahoo.com/reference/encyclopedia/entry?id=13015

2-0 I can't never cover the thousands of prophecies in both the Torah and the N. T.
so I'll just be pointing out the more significant ones, a day at a time....
