If you are original and believe in yourself, you'll come up with something different to rap about. If people like, people will buy. There's a million and one things to rap about and only five or six of those things are being touched.
Being different is what makes the world a beautiful place.

Dion aka Mr. Peete... wanna Rate my music? =)
Nah. Cause that's not what this thread was about. I'm likin the dialogue between Tim and TACT OUT MUZIC. That's what this thread is about. Not about whether Dion doesn't like NHs album cover. Some of y'all missed the point COMPLETELY and probably will never get it.

Czar - If you have the ability to articulate your points without usin the words 'hatin' or 'hater' then you're more likely to be taken seriously. Nobody is hatin on you cause "Nobody Cares" that you're rappin. You just killed me the way you switched up. That was some square shit (and that's pretty bad comin from me). Do yo thang tho. Oh yeah, you don't wanna see 'THE BUS'.

SavageC - You missed the point dawg. I don't care about your cover. I won't even try to explain it to you cause you're obviously in the "wow someone is hating on me, I feel important" mode. As long as I was able to reach a couple of cats on here, I feel good. They felt my point. It was nothing personal towards you cause I don't even know you. You just (unfortunately), were on the business end of my example.

MistaCane - I feel you, you supportin ya folks. I'll just leave it at that... But c'mon man, ya boy had a Le Tigre shirt on. Some of y'all gotta find that funny.

On the contrary, business is not synonymous with politeness. Business is cut-throat. You gotta thicken your skin Savage C. There are mufuckas out there in this 'business' that come across alot worse than I ever will. If you can't take a cats comments on a message board, then that A&R will eat you alive. I keep saying A&R cause with the way some of you cats respond to criticism, that's as far as you'll make it.

LOL, About the shirt, I was J O K I N G. Every heard of a joke? Quit bein so damn sensitive

Nah dawg, I aint laggin. I'm progressin (trust me). I don't see the similarities to Death Row that you speakin of. The last thing that got put out there with my name on it was the DDF album. I'm VERY proud of those tracks.

I can't believe that people think that selling a couple thousand cds is a success or a goal to be met. How many units did that one Esham cd sell independently? That's a success. That one Daz cd sold almost 100k independently. I mean Selling 40,000 on the indy tip is something to be proud of not some 2k out the trunk shit. You can make that kinda money working a 9-5 @ mcdonalds for a year. Honestly I'd rather do that then try & hustle a cd for months with barely any profit.

Lol man i try so hard to stay away from this shit, but ignorance grabs my attention. Tadou: Your like 17 you aint never dropped anything except a home made song, i dont text style mc's better yet WANNA BE' mc's but don't step up in this topic, you know nothing except shit you read in books. Get some real experience in this game before you run your mouth like your' dion's boy lol please. D-Style: The difference is you would be workin at mickey d's and who the fuck are you to say or criticize what another man's goals are anyhow? If you had the talent to contribute to the making of a cd in any way shape or form perhaps you'd feel differently.

a couple thousand units is NOT a success....ITS A REALISTIC GOAL FOR COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT cats...... og ms makes a valid point above as well....ALMOST NOBODY on this board has sold any REAL units except JAY TEE who went gold or maybe platinum by now....but go ahead yall, pick on this one project.....its all good......but i know that HALF OF THOSE THAT RESPONDED TO THIS THREAD sayin that a couple thousand ain't shit have A) never put out a fuckin thing......B) sold that amount themselves.....

that's REAL

actually this day and age, if your virtually an unknown artist, label, or group, and you can sell 2000 cd's indipendantly, that is quite a success in this day and age..... people are not buying cd's like they used to, and it is very hard to hustle cd's on your own, unless you have no job or life, and even then its hard we got kids to feed and day jobs, cuzz rent is high..... and the reason i say its a success, is cuzz there alot of cats that press 1000 units, and still sittin on 500 units 12 months later..... and if you can sell 2000 units all by yourself, your possabilities of getting a distribution deal are greater on the next project, and its possible, if you do it right, you may move 4-5000 units next time, as long as every project you do, sells better then the last, you doin your job..... and depending on how much you spend to drop an album, you can make a good amount of money sellin 3-5000 units every album.... and live pretty nice....

obviously it would be nice to slang 10,000 units out the trunk, but someone please tell me who the last person was that did that, and how many decades ago that was??? i think mc hammer sold something like that in 1985 or somethin....

so of you tend to think its just so easy to put an album out and sell it.... even if you tite, your shit will sit on the shelf or in your moms garage collectin dust if you dont do everything perfect, and even then you aint guarenteed shit in this game!!!

i congradulate savage c, and mista cane on what they have done in the short amount of time they been around.... each project they have done, has gotten better in all aspects, from lyrics, to artwork, to promotion..... they dont ever rush some half fast shit out on the market to make some side cash, they enjoy makin muzic, and enjoy the hustle, they got heart, and if more artist new and old would have more heart, this game would improve..... but mafuccaz too worried bout what the next man doin, and how much money they "think" they can make..... "abusers of the game"

just speakin the real truth.....

Ahh man I'm cryin' over here. Mr.peete really hurt my feelings. I better watch out he might hurt my feelings again.
When I read criticism like this I would expect it from a legend or an artist that has been around for awhile not someone who's not even close to that. I know you used NH as an example, but come on man you're bringin' them down along with yourself for writin' like that. If NH wasn't any good I'd agree with you, but they are good. I don't know about you, but these guys are goin' somewhere. Clown on the cover all you want, but don't judge an album by its cover. Make some better music if you wanna talk.

The album in my sig is suppose to be a comedy album. With the name "Hardcore Jose" and using "cumming" instead of "coming" I thought most people would understand that. I wouldn't try putting out a serious album with thoughs names. Come man I thought you were smarter then that!
