how do you know that can you go back and predict how he is gonna play every game to make that assumption?
from the games i've seen Kolb play this season versus Vick, yes i can make that assumption.
Ironlungs: I was responding to 707 cuz he brought up the mcnabb argument, but thats not a valid argument imo cuz mcnabb aint there no more.
If you wanna base it upon stats, then yeah Brady would get it, and thats why he will get it more than likely.
However, Phil and I are looking at it from a different standpoint as far as the progression.
To me MVP is much more than just stats. But just me. maybe thats why i aint the one voting for it lol!

I agree Kolb probably wouldn't be as good as Vick this year, but that's irrelevant

what backup QB is as good as the starter???

none... unless it's a team with shitty QB play and QB controversy (like SF for example)

and in terms of backup QBs, Kolb is probably one of the best in the NFL, that's why people are talking about other teams picking him up in the offseason

NO team would be as good if they were missing their starting QB... so based on that theory EVERY QB should be MVP

these arguments I'm reading are ridiculous

Its a different case also with Vick because he wasnt starting to begin with this season to begin with, Kolb was. Plus the nigga was out injured too
So since you feel these arguments you are reading are ridiculous, let me ask you, what defines an MVP to you in the NFL?

It's funny how noone answered my question as to how Brady would do if he played for Philly? The Patriots may not have made the playoffs with Cassell but they were 10-6 and most normal seasons that would get you in the playoffs.

It's funny how noone wants to acknowledge that Brady almost lost to a backup on Sunday and the Patriots offense could have sealed the game on there last possession but went 3 and out at home, not very mvp like. And what about last season since everyone wants to talk about good Philly has been the last 10 years, Welker gets injured and Brady doesn't do shit in there only playoff game. Without that O-line Brady ain't shit, Giants proved that in the Superbowl in 07-08 season

he still played one of the best defenses in the packers and kolb needs more then a couple games to gel with the team not like he has started a shitload of games and patriots are doing work without much of a running game eagles have a better RB and WR core and a better defense then what the pats do

lol Eagles have a better running game cuz Vick is running for his life half the time, no offense but ur biased on this discussion cuz u like the Cowboys. Brady has the better O-line and that's more important but folks be downplaying how good the wideouts are on the Patriots, Welker may go to pro bowl.

I think Brady would play great in Philly's offense... lol, wtf makes you think he wouldn't??

it's a great offensive system with some dangerous weapons... why wouldn't he do great?

the O-line isn't as good as it is in New England.. but he'd still play very well

McNabb did great in Philly for YEARS, and McNabb is not as good as Brady

and you know why Brady almost lost to a backup? THE PATS HAVE THE 28TH RANKED DEFENSE IN FUCKING NFL...

Green Bay has the number 7th ranked overall defense... and the number 3 ranked passing defense... but Brady managed a 110 QB rating against them

and yeah, the Pats played like shit in the playoffs last year... but Brady was not being considered an MVP last year... and you're talking about one game last year and trying to use that to define his season THIS year... that's dumb..

you think Vick would be as good as he is without Desean Jackon??? please....

it's funny how YOU won't acknowledge the fact that the Pats have one of the worst ranked defenses, (Philly is ranked 13... not great, but above average) yet they're one of the best teams... if not THE best team in the NFL... it's also funny YOU won't acknowledge that Brady is playing with scrubs and making them look great... he doesn't have a guy like Desean Jackson on his team

it's also funny how you won't acknowledge the fact that Brady has beaten almost all the BEST defenses in the league

I acknowledged your points... acknowledge mine

what other wiseouts are good on the Pats?

Deion Branch?? the guy who hasn't done shit since last time he was in New England playing with Brady... oh yeah... that guy, lmao

Brady has the best O-line in the league acknowledge that and no Brady wouldn't do good in Philly Mcnabb is hard to sack and more mobile was able a lot of the time to get himself out of trouble just like Vick and don't act like the Patriots defense didn't play good against the Steelers and Jets

Brady is not mobile, but he has the ability to get the ball out quickly

sure the Pats defense played good in those games... but that's because Brady was able to keep his defense off the field

but look at that stats... they're ranked 28th in the NFL, period

28th ranked defense in the NFL... no great offensive weapons besides Welker... yet they're 12-2, in the AFC, which is a better conference than the NFC btw

I agree man

it's not hard feelings or nothin... just a friendly debate

based on this thread it's obvious you can make an argument for either player, and they're both deserving IMO

if Vick wins it I'll be extremely happy for him

I will say I'm rooting for the Eagles in the playoffs, and I would love to see Vick get himself a ring this year (unless of course the Raiders than slide in there, then obviously I'm rooting for them)

Lol if brady had LeSean McCoy and Desean Jackson it would be a wrap for everyone son!! Play action all fucken day!!!! You saw what brady did when he had moss! it was rape mode on every DB in the league! Now imagine Brady, Jackson, McCoy and Maclin. Wow that would be fun to watch! And stop bringing up brady not being mobile. Incase you havent noticed he doesnt need to run 20 yards and risk getting hurt for the season. He has some of the best footwork ive ever seen in the pocket. And he can place a ball anywhere he wants to! weather it be a 40 yard bomb or a 10 yard slant. Bradys accuracy shits on vicks!

well since thats your formula, look at the best offense in the league. its philly's. so i guess that makes the leader of that league leading offense the mvp.

anyone who says the pats won without brady thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard in my life. yeah they did go 10-6 but they faced shit teams for those wins and still didnt even make the playoffs. and the eagles went to the playoffs without vick lastyear so why not make that assumption? cause of donovan? well matt cassell is having a better year that mcnabb is thats for sure. so what? people that make those stupid arguments on here should stop and think about how the eagles were doing without vick aswell. look i praise vick but seriously look at that talent he has around him, if the pats switched our guys with the eagles guys and kept the same QB's what do you think would happen? vick would be running for his every play cause he wouldnt have no1 to through to and he would have no RB's.
