^^^We learned about this in a class of mine.

People dont understand (parkboyz) that you have to view all people as fellow human beings not as black or white. Until this is done racism will always prevail.

yes, this is the message people need to understand nowadays, the seperation must stop, we are all human.

not to be racist, it just seems that blacks use slavery as a way to make us feel sorry for them. that is my view, learn from it. here is what formulates that view for me. standards in school and other things have lowered to not look racist, being that more blacks could attend. there are black scholarships, but when a white scholarship was made, it was looked at as racist. now the thing that annoys me the most about this is, i didnt own any slaves, i have never put a black man into the ghetto. but im blamed for this in a sense because im another "white devil" that doesnt wanna see blacks succeed also, you were never enslaved.

I understand that, I didn't enslave anyone either, but still I respect those that had to suffer because of it regardless of who did it.

also, if it is just as much to blame on lighter skinned black people, then its pretty much everyone in this thread arguing on the blacks side that is also oppressing the hella dark black african lookin guys. so you are all just as at fault for slavery, you just dont wanna blame yourselfs

^^^^whatever that means. and from what RobS4 said, racism doesnt come from people talking about color and how people are black and white. there are black people! there are white people! we may be different! its not how we look, because there is no way to be "colorblind"! its how we judge people that is part of racism, not just creating a fantasy "colorblind" world.

^ sometimes you seem so oblivious, dude just said that light skinned blacks were in cahoots with whites, helping them nab up some hella dark africans to be enslaved. and if you look at history, these blacks that were brought to be slaves were mostly slaves to rival tribes. the dutch i believe it was, traded ammo and weapons for these captured blacks, and brought them to america. i love how in my school when they were showing roots, some black kids got pissed because they believe that americans headed over to africa and went "nigger hunting" as they called it. once they seen their own people were selling them out, they yelled and left the room

If you had your own Tribe, and some People you've never seen who looked like Ghosts to you gave you a choice to sell your own people out, die or be a slave, I bet you'd sell your people out too. Whose to say everyone is of good moral stature? Stop acting like a Red Bird.

Same thing can be said for the indigenous Mexicans, the Native Americans, The Asians, etc.

lmao at your lack of knowledge. blacks sold other blacks to whites and the whites made them slaves. fuck, your great great grandpas brother could have sold him to be a slave. now your saying this isnt any black mans fault? they sold their own people for weapons and food. am i racist as you say? id prolly say i am, but its only due to hearing about grills and rims all day, then having to hear about how im trying to keep blacks down just cause im white, lol. yall talk about how its cause of media and what not. well name a rapper on tv that doesnt play into it? you cant, cause like blacks sold each other for weapons and food in africa, blacks of today are putting out an image on tv that is damaging "their people" in every way possible, and for what? a bently and some fame. all i see through history is blacks selling each other out then calling the people they sold out "their people". then the white man gets blamed. lol. this shit cracks me up.

A little about the residential segregtion blacks faced in the 50's, which still has broad effects on the black community now, in that while other races (mainly ethnic white Americans -Irish, Italians, Polish, etc.) were allowed to buy homes and build equity, blacks were pushed into project housing intended for them and forced to stay in low income neighborhoods. Blacks are still the most segregated race in America today.

Returning World War II veterans spurred a population and housing boom driven in part by benefits from the GI bill. The economic demands of the post-war boom and the burgeoning Civil Rights movement led to conflicts over discrimination in housing, jobs and education. The Federal Housing Administration, which instituted policies that reinforced patterns of segregation, routinely denied low-interest loans to non-whites. The experience of fighting for freedom in Europe and then returning to a country where discrimination and opportunities were limited fostered discontent for returning black GIs. The legacy of post-war economic discrimination contributed to the wealth gap between whites and non-whites that we see today. One of the most important factors that contributed to the wealth gap was the federal housing policy. This policy endorsed redlining and discrimination in sales, financing and homeowners insurance, is reflected in the unequal rates of home ownership even today.
In the U.S., blacks, Mexicans, Chinese and Japanese immigrants were targets of discrimination in employment and property ownership. African Americans lost their homes through foreclosures during the 1930s and 40s, many of them victims of fraud and deception. In the South, many blacks were victims of exploitative tenant-sharecropper systems that kept them in perpetual debt. Since Chinese Americans were effectively denied citizenship until the 1950s, their access to jobs was limited, and they were prohibited by law from owning property. Although Japanese Americans were able to buy property, much of their wealth was confiscated during World War II when they were forced into internment camps. For Mexican Americans, opportunities for employment were largely limited to guest worker programs. The bracero program, which began in 1942 and officially ended in 1964, allowed them temporary entry into the U.S. as migrant workers in farms throughout California and the Southwest.

its called the ghetto smart ass. Why don't you read a book before trying to say all kind of dumb shit? Here's one, American Apartheid: Segregation and the making of the Underclass by Douglas Massey, and Nancy Denton. The studies will show you that many blacks live under what we call hypersegregation. And Native Americans aren't included because the majority of them don't live in cities with other races, blacks on the other hand do, but they are segregated from the rest of the population greater than any other race who lives in multiethnic neighborhoods, cities.

^ lol, u said it yourself that natives dont even live in the citys, we put the reservations way the fuck out there. once a black man gets put way out of the city like that, he can be named the most segregated. and natives were here before white and still get all that shit, yet natives treat me with the outmost respect, and never jock my nuts about how i hold them down and am racist.
