If anyone finds out any information on the OFFICIAL release date for tickets, please drop it in here ! Much appreciated. Already got the flight tickets. Just waiting for these shits to drop.

I know they release on Saturdays @ 10am sharp...just trying to figure out which one. Ha

As much as I think this fight is just a spectacle. I want to be there. LOL.

I know that ticket brokers, and other associates of the promotion companies get the bulk of these tickets, and real fans like us get the short end....I'm gonna try and score some.

This fight is probably going to be bigger than the DLH-Floyd fight, just because of the international crowd that Pacquiao brings in.

You gotta be fuckin kidding me.

Too GOOD to fight the best Pound-For-Pound fighter in the world?

Come on.
If you take into consideration Manny's fights vs. Marquez and Barerra (second)...Oscar's size and strength might help him, along with his chin.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a decision or KO, for that matter. I've seen Manny hurt against Marquez a few times...and I'd assume Oscar has more punching power.

I'll be pulling for Manny, though...

Someone said De La Hoya is too big to be fighting Pacquiao, then dude asked the guy if he's too BIG or too GOOD. How can someone be too GOOD to fight the best Pound-For-Pound fighter in the world? Too big? Maybe. Too good? Fuck no.

"Too good", by itself, won't work. But ''too good'', along with his size, strength, experience, chin. stamina, intelligence could be ''good'' enough to pull out the win.

If this was Javier Castillejo fighting Manny, it'd be a different story. :hurt:

Pacquiao Receives a Personal Warning From De La Hoya

Oscar De La Hoya sent a personal message to Manny Pacquiao this week. While autographing boxing gloves for the 'Dream Match' promotion, Pacman rooted deep into a large cardboard box and spotted a red glove signed in black sharpie by Oscar.

The personal message said -

MANNY

I AM GOING
TO KNOCK YOU
OUT!

OSCAR

Oscar added a little smiley face. Pacquiao looked at it, laughed and shrugged it off.

"He is a great fighter, the Golden Boy," said Pacquiao. "I have been watching him since he won the gold medal at the Olympic Games. He has beaten very famous fighters. That's why defeating him will be very special and important for everyone in the Philippines."

+++++

Freddie Roach, chief trainer for Pacquiao, is working on Manny's fight-night strategies to beat De La Hoya.

"I saw a lot in Oscar's fight against Forbes. I know exactly what Manny must do to defeat him. I will be thrilled when Manny gets his hand raised on Dec 6. I wouldn't be suprised if Manny busts him up and the fight gets stopped."

Pacquiao's Media Day is 1 pm on Monday, Nov 17, at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, Ca.

De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao 'The Dream Match' is scheduled for Dec 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao will be available on HBO Pay Per View.

HBO’s Emmy-Award-winning all-access franchise “24/7” returns with Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao in starring roles. The four-episode series “De La Hoya/Pacquiao 24/7”premieres Sunday, Nov. 16th at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

Its official ! Had to settle for closed circuit seats @ The MGM...but I will be in Vegas for this fight !

Hopefully the odds stay at about 2-1 De La Hoya...I'm going to put some money on Manny ! I think he just might be able to get the decision in this one !

^ I still totally think thats a possibility. BUT. I'm picking youth and speed to prevail over size and strength. You can't hit what you can't catch.

Plus, De La Hoya has a tough time with smaller guys. (See the Steve Forbes fight earlier this year, where the 5'7 Forbes who is not a hard puncher broke Oscar's orbital bone and busted his face up bad)

And he's had a tough time with southpaws.

And you don't think Oscar has knock out power and doesn't know how to fight?

I'm sure that's not the case...the way I see this fight is similar to the Mayweather fight, only in the sense that Oscar can win if he can pin Manny and slug it out with him at close proximity, but Manny's not going to do that, just as Floyd didn't.

size has nuthin to do with knock out power and knowing how to fight.

Actually it does.

Force = Mass * Acceleration

So the bigger the 'thing' is...the harder the blow will be.

But Manny would be a damn fool to sit in there and trade with Oscar. Which I know he won't. I know he's going to fight him on the inside, and negate the reach advantage.
