Music started getting worse when the means to make it got affordable for nearly anyone to make it. Too many artists & artists are way too prolific, not enough quality control. Think alot artists don't take as much pride in their music cause they know most are gonna steal it anyway, & they aren't making as much money as they should off it.Artists put out music on their own labels so they don't have anyone to answer to, affects quality control too. Too close to their music to know what's really good, & their crews are "yes" men. New cats should get legends to oversee/executive produce their albums, mentor these young cats, might help.

i think you got it all wrong.
yes anyone can have a studio and the price for a good one can run up to 6 g's that don't mean it's gonna be as good as industry standards.
now were your wrong at is back when rap music was good these rappers were being signed to majors that backed them paid everything promoted and all so if you were good you made it if you weren't you got dropped,theres nuthin wrong with a million rapperes getting studio's and trying to learn,thats how garage bands started they wanted to be rockstars.
now kids want to be rappers it is what it is.
the independent game is were it started then they got majors who seen them getting sales so they invested now days the ones who made it will always sell.if they go independent its good they was on a major please dont anyone think that indepent is the best way the best way is selling mad records.just my 2 E-low 8treuno
