I dont think anyone deserves to be MVP

Kobe = awesome player, NO ONE can deny he's tight, but hasn't made his team better like Nash or Lebron

Nash = makes everyone around him tight, deserved it LAST YEAR, but the 2 years in the row thing makes NO sense..how many championships he got? A 2nd year MVP gotta deliver the goods...he might get it this year..who knows

Lebron = incredible..better than Kobe when it comes to gettin his team mates involved, but still too young

It's a tough decision...I'd say no one gets it..or should I say really deserves it
This didnt make the least bit of sense.

Jordan was far better than Kobe. He was not as selfish, he was a better defender, and he made his teammates perform at a higher level. There is no comparison between Kobe and Jordan.

No thanks to Kobe. Unless they tried harder because they were being left out so badly.. Either way he did not directly and deliberately try to help them perform at a higher level.
You're getting it all mixed up. Nobody is saying Kobe is better than Jordan... Jordan earlier in his career had to score to carry his team and get them to the playoffs. Of course he was selfish (in a good way) because he wanted to win. Kobe is doing the same shit. What the fuck are y'all talking about saying Kobe shoots too much and doesn't get his teammates involved. He's a fuckin SHOOTING GUARD! Not a point like Nash, or small forward like LeBron. Kobe is getting paid to shoot the damn ball. Just at the right time... Once Kobe gets hot he'll start drawing double team and then when it becomes a game of 4 vs 3 the game goes in the Lakers favor. Swing the ball and get open looks or uncontested layups. That's why they're kicking the Suns ass. It's because Kobe draws double teams to free other guys up for good shots. Now you don't call that making your teammates better? You muthafuckin' right he helps his teammates get better. Why do you think the Lakers are competitive in this series? The series is tied and Kobe hasn't even hit for 30 yet and might not have to because he Suns are trying to do to much to stop him. It's Lamar Odom hittin' clutch 3 points because Kobe is drawing double teams to get him open. Luke Longley gettin' drives to the basket because of Kobe drawing double teams. Kwame Brown getting offensive boards and put backs because Phoenix is too busy double teaming and not boxing out. Watch the fuckin game!! Phoenix is not a good defensive team...too bad the MVP isn't known for his defense.

Bottom line is Kobe has made his teammates better by getting them open looks too. When you're so much of a threat to score teams gots to double team and rotate. That tires a team down in the long run. The Lakers don't have to double anyone on Phoenix. Nash is the only one that can play "selfish" one on one basketball and school his defender. If the Suns are going to have any chance... Nash is going to have to score like Kobe did in the season. Put up some 40 and 50 point games to force the Lakers to double. The Suns aren't getting too many open looks. But the MVP wants to get everyone involved so he's going to keep trying to set his teammates up. It's hard to do in "half" court basketball. That's another reason why they'll lose. Nash is too much of a team player. You need to be somewhat selfish if you wanna win. Nash dished out 9 assist and still lost. Nash can't come with his typical 20 point 10 assist and expect to win. He's gotta score for his team and then others will get good looks. Don't y'all get it?

YOU RAMBLED ON, SAYING A WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING.

All that shit you said about Kobe getting his teammates open looks only applies to this series against the suns. It didn't happen during the season, and it is also irrelevent to this topic.

^^ As bad as I wanted Kobe to win it, your comment makes absolutley no sense. The finals has its own MVP. If the Lakers win the championship Kobe will most likely be Finals MVP but a SEASON mvp has to deserve it during the SEASOn not during the first game of the playoffs or the day they award him his ring. And you can't use two different time periods in one damn sentence. If kobe wins the championship he shoulda got it? How is that even possible?

I understand what you're saying, i'm just guilty of getting on here hella loaded and not expressing myself clearly.....so instead on saying something smart ass back I will concede that i should have been clearer.

Kobe hogging the ball in the reg. season was a let down, looked like his team wasn't gonna do shit. Then come the 'offs, and he's getting his team involved and who knows how far they will go now, i thought the suns were going to have their way with them. Now I see the rest of the Lakers stepping up, and Kobe taking over the game when he has to, and also some spectacular fourth quarter play.

If Kobe does get to the Nba finals, let's say, then I will go back and look at the reg. season differently. I would look at it like, "wow, kobe had to ball hog so his team would make it into the playoffs. Now that they're in the playoffs, he's now playing team ball, making the Lakers even more solid". So, if they're in the finals, i'd look back and my opinion would change.
Yes, once a MVP is named, the only other thing left would be the finals MVP. I'm just saying how differently i'd think if Kobe takes his team all the way. I'd look at his reg. season play much more differently that I had been.....Feel me?

I dont hate the Lakers. I dont feel one way or the other about them. I think Kobe is the best individual player in the game right now. And I aint complaining about shit. Just offering an unbiased take on that particular play because the Lakers fans are braggin hella tough about what was (at least to me) a clear charge.
