you know i have asked many muslim relatives about the earth being a sphere when seen from the photos taken from outer space, they answer "its because those blasphemer nonbelievers purposely took these photos at a specific angle"

sad but when you really believe something, you will never question it.

End of discussion

I don't want the Koran to use modern jargon, but I want it to at least mention the egg, which is hardly a modern word, and it doesn't, period.

an ostrich egg:

the earth:

..........
1. Doesn't matter if you see the entire water cycle displayed in intricate detail or not, but we see stages of the said cycle which is good enough. Maybe not for a stubborn fool, but for a lot of people it is.

2. Well, mention of the egg like I said would have been redundant.. They mentioned everything else which is all that matters.

3. They look pretty much the same to me(the egg and the earth). One doesn't deviate too far from the other and this was more than likely the closest comparison to be made at the time..

But anyways.. Your rebuttals are getting weak..

Again, I don't want the book to call Fgfs Fgfs, Wnts Wnts and ZPs ZPs, these are modern terms. But any accurate description of development beyond the level of understanding of the time (6th century) must include the fusion of cells.

And it doesn't....

It says Allah makes the sperm a clot and then puts it in "in a place of rest, firmly fixed" which does not sound at all like a egg, but more of an uterus

And then it says:

We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood (alaqa); then out of that clot We made a (foetus) lump (mudghah)
Absolutely nothing about fusion of cells, exactly the opposite - the sperm is all that gives rise to the fetus. Exactly the misconception of the time

Please, when you don't have sufficient expertise in a field, do not try to promote your nonsense to people. It's for everybody's good

I haven’t replied to you because it would be useless. You are a former Sufi who claims to be a knowledgeable source for Islamic information. All this, and I have repeatedly exposed your false understandings. And ParkBoyz can see that your knowledge pertaining to Islam is squat.

Aslamu Alaikum, ParkBoyz. Your doing a great job brother, and I apologize for not posting. I’m in the process of moving, and starting a new phase in a different school. But if you need anything shoot me a p.m. There’s actually 3 people who use the sicness under this name, im the only one that posts and usually check it out once or twice a week. But if you shoot me a p.m my two roommates are always on and can get a hold of me, or you can just shoot me an email. If your looking into doing more reading I would suggest reading some books by Al-Albani, which have been translated by Bilal Phillips. And hit me up if you need anything.

To add to the original thread here’s some more short videos.

^^Wa alaikum salam.. Thank you Showilla.. I try, even given what I am still learning and yet to learn. I actually do have a question or two for you and I'll PM you when I gather the sources for my questions. It will be merely opinion seeking. Thanx also for contributing the videos.. Sometimes debate is useless and though I am informed that Islam generally encourages open dialogue, some people are stubborn as a mule and I believe there's a sura or two (or more) that describes people like that. When I send you the PM, I'll merely quote you to avoid confusion so whoever receives the message will know who it was directed to. I will also see if I can trace down Al-Albani, as I've been doing a lot of reading lately. Peace for now bro..

if you knew anything about islam then you would know that muslims claim that the quran and claims made within the quran are perfect and valid.
they believe that the quran is a whole, and they challenge nonbelievers to find one mistake because these muslims believe that the quran is flawless.

for a muslim guy to believe that theres even one incorrect claim in the book, the muslims then automatically know and understand that the whole book is invalid.
dont you know muslims believe that God and the word of God is perfect?

there isnt no "oh he really meant to say a sphere but the closest thing to that in those days is an egg" because Allahs perfect knowledge would have said a sphere, NOT AN EGG.

please, in your pm to shoowila, ask him, "when God says something is a thing, such as the earths shape is egg-shaped, can that mean that the earths shape is anything BUT egg-shaped?" and save yourself humiliation.

like many have wished, i wish you a wonderful journey to islam and back.:siccness: :siccness:

you are a fool because if you were to take one second to accept what i am tellin you then you would see that your replies are proof to exactly what i am tellin you.

please quit looking at me as a "nonbeliever" who deserves an eternal punishment and instead READ with an open mind.

god im so sick of believers like you who are SO SURE of their stance that they see their beliefs as the foundation for life. So when somebody comes stating otherwise, you will never allow your closed minds to hear them out.
even tho you think that you are hearing one out, trust me, you really arent, and in reality, your mind will remain primitively closed with primitive belief systems.

i feel bad for you, i really do.

EXACTLY

That's why they realized that science is dangerous for their religion and abandoned it altogether centuries ago

And that's not everything, I don't remember where I read this so you can doubt it, but as far as I know in Saudi Arabia in the beginning of the 20th century they decided that they will do their best to prevent the spread of modern scientific knowledge in the country in order to preserve the fundamentals of their faith....

Well maybe when you refresh your pot head memory you should be able to cite where you found this bogus claim. Until then, you and Hempy are just spewing hot air.

And Hemp has been owned so many times that he has committed entirely to trolling. The kid is more confused than a Lesbian stud and due to his miserable state, has nerve to try and criticize someone for being more stable than himself..

The fact that Hemp reveals the Holes and fallacies of the doctrines of Islam should tell you something. Should a son of a Certified Shiek falling astray from Islam because of the constant contradictions of the followers and it's teachings tell you something? Then you could make a case for a Christian man's son becoming an atheist for the very same reason. Bottom line is hemp is presenting valid questions concerning views contrary to the teaching of Islam. The new divisions within Islam, finding the right clan, the successor of Mohammad the Pedophile LOL. Showilla has done this in the past, present a valid argument and then he'll just give you a bunch of Verses from the Quran then disappear.

Oh well arguments like these are the typical redundant arguments. Pretty much hearsay like usual. Hemp do your thing brother. As much as we've been at odds in the past, I see where you're coming from. Remember the PM you sent me about perception and the difference between wrong and wrong in all religions? Well the month and a half I was gone from the Sicc, I thought about it. You actually helped me grow with my Christian faith. DO your thing man, finding your way.

@Parkboyz I remember you said if you could choose a religion it would be Orthodox Christianity(Which is popular in Ethiopia) so that would lead me to believe you'd chose Orthodox Christianity because it stems from Ethiopia? Am I correct or is there another reason. Then you said Islam would be your second choice and some form of African Mysticism which I forgot. Would you care to explain your choices?

If you knew anything about planetary science you'd realize that the earth isn't and never was a perfect sphere, but of course an ignoramus such as yourself believes that the differentiation of the earth during its formation formed a "perfect" sphere. The fact that the Qu'ran notes that it isn't a perfect sphere contradicts your claims of inconsistency in the said texts and exposes your inherent stupidity which you seem to display so readily.

Stop mis-quoting please, I remember what I said. I said a while ago that I was at a crossroads, somewhere in between Islam, Orthodox Christianity, and African spirituality, in no descending order. Yet, I've always questioned Christianity and have leaned towards Islam even before I initiated study. I really see no need to address your underlying suspicion as to why I felt Orthodox Christianity reflected more accurately the primordial state of the religion, since you seem to be accusing me of afrocentric bias.

Anyways, review this past discussion and you'll begin to see the pattern emerge as to when I began to express my interest in Islam on this site. You were actually a part of this discussion.

I remember when we first had that Discussion, It was deep man. I don't have much time today, but when I do which might be a few days or weeks once again I'll come back to this thread. I'll be coming to and fro in long intervals of time then i'll be posting here, then just poof. Don't think that my suspicions on your choice for Orthodox Christianity was based on my view that you were strictly Afrocentric, don't get me wrong.
