The problem with O'Reily is that he seems to generalize hip-hop as a violence, gangs, drugs and sex which is not entirely true. O'Reily is talking more of Gangsta rap which is just ONE ELEMENT of hip hop. You want to know how ignorant that is? That is like me singling out some SHOCK ROCK bands because of there lewd and disgusting messages in there music and blaming Rock for all of it. Thats ignorant because there's many elements in Rock music and not just one.
O'Reiily has got to be a lot smarter in his discussions, if he wants the foul language, violence, and the disrespect of women to go in some rap music he needs to help or shoot atleast discuss getting the streets clean. Because some of these rappers rap about what they see and did on the streets. You just can't tell somebody that grew up seeing a lot of shit like violence, abuse, drugs, money, sex to not rap about it, thats all he knows. Thats all he's seen for most of his life. O'Reily needs to talk about the root of the problem instead of telling it to magically go away.

but werent the ghettos and the times back in the 80's almost the same as now. yet back then there was RUN DMC, KOOL MOE DEE, LL COOL J, PUBLIC ENEMY.....ect and they werent swearing. i mean even lynch had a few tracks that were edited that really didnt sound much different than the unedited ones.
i mean i got nothing against free speech and he should be able to put out what he wants but the media (as in radio, movies, MTV) and all shouldnt build him up like they do. his music should be for adults (hence EXPLICITE LYRICS) but they pump it out on the radio every what 15 minutes. where young kids listen to it.

yes i do, in combination with other things like movies that dipict violence, and also tv shows that depict sex such as friends, ally mcbeal (sex, language, Robert downey jr.), boston public (i bet in the near future there will be incidents of violence where the ideas will be taken from this years season opener).
