i think its the exact opposite. i think bay rappers think they are way too cool cus they're from the bay.......back in the 90's when the game wasnt as flooded and rappers from the bay for the most part repped their city as opposed to a whole handfull of countys, the shit was different. the shit went from cats being rappers to being "bay" rappers........ya'll lost me doin that......

imma put it like this..i lost all my cds so im startin my collection back up. went to rasputin and tower records trying to find some new shit to slap. ended up leaving with grit and grind, loyalty and betrayal, charlie hustle, copium, the jack artist ,mac dres the name and yukmouth godzilla. CDs that i know i can count on cuz all the new shit is iffy.

I've been more satisfied with bay releases more then every other region put together but I like rappers that actually have flows unlike a lot of these mainstream retarded mothafuckas that barely put bars together. In general the older rappers from all over still put the best shit out cuz there formula is just better then all these younger gimmicky dorks that think there cool as Ice lol.

Most beats are terrible. Most bay producers are literally tone deaf and should give it up cause music isn't for them. It doesn't help that the fans here eat up the played out 2004 sped up soul sample chipmunk beats that Berner and amp be using. Some are alright but Just cause a beat has a sample in it doesn't make it good. There are good bay producers out there it's just rappers nowadays don't wanna pay for beats. They don't want to pay for studio time, or mixing, or mastering, or album covers.
That cost cutting mindset carries over to the final product which ends up being shit. How many bay albums out there would a major label A&R listen to and think "this is a professional major label quality album"? Yeah.
