excuses,excuses,excuses..L.O.L. on the sertious side i gain a new repect for you,especially when you say you aint tryin to be the hardest( man I thought you looked like that left pocket rider O.G. Bobby Johnson.) really Im the same I aint trying to be the hardest, Im never gonna come out my mouth and say Im better then anyone, what ive been saying all along just make good music, Yeah Rasan whooped my ass in round 2, I was producer 4 but he won cause he made a better song in every aspect.
dave moss I do think you have talent, and the more I get exposed to different producers (cause I thought hot producers were rare) I also realize that there are alot of hot unknown producers.so what is gonna seperate you from them? I mean this in no negative way, but just from the little I know of you( and I know there is more then what people read hear, when i met you you turned out to be cool peoples) I know you have all the tools to be sucessful
1.Talented as far as making beats
2.Talented behind the boards(engineering)
3.Educated in the music field.
you have all the tools to make hot shit, but after that thats when your people skills come into play,again I know this is the net,and there is another side we dont see,but you said yourself your not a good talker.being articulate and being able to communicate is important,especially the more you further your career, and have to deal with label heads,A&R, executives etc.(again Im not saying you dont know this)
and dont take the net lightly..especially the siccness the #1 rated gangsta rap site,and as this sight evolves and expands it could be a big benefit to have a good repoire, with not only the staff,but with the members.Remember you never know who is gonna be reading this,that beat contest would have been great on your resumeif you would have won.Yes i said if, even my homie who has platinum albums and songs said he might not have won either, cause we all have different personalities,and tastes.Im not saying every beat in the contest was hot,but some of them beats was no punks,and I seen beats I thought shouldve won..lose...and I felt it was pretty fair contest.
In closing dave I dont care what business you in, its not just about selling someone a product, you will go further when you develop friendships and build realtionships, Id rather sell 1,000 c.ds to the ones I built relations with then 10,ooo strangers cause the ones you built relations with are customers,fans for life

I was about to come on and post the the same thing, but irocc said it all. lil rob spent over 120,000 to get all those spins. After you get a radio promotor, you need a pr person and you need to get out there to all these citys playing your song. The rap game cost money to get in the door, Talent has nothing to do with it. Busta Rhymes album keeps getting pushed back cause he doesnt have a radio song yet.

true story... i got family in new york and they think SD is a small community in LA. with that being said, it will be extremely hard for anyone in so cal to make a name for themselves when artists have no choice but to go to LA or NY to make a name for themselves. the eastcoast does bump Jayo, and i'm pretty sure they will bump some Mitchy too, but to say that someone will put SD on the next level to me sounds like a dream. Mitchy is signed to a label called Angeles Rec. now, where do you think these NY, ATL, and midwest heads are going to think Mitchy is from? i think Cricet is the only one that really keeps it on that true Diego status and needs to be recognized for the work he has done for the SD music scene. and VMF too.
I think in reality that there is too much focus on puttin dago on the map,I feel even if you get signed by a small label in north carolina..if they push you and you reppin dago..it would still be a look for dago...mitchy reps dago just as hard a s the next man....But you have to go where the work is at ..there is only so much you can do from home....there have been plenty of talent out of dago,why hasnt anyone really blown up besides jay-o.....jayo was one of the few who left dago to pursue his career...now when there are big record companies,and sandiego becomes an entertainment city then dago will be a place for others to come do business
