,i think everyone has valid points except rasan, and k.o....Im just playin... I personally think each person who commented brought up valid points. Dave moss is right as far as quality, and investing in your career,company,project whatever.I think he is saying he would rather take a longer road, and make sure each brick is solid, and build a reputation for hot shit....Im on that page 100%. Coop you right as well it takes more then word of mouth, but Im feelin irocc when he states why unify..for what..Im thinking and I told K.O. last night fuck a movement...this is rap music, just make music push it and let it speak for itself,now anyone will tell you I will help anyone who reaches out there hand as much as I can if Im able..there aint nothin with helping artist and networking in your region.I just like anyone could have aproached I rocc to get down on some tracks, but why? what am I gonna do to benefit him or how far am I gonna push it...why waste there time, on the other side why would you want mitchy,irocc, to get down on tracks to help your carreer? my whole point that coop agreed upon was that there are too many artists complaining about not getting respect, and a fair shake, but those artist need to ask what they are doing to promoting there careers.....Not just the word promoting...more like furthering there careers...cause the ones Im talkin about think they got the hottest production and are the most lyrical and aint no one on there level..so I didnt bother going into raising there bars and production cause someone like that you cant tell them nothing.. But I applaud you for your devotion to quality cause this game is saturated with garbage, and people wonder why the west is getting passed up you right its turned into a hustle for thousands, but how long is any hustle gonna last with inferior product, Im looking into longevity, I spent over $14,000 on my beats for my two projects and worked out something for the other two with rikk and daddy s, so I feel IM all baout quality too or I would have made all the beats......damn my eras are hurting already..hahaha.

I agree and i agree with moss to a certain extent i never said anything about unite it's a movement occuring rather you like or not when they speak on diego they dont just mention 1 artist or 1 producer and thats now, with out anyone releasing anything on a major and that's what i ment by it doesnt take one. of course quality music is the key im a fan b4 anything and good music dont always come in that cd case you purchase that's life but while your working on quality the game is steady evolving songs are getting old and with most artist when they finally get there stuff all the way together they end up falling in the same catagory dave and you speak on. making music comes easy to you all. you guys are musicians how long does it take to make quality music after you have found out the formula? compared to building relationships in the industry with a&r, managers, dj's, artists, stores & there buyers concert promoters, etc. how are you gonna push a record and blow if the public has never heard of you ? that what im talking about from a kibble to a boulder thats how the game works IMO. and thats all it is my opinion i dont see nobody getting signed off of talent. and good quality music right now Irocc has a hell of quality album but look its been alot of issue reguarding that record and it keeps getting pushed back.

coop..lets not let this get out of hand, again i think everyone has valid points except K.O the huslah and Rasan..Just kidding again. seriously without a tight product from beats to lyrics to sound quality, your limiting your potential and longevity,(and there are so many cutting these corners to make a few quick bucks) But you are so right about putting in the hardwork after you have product in hand..and thats where most aspiring artists dreams die, whether its through not knowing efective promotions(cause some waste money in this dept by not studying the market,demographics,etc.) some not networking and having contacts to work that product outside the area.Building relationships is important..there are plenty of people who would love to help you spread your music,flyers,etc and many times it might not cost you much at all if anything but some free promotional products etc.This is key on the lower level of the game,but as irocc stated payola is still in effect, its against the law yeah but it still is there you may not want to admit it, you may not like it, but you gotta deal with it....there are people in my camp who think if its hot they have no choice but to play it....I keep my mouth shut from fear of sounding negative,this is why I dont even consider radio an option at this point and am not focused here.It takes time to accomplish your goals in this game,but have goals, have a plan,and start working on building relationships,wich can benefit you for the duration of your careeer

coop to answer your question which we have discussed on numerous occasions is simple: you gotta get out there, go city to city, get t he fleyrs, crack in, get the samplers crackin, network with other artist in other regions..but right now, like irocc said, the key is indeed bds spins, no spins, no major deal..the industry don't care about soundscan no more, i mean they care, but no bds spins? i mean a lot of bds spins then whats the point, whats the bother..you gotta look at rap from a business stand point at times, cuz if not you will get lost in the shuffle...
you need a combo of a street buzz, bds spins, local support and regional support, and great soundscan numbers to take dago to the next level..

Coop, I was just trying to mediate and try and simmer the situation.Beleive me I do speak my mind as far as criticism,but there are a few I criticised and I was being looked at ,as being negative, so I focus my energies on those that respect my opinions.I cant agree enough cause I feel if you say nothin then you aint doing them a service, but as you realize some people think they got it all figured out.So instead of talking to closed ears, I have to let them learn on there own,Everyday is a learning experience to me and Im always eager to learn.I think you are one of the few people I personally know ,who is really down to help, and if you research old threads I always stated..It seems like the ones you try to help the most are the ones who think your fuckin them.Its a double edge sword helping people..there are ones who really appreciate it, and ones always searching for your motives, instead of being grateful.
