Stop it you and I both know Mayweather was not going to make no $25 million fighting Cotto with Cotto being a Top Rank fighter. So Bob Arum doesn't want to paid Mayweather $25 million to fight DLH, but six month later he would have giving him $25 million to fight Cotto? With every post you expose your double standards..

If Floyd would have gotten 25 million for Cotto, he would've taken it. I guess 206 missed the part of the article where it clearly stated what Floyd was being offered.

@206 "Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million."

what? golden boy and top rank were in fact working together at that time. They aren't now back then they were you could find multiple top rank-golden boy fights from that time period so drop that excuse.

@tony, Pac just fought Cotto (champion), Clottey (top 5) and Margarito and has yet to decide who his next opponent is, so I don't see how you can complain about his recent opponents. If he picks shane mosley, yeah that's a bit of a letdown but nothing has been decided yet and we won't know until after pac's birthday celebration (January) so there is lots of time to figure shit out.

No, I didn't miss anything. When you're "guaranteed" a certain amount of a fight, that doesn't include PPV revenue that's the minimum amount you'll make no matter what.

Margarito vs Cotto was one of the best PPV's of that year. Cotto has a huge Puerto Rican following, not too mentioned he was considered the best welterweight at the time besides floyd and anytime a #1 and #2 guys fight, it sells very well. Floyd vs Cotto would have done fantastic numbers. In fact, I'm quite sure it would have done better than Ricky Hatton-Floyd's 925k or whatever it was. If Margarito-Cotto did aorund 500k or whatever, floyd-cotto could have easily done over a million considering they were both undefeated champions and #1 and #2 at the time.

Trust me, Floyd could have made bank fighting Cotto.

It's his life if he wanted to retire that's on him it's floyd's legacy not mine. All I'm saying is this is one of the reason why people criticize floyd, not fighting the top guys when he had chances too.

Pacquiao has fought top guys we are literally arguing over which guy who will lose to pacquiao is the better opponent for him because floyd is on vacation and not willing to fight pacquiao.

Tony, he picks and chooses what questions he wants to answer. No one has answered my question about the Manny pattern of picking who to fight next yet. Because if they do answer the question they will see that Manny fights only shot fighters coming off of bad beatings.

Corrales wasn't a top guy? Hatton wasn't a top guy? De La Hoya wasn't a top guy? Gatti wasn't a top guy? Castillo wasn't a top guy? Stop setting double standards, man.

Corrales wasn't a top guy?
man that was 10 years ago bro and at lightweight. Floyd was fucking awesome back then.

Hatton wasn't a top guy? De La Hoya wasn't a top guy?
No, hatton and oscar weren't top guys at 147. They were money fights. And I'm not against that, no where did I say floyd didn't deserve money fights. Everyone deserves money fights once you make it to that level. That was great for floyd. My problem is he left when the welterwight division was the hottest it had been in years cotto, margarito, williams, cintron, mosley. it was deep.

Gatti wasn't a top guy?
No...

Castillo wasn't a top guy?
10 years ago and at lightweight.

Wow, 2-0-Sixx so you have nothing else to say? So now you're back pedalling back to the shot or not shot question. LOL.. Every post your double standrads are exposed. Answer these questions for me. Before Manny fought Hatton did Hatton get beat up and KO'ed by Mayweather? Before Manny fought Cotto did Cotto get beat up and KO'ed by Maragrito? Before Manny fought Matagrito do he get beat up and KO'ed by Mosley?

Now answer those very simple questions for me. So I can laugh about you dodging the facts that Manny only fights already damaged fighters

bigface you are mentally retarded are something I swear to cod. Everyone in boxing loses. Not everyone is Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Hatton won two fights prior to losing to Pacquiao including a career best win.
Cotto won a belt prior to losing to pacquiao.
Margarito won a fight prior to losing to Pacquiao.

You act like they were coming off of losses, which they weren't. Look, you want to go around in circles and have the same arguments we've already had months ago? Floyd fought Zab Judah after losing to Baldimor. yeeeeeeee. everyone in boxing is shot if you lose, we get your point. carry on.

DLN was the champion at 154lb when he fought Mayweather just to let you know.
yeah yeah, it was a nice paper title. Bernard Hopkins sent Oscar to retirement for 2 years meanwhile, Mayorga (after losing badly to various guys) picked up a vacant paper title by beating none other than Michele Piccirillo, thanks to WBC President Jose Soliman who saw the $$$ signs in making a Mayorga-Oscar fight for Oscar's return from retirement fight and the rest is history. So Oscar wasn't "the champion" at 154, he was a title holder, for what it's worth. It's like what Berto is right now, no one considers him the champion at 147, but he owns a vacant WBC belt.

You couldn't hate on that one huh...
I never have. You should recall I always gave floyd props for that win. But for some reason you and bigface like to pick and choose what you see me type I guess, forgetting the fact I've never rooted against Floyd in a fight....ever, never said he was a bad fighter or any of that. I've said time and time again the only problem I have with floyd is his decisions outside of the ring and the lack of challenges inside. He could have been one of the top 20 fighters of all time he if he wanted to be, but sadly, he'll never be because he wont challenge himself.
