oh sorry shoowila i didnt mean to say that islam taught that the earth was flat, but that gravity is fake and that all of the countries are actually on "top" of the earth.

is that true? yes or no

and can you answer with a yes or a no that islam teaches that the sun revolves around the earth?

all i need is a yes or no for these two questions i posted, but i do apologize for confusing no gravity with a flat earth.

So it is not true that muslims decided that science is going to ruin their faith (they're not stupid after all) and abandoned it altogether, right???

no, they actually believe what they preach and they have explanations that support their claims, but the explainations are based on other parts of the belief system and so on. Assumption based on assumption, like all of us do.
but the really funny part is when there is flat out proof disproving islamic knowledge they say "the non-believers know the truth and are lying on purpose." So science is never credible when they believe the science is wrong.

but their actions all together are only human and any human in their position will most likely do the same thing they did, as i had. nobody is at fault so lets be grown up about this.

Thank you for those videos.

Its good to hear that you have stated the shahada, brother. And even the most devout consider themselves as students of knowledge. Some of the biggest scholars in Islam dislike the term 'scholar' and prefer the term student of knowledge. Thats what it is, we seek knowledge until the day we die. And inshAllah, whenever you have time, visit the local masjid and talk with the brothers, or the imam in regards to any questions you have. You can shoot me a pm, if you have any questions and ill try my best to answer or direct you to someone that can answer your questions.

Wa Salamu Alaikum.

To add to the original thread heres a brief intro to islam, In the background there is a recitor, reciting the 69th chapter of the Quran. His voice kind of changes as he recites, because he is crying (dont want people to think he is singing).

Wa' Alaikum salam

^I respect this kind of humble outlook..

Indeed, Islam is my only path and in the absence of that, I'm admittedly lost. I've been adressing many life issues as of late but proud to say, I have intensified my reading and still have the Islamic finder that you PMed me so long ago, bookmarked, so talking to an Imam sooner than later is indeed foreseeable... Great video also!

Huh? Do you have any examples for this slanderous blanket statement or are you just regurgitating nonsense?

^Give an example, you're generalizing with no frame of reference and have still failed to provide a coherent example. What are you referring to when you make a statement such as this?:

flat out proof disproving islamic knowledge

^Example of this disproof?

What do you mean by "islamic knowledge"??

If it is the science we do today which stems from the work of middle-ages arabic scholars, who laid down the foundations of the scientific method and modern mathematics, you will have very hard time disproving it...

But I am not aware of any significant "islamic knowledge" that was generated after the golden period of arabic science and culture, and in fact islam is the reason for that...

EXAMPLE OF THIS DISPROOF IS THE SCIENCE ABOUT GRAVITY, OR THE TRUTH ABOUT THE EARTH REVOLVING AROUND THE SUN.
are you selectively reading what you want to read?

No, you're just not a reliable source of information since apparently you have no idea what you're talking about and as emphasized before, you're merely regurgitating nonsense which is exactly why you're incapable of quoting a sura from the Qu'ran to support your claim..

Claim #1

The earth revolving around the sun

This short video clip should definitely demonstrate your gross ignorance and misinterpretation pertaining to what is actually claimed in the Qu'ran.

^Shoowilla already posted this, so you must have A.D.D. or something similar.. You affirm this to be true after you already discpicably misrepresented the Koran by claiming that according to it, the earth is flat.

Claim #2

The Qu'ran teaches that gravity isn't real.

^Where is this stated? Total fabrication; please see below..

The collapse of the universe is referred to as the “Closed Universe Model.” The power to realize this folding up is gravity. As we know, all matter is in mutual attraction. When something is thrown into the air, the object thrown cannot help falling back after some time because of gravity; matter that has scattered in every possible direction in space following the Big Bang will retrace its steps in a given time to be folded up. We must remember that at the time of the descent of the Quran, the notion of gravity did not exist and that it was to be known some one thousand years later, thanks to Newton’s discovery.
Quran Miracles | From Big Bang to Big Crunch

^The fact that you so timidly asked shoowilla for verification indicates that you are most likely repeating distortion and displays your lack of confidence in the form of first hand knowledge by way of individual research. Stop being a drone and I suggest that you check those links out that I posted on the previous page.

Wow, you are so utterly retarded.. I posted a video from a "real Muslim", and a renowned one at that who answered your first question, then posted another link from an Islamic publication and the best you can come up with is, "I don't care"? Hahahha! Hopeless.. Please stop embarrassing yourself by making unsubstantiated claims and when being called out on it, cringe like the coward you apparently are.

I do not believe what I am reading.. You have to be the most mentally regressed teenager in the history of siccness.net.. You are sitting up here telling me that Zakir Naik isn't a real Muslim? Based on that alone I most definitely am more familiarized with the topic at hand than you are, and Showilla will definitely confirm that. And still you have no response to the quote and link I provided from the Muslim publication, what, are they not Muslims either? You are such a wack job. Ancient Egypt, Islam, common sense, I beat you on all fronts..

^Which exposes your ignorance and has nothing to do with me as much as it has to do with your disgraceful display of stupidity..

1. You make a bullshit claim that I respond to by way of posting sources contrary to your preconceived assumptions.

2. Once proven wrong, you resort to saving face by ignoring the links and committing to your use of fake ad hominem attacks against me, while not sufficiently addressing what I posted.

3. Once I convince you that this information isn't of my own making, you desperately resort to accusations against the said source, by claiming that a man that you don't even know and never heard of, is not a real Muslim. Unfortunately for you this so-called anonymous man is Dr. Zakir Naik, one of the most respected students of Islam there is and a successor of the late, self-taught Ahmed Deedat.

4. To further add to your embarrassment, after I relay this fact to you, you merely chicken out once again by pleading ignorance and apparently waiting on Shoowilla to come and basically tell you the same damn thing.

I see you as just another fraud who posts in G.O.M. that doesn't really know anything and belongs in the Open Forum or Hip Hop section, since your intellectual capacity is obviously overrated and you have the comprehension skills of a squirrel.

And I don't care if you read this or not; others will and will agree (mainly about you being stupid)....
