You're right for the most part that CURRENTLY the actual music don't really mean too much (especially in hip hop) as far as sales go. I probably didn't get it across the way I wanted to, but what I wanted to say was that probably starting 2003, it's gonna be about some GOOD MUSIC because there's been enough of that candy ass bullshit for the last few years. It's time for a change and that will reflect in the sales. I'm hoping anyway...

Shit this is a long ass thread. I really don't have a point to make make, but I'll just talk. I just post a reply when I feel something is wrong. After reading all this it made me realize that this thread is bringing the bay rap down. Yes I had my opinions way earlier on this thread and everyone's entitled to their opinion. I forgot who said it, but now that I think about it, all opinions are appreaciated, even if you're an artist or not, but I'd rather hear an opinion from a non-artist. To tell you all the truth I am a big NH fan and a fan of the Pervelous P. Hey I'm white and from the burbs of 650 (so I guess I'm already a square to rap4rights) and I go to college that my parents pay for. I am a big fan of rap and I've heard a lotta different artists. I judge music too even though I'm not a rap aritst or a "thug." I think the best opinions come from the listeners who don't even know how to make it, but just listen to it and are amazed by the talent they hear cuz they can't do it themselves. Really almost all the posters on here are some sort of an artist. We should stop dissin' each other and try to come up together (easier said then done of course); we're all trying to get up in this game. Let the listeners do the dissin' cuz that's who were trying to get at right?
There are a lot of wack MC's out there that I've heard and when I see a new bay album coming out it's hard to tell if it'll be heat or not, but I know Mista Cane and NH bring some tite ass rhymes. NH doesn't rap gangsta shit! They rap where they come from and that's the "650 burbs." Like I said before I love rap music and after listening to these guys I finally have a some rappers I can relate to. Not all listeners are from the ghetto. Most rap listeners are from the burbs! Even though I said I wasn't making a point before; I guess I did. Much love!

Speakin on behalf of my potna, he got insulted and he blew up at this guy. That's just how he is, he's level headed until there's a form of disrespect (disrespect, not personal opinion).
I agree I also think that some real heartfelt music CAN come out in 2003, some artists are starting to come out of the darkness. However, I can be HIGHLY disappointed because I thought the same about 2002 and was let down.
To try and keep this post goin......how do you bay rap can be improved? Forget NH, talk on something else....
