^ I've tried to get those $150 seats for almost every big fight, and I'm convinced that ticket brokers get all of 'em before they even go on sale. RazorGator and other sites, had the nosebleeds available (and still do) for at least a month.

They're selling those same $150 seats right now for $300.

I was looking for the cheapest possible seats, and the $500's were all I could get. It was like that for the Hatton fight too. Fucking scumbags.

Valero vs Soto is Being Pushed For Pacquiao-Cotto

By Mark Vester

Bob Arum of Top Rank is pushing for the fight between WBC lightweight champion Edwin Valero and WBC super featherweight champ Humberto Soto to take place on the November 14 undercard to Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto. Ricardo Jiminez of Top Rank said Arum wants the fight but bothe fighters want the right kind of money and talks are ongoing.

"Arum aready began the negotiations. It is the fight that wants Arum. It's a bit complicated because we have to accommodate both fighters financially based on what they want because it's going to be a great fight," Jiminez told The Record.

Valero is still medically suspended in every state except for Texas. New exams are being submitted and hopefully he gets cleared for a ring return. Valero was medically suspended in 2004 when an MRI revealed a brain bleed that stemmed from an motorcycle accident.

"We are going to put in some quick exams and God willing, I will be ready to fight in Las Vegas against the best. I consider Soto one of the best so it should be a good fight," Valero said.

Soto has a title defense in September but he wants to face Valero in November.

"My first objective is to get past my next defense that is set for September 15 in Monterrey and then we will see about Valero. It is a fight that I would like but we will have to see," Soto said.

I was reading that Montiel-Morel could possibly end up on this card (hopefully it does), or on the December 5th Pavlik-Williams card !

If its on this one, and the Soto-Valero one gets made this is a fucking sick ass card !

Dissention in Pacquiao's Team? Roach/Koncz Rift

By Mark Vester

There appears to be a rift growing in Manny Pacquiao's team. Trainer Freddie Roach has a beef with Pacquiao's advisor Mike Koncz. WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto has been training for the November 14 fight with Pacquiao for the last few weeks. Pacquiao has not started his camp and Roach has no idea when Pacquiao will begin his camp and where the camp will take place. Roach blames Koncz for the lack of communication. He is also upset over some recent comments made by Koncz, where he said Roach was "just a trainer."

"Every time, I call Manny’s number, Mike Koncz answers the phone and I tell Mike ‘where are we training?’ [Koncz] said, ‘I haven’t asked Manny yet.’ I said, ‘well, don’t you think you should ask him? Let’s get something straight here so we know which direction we’re going.’ I’m a little pissed off to be honest with you [about] the lack of communication," said Roach to the Asian Journal .

"Mike Koncz made a comment that we don’t need to talk to Freddie he’s only the trainer. Well, Mike Koncz, I’m the only one in the camp that knows boxing and knows the sport…I’ve been studying this guy (Cotto), watching his fights, I have a good strategy in mind and we just have to implement it now. Well, maybe Mike Koncz can come up with the strategy. I don’t know. You know, I’m so pissed off with that guy you know if they don’t want me to be the trainer anymore that’s fine with me do it yourself."

Roach doesn't think some of the people on Pacquiao's team are taking this fight serious enough. He doesn't buy the talk of Cotto being too slow and he expects the best Cotto ever come fight night.

"People tell me he’s too slow," said Roach. "He beat Shane Mosley, one of the fastest guys in the world. He knows how to nullify speed. He knows a win over Manny Pacquiao erases all the bad things that’s happened in his past. So anyone who thinks this is an easy fight is a fool. This guy is going to give it all he has."

Koncz told ABS-CBN Philippines that there are no problems with Pacquiao's training camp and he plans to settle the beef with Roach "internally."

I agree man, what the fuck is wrong with Manny's people ? Sad to say but Manny's too dumb to know that this is a serious matter, and when he's getting fucked over.

Cotto has started training early, really early for sparring, let's just hope he doesn't peak too early.

One thing though is this shit ALWAYS happens before a Pacman fight. Pacquiao is off being Mr. Hollywood. Freddie Roach cant get in contact with Pac, expresses his concerns through the media. Sometimes, Pac even arrives days late to training camp, Roach is pissed. But training goes well, Pac wins & repeat process.

HOPEFULLY that happens again.

And for Cotto from what I've been reading he's been doing light workouts, so I don't think he'll over train. This is good for cotto because cotto has a reputation of partying and enjoying life in between fights and gaining a lil weight, this shows he means business, i.e Clubber Lang style.

Roach Not Exactly Happy With Pacquiao's Training Location

By Mark Vester

Manny Pacquiao has made a decision to train at home. He plans to start his training camp at a location in Baguio, Philippines on September 17 or 18. After Pacquiao finishes up his media tour for the November 14 bout with Miguel Cotto, he plans to start training immediately. Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach wanted a quiet, secret location in Toluca, Mexico. He fears the constant visits from reporters and fans will distract Pacquiao in Baguio. Both Pacquiao and Roach agree that Cotto will be the toughest opponent that they ever had to deal with.

“I will just do the best that I can [in Baguio],” said Roach to the Manila Bulletin.

Roach will have to travel over to train Pacquiao in the Philippines. It also means that Roach will be unavailable to train many of his other fighters for their upcoming bouts, but that tends to happen when Roach's other pupils have bouts that are close to a Pacquiao date. They plans to travel to Roach's Wild Card gym near the end of their training camp to finish up.
