Science isn't responsible for bullshit, man is.

That's like saying mathematics is responsible for bullshit.
Mathematics is responisble for bullshit 0+ (7 to the 2nd power years) = my dog old as shit then dead = me sad and depressed = 2 + the 2 wrinkles on my forehead = me feeling like more shit for a grand sum of SHIT.

Really the point I'm making is people are fucked up not the things they name/reorganize/"make". Math is nuetral that's the point your making, so is religion, it's how you apply the two and for what reasons that give them value in the human world.

Steven Hawking said that what separates us from other animals is intelligence, but that same intelligence might one day exterminate the human race.

It's not science that is responsible for that, but the people using it.
Science is a double edged sword.

It's safe to say that science has surpassed the teachings of the Bible by a long mile in the past century, and it will infinitely continue to do so, while the Bible will remain the same, teaching one how to survive in the year 1 A.D.
I THINK YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT OF THE BIBLE, BRO

a lot of moral lessons are learned in the bible...just like most holy books.
a lot having to do with finding yourself and listening to your conscience.

science cant even define what a conscience is lol

science cant provide anything like that. never have never will.

science is simply the observation/study of something. Religion can be, not always, include specific actions their members need to take and follow. So no, religion is not neutral.

I'm not missing the point, I'm actually just taking the bullshit in the book literally. And how does Christianity define what a conscience is? Sure, scientists might be incapable of understanding what a conscience really is, but that mystery can be realized through the mastering of Yoga. Humans do have some god-like superpowers.

Sorry, rushing if some things are left out, don't have many breaks. I'm not an advocate of religion but I really don't care what people believe/follow in, I do, however, care about what they do with those beliefs.

I think it's better to just argue that you don't believe in religion than throw science into it everytime.

Science is neutral, while religion has value judgements attached to it, ok, but then when we start to say religion is bad because it makes poeple do bad things on false premises, then science is implicated in a lot of nasty things as well. Here's a series of thoughts I think are interesting to think about when you compare the virtues of science to the ills of religion : 1st, Science is right and has given justification to bad things; 2nd, Religion should be ignored because it propagates ignorance, part of that ignorance leads to bad things; 3rd, Science is not right because it has supplied reason for bad things just like religion; 4th, Science is the means, but so what? The ends only count - which in this case religion is absolved of it's burden.

i can't tell if your trolling us or not... if you real go enroll in a community college general bio class. You sound like a retard.

Animals and people do and can evolve to a certain extent but dead animals cannot. The giraffe for example. It's brain would explode if it didn't have the spongy material at the back of it's neck when it tried to bend down to drink water. The blood pressure coming down would literally cause enough brain damage to kill the Giraffe. What, did a dead giraffe tell it's kids that it better evolve and develop some spongy material so it doesn't die trying to drink water? There's tons of animals that descredit the theory of evolution, including humans. We evolved from monkeys and apes yet I can go to the zoo and see...
its called Genes. The giraffes that died never passed on traits, the ones that lived past on the DNA with head cushion, and as population grew those genomes. DNA is ever evolving, sometimes for benefit, often times for worse. The same thing apply to dog breeds... you saying if humans can breed a wolves into a chihuahua, the earth over billions of years can't shape biological species?

monkeys and apes.
no its a branched lineage

we all fall under the same umbrella, but not same lineage. Like comparing sharks to tuna's
