pac did fight excellent but at the same time oscar physically looked bad, he appeared slow & lethargic, it wasn't just about punching power. And I think he's been past it for some time. I don't even give Hopkins my favorite fighter much credit for knocking him out because he was on the downside of his career even back then, I don't give floyd much credit either. Oscar was a part time fighter for a number of years but he was the golden cash cow. Hopkins, Floyd & Manny, that was their winning jackpot fight. I was happy for all of them to get that fight, it literally makes you a star.

As much as hate to say it Oscar would of whooped Manny if the fight happened 7 years ago. Oscar was a smart boxer and had speed and some power as well. I told my homies before the Oscar/Manny fight that Oscar looked sick and fragile.

I picked Oscar to beat Pacquiao.... that's the fight that taught me about how weight draining your opponent could/should/would work to your advantage. Oscar weighed in at 145 on fight night against Pacquiao.

Prime Oscar puts Prime Manny to sleep....

"weight draining your opponents"

lol tony it was oscar's idea to fight at 147. That was all oscar.

Oscar could have fought Margarito at 154, that's who everyone wanted oscar to fight but he wanted to pick on a very small guy so he certainly got what he deserved imo.

he had mentioned some things about Julio Cesar Chavez quitting in his fight and that how he would never quit, so it was ironic to see an older oscar on the stool quitting. now he knows how it feels.

Fighting Margarito for $9 million and resigning to Top Rank or fighting Oscar for $30 million and being your own boss. Sure Mayweather took a pay cut.

Mosley is going to win this fight.

that's not the time frame, bro. He fought oscar two fights later.

I'm not even trippin about that though. My thing with Floyd was when he "retired" WW was the hottest it had ever been in years. Like I said floyd goes on long vacations when big fights are in front of him. Floyd just fought oscar then hatton and was HOT. Those were big fights that made him into a mega star. Margarito & Cotto were extremely hot as well. The entire boxing community and even the causal fans wanted floyd to fight one of them. He retired and they fought eachother. Floyd could have fought winner as well but he still stayed retired.

I don't know if everyone will understand this, but it was more of a timing problem (not age) than a weight issue. Oscar would've been whooped badly if he came in at 155lbs that night with the way he fought.

The key to that fight was use his reach and size and set up everything behind his superior jab. Oscar has always fought his best when he's on his toes and uses his jab. He was fighting flat footed and was dragging his right (rear foot he was pushing off with) foot when trying to throw the right hand. He was out of position and being turned then beat to the punch all night. Being on weight wouldn't have changed this. His hand speed was actually pretty decent, hadn't really lost any hand speed since the Mayweather fight really. He just realized that as he was punching that he was gonna miss is what it looked like to me. I sincerely believe this wasn't a matter of weight, he would've lost with the way he fought no matter what. He wouldn't have been bouncing on his toes and throwing the jab and right hand better at 155lbs and comfortable. He was just outclassed

KAH707KALI-Manny fan are the ones that called Mosley shot after Mayweather beat his ass. You can't have it both ways if he was shot when Mayweather fought him, then surely a year later at 39 yrs old Mosley is still shot..

Every boxer has a rest period correct? So how can he exactly be shot? I am sure 1 fight didn't ruin his entire career up to the point he fights Manny.
