^ Good point, I forgot to mention that as well.
Forgot to mention what? Our defense wasn't on the field all that long. It only took two plays for Minnesota to score their first TD. Our defense is soft as they've ever been! And we kept biting on their trick plays. How does Tarvaris Jackson complete over 70% of his passes? WTF?

If you're conclusion is that the Raiders D has no heart soley because of the last game, than I don't know what to tell you. The defense is not what I'm worried about, aside from the weak run stop. Plus, Minnesota has one of the best O-line's in the league, and C. Taylor is no "backup". You take the biggest weakness of the defense, exploit it like the Vikings did, and you win football games. I won't say that the Raiders have no heart on defense though, they simply have a weakness that needs improvement.

really I don't care who's coaching, as long as whoever it is STAYS THERE! changing systems every year or two is not gonna turn a franchise around. what we need is a deep threat and linemen. I still think we need to acquire a proven o-lineman thru free agency, one that is not out of his prime, so that he can have the rest of the line look up to him. I also think gallery needs to be kicked in the head or cut, that bastard needs to get it together and stop making stupid ass mistakes, I mean most of the line does also, but its hella bad when you know your linemans number because of all the false start calls he gets each game. I think we need a good OC also. and time, next year is not gonna be some fantastic season (although I'm still hoping for one), Russell is gonna still be getting used to the nfl. look at the titans, vince young is a great qb and has pretty much exceeded expectations in his first 2 seasons, but titan fans knew they weren't bowl bound this year. I'm hoping that Russell comes out playing as good as Young or Rothlisberger (the wins, not the bowl....although that would be nice) did their first couple seasons

i didnt watch the game so im assuming what ive seen from the games i HAVE watched this year...all i know is that MOST people picked the raiders to be the top to top 3 draft picks this year and EVERYONE else except raider fans would have agreed.....lane kiffen....or not......raiders are in a REBUILDING era.....it sucks as a fan....this i should know (before going 8-8 last year the titans were bad even HORRIBLE)......but blaming it on one person/the coach/the owner gets you no where....sooner or later the raiders will contend again......but YOU should of known what this year was going to be like.........EVERYONE TOLD YOU

exactly. Tony don't forget that Taylor was their starting qb this year and was going to be for the whole season, except Peterson is a fucking beast.

I'm a fan, and I certainly realize this and have realized this all along. I completely agree with what you wrote here...

LOL

I couldn't agree ''moore''...

Everyone (including myself) wants to win, win, win, now, now, now...but you also have to be realistic, and understand that unless Jesus Christ himself were to be owner and GM this year for the Raiders, they are rebuilding. You don't go from one of the worst teams in the history of the NFL (last year) to AFC West champs and serious contenders without time...I'm sorry, but it's just not done.

No not just because of the last game... but because every running back we've faced ran through us except for Benson. Ron Dayne, Ronnie Brown, L.J., L.T., Taylor, have had very good games against our defense. We have no heart on defense! We let back up qb's and running backs serve us.

We need to be worried about or defense... that's our biggest dissapointment.

No heart is the worst critique a team could ever get IMO, and you're rediculous to say that about Oakland, especially this year; last year I wouldn't have argued. Like I said about the weakness they have, STOPPING THE RUN. Teams realize this and exploit it, which is why the Raiders get dominated. This is a void that must be filled, but the rest of the D is at about where it needs to be.

It's the offense that needs to get better, but the lines on both sides are what matters most. You win football games in the trenches...

It's the truth... we're playing with no heart as a defense.

LOL, yeah. I always hope for great things, like the Raiders winning and Tom Brady dying, but I do realize reality.
I just had to give a big LOL to both of those statements.

I don't think so at all. scoring is our problem, we can't do it. if our offense steps up our defense will follow suit. its pretty much the same top ranked defense from last year, they're just not playing as well.

You can't be serious Defy... our defense is terrible. The offense is alright and better than last years but our defense is what's costing us games. Yeah scoring is our problem because we can't stop other teams from scoring.
