being a memeber of the homeland defense department, i can tell you that is not true, at least not how you have it worded. military in certain situations, coud kill civilians if they wanted to. things are changing with the high threat of terrorism, and members of the homeland defense dept. will have to be more vigilant at all times, it will be shaky at first. i can already see alot of people either a) trying to sue the government for harrassment and B) civilians hating the homeland security dept.

Don't ya stop to think the media is already owned by the profiteers at the top, who can shape your knowledge, your perceptions and your opinions with well placed lies, spin stories, and shade? Don't you see how nothing you read isn't affected by the reporters' opinions or the political or financial agenda of the media companies that employ them? Don't you wonder about what is surpressed in the news for challenging the power of the media owners? Damn, guys. Your Sunday school teachers don't own CNN! Corporations that stand to make money off of social hysteria or scandalous lies run shit? Don't base your opinions on the real world on the shit you see on TV, cuz it ain't barely ever the whole truth! If someone is trying to tell you something to get you to go to war for them, consider what they stand to gain from you by lying to you and getting you to spend your money or fight their battles. Everything you think you know comes from ppl who already know that if they report good things or bad things about a situation, it will cause stock prices to rise or fall. Don't be their puppet. There's just too much controversy about who the fuck is telling the truth about these situations, and too many ppl have something to gain by lying to you.

I don't know anything about the homeland defense department. I am curious to know how your department feels about what Ollie North's crew purposely did to California's poor, financing illegal wars by poisoning and imprisoning us behind drugs when legal health care and pain management were only available to a lucky few. Is that kind of population control still part of the military's role? Who are you defending?
as far as i know, no. i have an allegance to this country and i swore under God's name by it for the next two years. but there things called unlawful orders, if you feel any order is unlawful, you don't have to carry it out. i suppose if they person ordering you is crazy, it may cost you your life. but there is no way my supervisor could get me to kill an innocent child or some shit or harm a bunch of innocent people as population control. that is not my job. maybe the higher powers have a plan for something that you speak of, but on my level, i have heard nothing as rediculous as what you are claiming. if i knew about it at my level tho, it would be on the news already
Thanks, bro. I couldn't imagine you'd have been on Ollie's side and not have it fukk with your religion. I couldn't imagine what I'd do in that situation, but I feel like today's military really should see reparations as part of their homeland defense agenda, and keeping shit stable for the rest of us who are surviving in the ruins of the previous unchecked regime. It sounds like you're a good man from a bad situation, like Woodie and the other Northern Expozure guys.
I had another military friend who was trying to explain that in Vietnam sometimes little children had bombs strapped to them when the were sent running toward other people, and the kid would have to be shot down before getting close to others. My friend was saying tht no matter what, he was trained to just follow orders even if it looked wrong at the time. God knows how I have fukked up by thinking I was doing the right thing when I wasn't. I sometimes just have to trust on faith that those with more or better information than me might sometimes look like they are wrong when it turns out they are more right cuz of information I don't have. It breaks my heart, but it seems like sometimes you have to do bad things to protect against worse, and now I don't see how I couldn't not understand.
