Antonio"Big Foot"Silva(16-2, beat Fedor his last fight) vs Daniel Cormier(8-0)

Josh Barnett(30-5-0) vs Sergei Kharitonov(18-4)

these are the best of the Heavyweights not in the UFC(should be soon tho, since Zuffa owns Strikeforce). exspect knockouts! their all going for the kill

Im pretty hype for this Gamboa fight. I haven't seen him in a while so it should be nice.

I'll De Leon a fighters chance, but Gamboa thows bricks straight up. Don't know where he generates all that power.

Ponce got beat up by Bonier with little problems. Gamboa defense needs to be tite or he will hit the canvas. I have Gamboa winning a hard fought UD or late TKO..

^^lol @ boner beating up ponce "without problems"

Ponce de Leon (41-3, 34 KOs) was the more active fighter throughout, but fell just short on two scorecards. Broner avoided the upset by taking a unanimous decision, 96-94, 96-94 and 99-91, at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

HBO's ringside judge Harold Lederman scored it a draw. The punch stats were virtually dead even, although Broner was the much more accurate fighter. Ponce de Leon outlanded Broner 127-126, but he also threw 241 more punches.

Broner (20-0, 16 KOs) picks up the WBA junior lightweight Intercontinental title at the age of 20.

The crowd howled in disapproval of the decision and booed when Broner jumped on the ropes looking for adulation.

ESPN3.com will air Prescott-McCloskey live (tomorrow)

• ESPN3.com will offer live streaming coverage in the United States of Saturday's junior welterweight title eliminator between Colombian slugger Breidis Prescott (24-2, 19 KOs) and Northern Ireland's Paul McCloskey (22-1, 12 KOs) from the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Coverage begins at 3:45 p.m. ET. The winner will be in position to challenge for one of the 140-pound belts held by Amir Khan, who has already faced both fighters. (Both are seeking a Khan rematch.) Prescott handed Khan his only loss, a first-round knockout in 2008, and McCloskey lost a one-sided six-round technical decision in a title challenge in April.

I don't need Harold Lederman to tell me how to watch a fight. The crowd was pro-Mexican and Broner boxed the shit out of Ponce de Leon with little to no problem. He made Ponce de Leon miss and countered him all night.

Donaire needs to move up 2 divisions first and have some damn fights. hes not top dog yet
Co-sign Donaire gets so much hype for a person who don't even fight all that much. Let's not forget how he turned down the Showtime tournament too. He needs to fight the tournament winner before Gamboa.

Not a top dog?

Pound for Pound list as of today

1. Manny Pacquiao
2. Sergio Martinez
3. Nonito Donaire
4. Juan Manuel Marquez

yeah, he does need to move up in weight which he will after his next scheduled fight. After that he's at 122 and the bob father promotes both Gamboa and Donaire and he's mentioned the fight happening by next year a few times already.

only way it wouldn't happen is if Gamboa goes up in weight himself, which he very well could.

lmao. Donaire turned down the tournament to fight Montiel, who was ranked in the top 10 pound 4 pound and he got A LOT more money fighting that one single fight against a better opponent than he would have in the entire tournament.

as a floyd fan you shouldn't be talking about guys with hype who don't fight that much. :beard:

Mares/Agbeko aren't in the same league as donaire.

LOFL a p4p list with no Mayweather

lol not the Bob Father, u actually believe anything that comes out of his mouth. Hes been building up a Gamboa vs lopez fight for 3 years now, Donair needs to build up a fan base and fight more often.

He's not on because he hasn't fought in 16 months or so. As soon as he fights and beats Ortiz, he'll be put at #2 or #1 (I'm sure there will be a split amongst the boxing sites).

So yeah, as of right now, he's not on the list.

Regardless, doesn't matter. You can insert him and Donaire is still top 5.

No I don't believe everything he says, but he's actually talking about making the fight. With Lopez/Gamboa, he kept saying "not yet, we got to build the fanbase" he's not saying that now.

I also think he has no faith in Gamboa becoming a star. He believes Cuban american's are mostly white and don't follow boxing that much, so I think he believes Donaire will beat Gamboa and become a huge star (the next pacquiao IN HIS MIND).

that's why I actually put stock into what he's saying in regards to donaire vs gamboa.

Also, the fight makes sense because there are no $$$ money fights out there for either guy.

Donaire goes up to 122. Who is in the division? Nobody.

Gamboa is at 126. Only name there is JuanMa. Other than that, he can go to 130 pounds, which has who? Nobody. Adrian Broner is there but he's not a name nor does he bring money.

So financially speaking, donaire vs gamboa makes a lot of sense next year.
