I won't by an album full of features, I will support independent artists who have talent. I have bought albums from artists on this board like Syko, Game Insane and Mista Cane. Neither of those albums is flooded with features and the artists hold there own. If you put out an album flooded with guests and sell a few thousand, good for you but you won't get my respect or money until you put out a true solo album and do the same. I'm not going to buy an album just because you have an artist I like on a song. I'll just download it, I'm not paying $15 for one song. Also if I want to here songs buy a certain artist I'll buy his album, not an album just because he's featured on it. I wish ya'll success but your losing customers and possible future fans by filling your albums with guests. People are getting tired of compilations being passed off as solo albums. I don't buy albums to here a rappers friends (some are actually decent some aren't) I buy albums for the artists. Also it's okay to want to help your friends out but if they aren't amazing on the mic, keep them off the fuccing songs.

Some care some don't thats life thats why were in the united states people have free will to do and feel as they see fit. Mr. Peete is a solid producer and is entitled to his opinions obviously. It's just that on this one he lumped this one cd into the other crap pile as Nickpro said. This cd is solid, the camp is solid.

I didn't mean to get on one album like I did, but I am using it as an example. I'm not interested in how many units you've sold, my opinion would be the same if you went platinum (believe that). My problem is the lack of originality/creativity, same old albums that are really compilations trying to use popularity of others to sell, and the major lack of quality representing the bay area. THE BAY AREA. I don't give a shit about NY, ATL, LA, because I think rap has gone to shit right now. And that's becuase quality music isn't being made anymore in rap (except for a few). Don't churn out the same old shit just to make a buck....again unless thats what you're TRYING to do then I guess keep doing it, but remember you're representing the bay.
Also, SavageC, what is Devin the Dude gonna do for your album? Sell a few more....because it doesn't matter if Nas is on you're album, you're name ain't gonna bubble from the name (If you were on Nas's album that would be a totally different story.) What I'm tryin to say is what are you tryin to be in this game: just another or are you tryin to be different. Make an album with you two on there and produce quality music. That's the only thing you can be proud of, not Devin being tight on your shit, why don't YOU try to be tight on YOUR shit.

WOW! I haven't read another reply from mr.peete yet! I guess he has realized that he was wrong about everything. One point that I have to make is I've heard Nocturnal Hustlers and I've heard some shit produced by mr.peete. NH blows this guy outta the water. I can't believe this guy would say something like that when he doesn't even have his own music to back him up. Just watch out cuz NH and Pervelous P are comin' up!

I don't even expect for mufuckas to take the shit as serious as they do, that's why I said "but then again why should y'all care about me posting this shit, lol" in my original post, but yall didn't see that I guess. I kinda singled out that Nocturnal Hustlers album cause the cover was in my face at the time. It's nothing personal between me and Savage-C, cause I have no idea who he is. I was just using the album to make my point. I'm not on here trying to get everybody to be on my side. I'm for the advancement of this music. And if I gotta tell it like it is sometimes, then I gotta tell it like it is. If I was completely wrong by singling out that Nocturnal Hustlas album, well then I was wrong. BUT, my point was made. More often than not the way I broke down that album, is the way most of the albums around here are being made. If mufuckas wanna cry cause I used them as an example, well hey, I can't do nothin for ya. You gon cry when that A&R tells you that your music is not viable for today's market?
Yup, I'm cold. But so is the business. Somebody gotta bring the temperature down around here. Cause it's too many around here that think they got some hot shit, but it aint nothin (myself included).
And NO I don't think that I'm better than anybody and I don't think just because I did this, that I'm this or that or whatever. NO. So that defense is a crutch just being used to avoid the main issue. Get over it.
Mista Cane again - About the shirt thing, again, you missed my point. I know mufuckas that's just like me (people that buy this music) that would laugh they ass off when they seen dude in that shirt.
Like I said before, I was speaking from what I felt was the perspective of the consumers at this time. Cause I'm a consumer myself. BUT y'all didn't see when I said that tho....
