i dont mind paying for a custom box, i was gonna pay 250 which is what the shop said they would charge me, its a chrysler 300 and since those cars are kinda big i was guessing the trunk would be big enough. but thanx for ur help, i just wanted to see if i could get a quick answer cause for some reason i think those fools were kinda lying since it was almost time for them to go home when i got there and they gave me a cheap price since they normaly go from like 300 to 350 for one. They might've just changed their mind after they seen how hard it would be for 250.

for 250, theyll build u something cheap, and probably just a random regular box. I remember before i got into box buildin i went to get a quote on my trunk and box, they wanted 350 for a regular box, i said fuck that and built one myself for only 70.

To be honest with u, ur car doesnt even need 2 15's to be loud. U got a small trunk so throw any type of bass in it and its gonna sound loud. If i were u id exchange them for 2 12's, probably some kicker L7's, 2 12's L7's will sound the same as 2 15' T1's. It all depends on what amp running too. I got 2 15's in a big ass trunk so my shit sounds like 2 fat bitches fittin over a bag or cheetos, in a ported box, and that shit rattles like no other. Its gotten to the point where my trunk doesnt close all the way and i have a hard time openin my trunk.

yeah, everyone told me I fucked up in getting 15's and the only reason i did it is because they ran out of 12's so they told me they would give me the 15's for the same price. My ignorant ass didnt know the suggested retail price is the same and can both lift the same amount of watts. My amp is an arc audio 2500 wats, so far i havent had any problems with pushing my old twelves with it.

^^^Get a distribution block too split your power wire into two wires. basicly my old setup had 4Gauge wire running into a distribution block which broke off into two 4gauge wires to the amps. one input and 2 outputs.

I have a big ass distribution block that I have already ran 1/0ga. power to and grounded with 1/0ga. and it has 6 outputs.

What gauge should I run for my speakers?

anywhere i can look on how to hook up a cd deck to a 93 regal? only the power wire is behind the stock deck. from what i heard , regals had stock amps in them... but either way... where are the speaker wires

sharper image has both, i work there we got 4 different radars and like 5 GPS's.. tom tom, magellan, garmin nuvi, cheapest one is 300.00 which is the tom tom.

i just copped a 1500 watt 2 channel MTX amp for 40.00 problem was 5 blown caps, i replaced them and a 1k 2w resistor, still doesnt power on, replaced the fuse, might need to replace the other 2 even tho they dont look blown. If that doesnt help im gonna have to trace everything with the power hooked up until i hit a certain spot that no power is coming in on the circuit board.

Hey discuss...I got a Sony Xplode amp...won't work for shit. Powers on, but won't actually put out any power. No one where I'm at fixes shit like this...how much you charge to fix this?

I don't think it's anything serious...worked fine for a while when I was young and thought Sony was 'cool'...then got into Kicker, and tossed this in the closet...took it out, hooked it up, found out it didn't work, and tossed it back in the closet.

could be a transistor thats bad. dont know youd need to go in there with a voltage meter and see whats not drawing any power. But i dont charge anything unless i gotta buy parts to replace, if its something simple its free.

Also...I've asked before, but I'll ask again: the 'coils' (?) that connect the speaker to the terminals...on 2 Infinity 12'' subs that I have are ripped. Are these dead, now? Or can they be fixed...?

coils? the part inside the cone. I dont have a subwoofer to look at, if you could show me a pic i might be able to tell you if its fixable or not.

The part that goes from the terminal (Where you connect your speaker wire to) and the cone...the little coil that connects the two.

If you're willing to check the amp out, I could send it, and pay for you to send it back. I'm not worried about a timeframe; the closet won't miss it.

anyone know anything about car alarms?
My cars been broken into and stolen too many times so i am going to go all out on a alarm system. Whats the best one out right now? What about those ones that notify you when the alarm goes off?

Yeah...these are dual voice coil Infinity References...and today, I hooked 'em up, but instead of using both sets of terminals...I only used one. It works great with only one sub hooked up, but when I do both, I can only get so much bass, before it cuts off for about 1/2 a second, and the amp's 'clip' light flashes, then goes to 'pretect', before turning back on.

what kinda amp is pushing it? sounds like the amp might not be able to handle it. As for that coil, its just this shielded copper stuff. You can use this stuff called WICK.

if you got a frys electronics near you they should have some, or find some electronics store that sells like capacitors, speaker cable, transformers and all that shit.
