if hyphy is "native" to oakland and not a recent fad,why wasnt anybody getting hyphy in too short videos back in the day or in other bay videos or using the word hyphy? to me is sounds like when crunk blew up the bay was like this is our version of if and called it hyphy.

If u live in the bay and your a teenager that listens to rap, theres a high percentage you'll be into the hyphy movement! Yall that dont like hyphy probably were teenagers in a different time, where G-Funk, Mobb Funk, Eastcoast, or other may have dominated your listening habits. Every generations got their own thing, dont gotta hate just cuz u cant relate!

I wouldn't mind. :) It's quite old the 90's, but the best Rap came out of that era, so why the fuck not? :cool: Alls you have to do is listen to then and now, and you'll see the BIG difference. Much better quality back then, from lyrics to the beats themselves. Shit that you can roll to in your car, dance to, smoke to, fuck a bitch to, everything! The vibe was dope as fuck. Shit is wack now as far as Rap goes, most of it is, bunch of lames. The only thing I kind of like these days is this new type of RnB, shit like Pretty Ricky-On the Hotline, Bobby Valentino-Tell Me, Brian Mcknight-Used To Be My Girl, shit like that.
