calling mma UFC is like calling boxing Golden Boy.. so i'll take that opinion for what it is.
I don't mean MMA as a whole, specifically I mean UFC which I should have originally stated but didn't think anyone would actually take it seriously enough to where I would have to discuss it further. I don't like the UFC, I just don't like the "brand" or the product they sell. MMA as a whole is different.

my bad, thats one of my pet peeves (i fuckin hate that term) ..i cant stand when people call it ufc & generally dismiss anyones opinion on the subject once they do so. i also prefer to watch the competition, & prefer a different rule set & less wrestle-centric combat than the UFC often provides. but now i'm dragging this way off topic, this is a boxing thread, & i am drunk..

Mayweather Defies Court Order, No-Shows Deposition

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – This morning, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. refused to appear for a court-ordered deposition in the defamation lawsuit filed by pound-for-pound champion and Congressman Manny Pacquiao in a Las Vegas federal court. Mayweather tried to postpone the deposition last minute, but Federal Magistrate Judge Robert Johnston denied his request and ordered Mayweather to appear for deposition today. Mayweather did not appear.

Pacquiao's attorney, Daniel Petrocelli of O'Melveny & Myers, said, "Mr. Mayweather maliciously leveled false accusations about Mr. Pacquiao. We are anxious to examine him under oath about those statements. He is just dodging his deposition because he is afraid to testify, but he has no right to defy a Court Order."

I checked the sig. Ortiz is not coming off a "dominate" performance. What BHOP did to Pascal was a dominating performance. Ortiz got knocked down several times in that fight correct? How are you dominating if you're getting knocked down? Somewhat consistant? Yes, I'd give him that. Dominating? No.

And what happened to Floyd cleaning up the sport? What happened to not disrespecting the courts?

LMAO!!!!!!!!

What the hell am I talking about? A fighter that is DOMINATING the fight isn't picking himself up off the canvas twice. Consistant, yes I'll give him that. Dominating? No. Again, refer to my comments abot BHOP and his DOMINATING win over Pascal.

As for your vagina comment, not once have I ever came at you faulty or sideways like that pimpin. No need for that.

mayweather knows he could beat Ortiz easily that why he's taking the fight. he was ring side and watched the whole thing go down, he knows he'll handle Ortiz easily. but he's a little unsure about pacman so he needs to take a tune up fight before he test himself.

Marquez aint broken and the only fights he's lost in 5 years was to Floyd and the close decision to Pacquiao (arguably much longer than that depending on how you scored the Chris John fight).

The mosley fight did prove to be pointless, though, I wish he would have just fought JMM instead as that proved to be a waist of time.

As for the Ortiz-Berto, I agree with HERESY he didn't dominate him. He was knocked down twice and nearly knocked out in the 6th. It was a great entertaining fight though and the big thing for Ortiz was that he showed real heart for the first time in his pro career and that was something he needed to do after the Maidana KO. He gets so much props because he was the underdog, people wrote him off and he proved his naysayers wrong and he was entertaining. Still, that doesn't change the fact he's only had 1 title fight and IMO he's just not ready yet for the elite fights like Floyd or Pac. Ideally I'd like to see him get a chance to defend his title at least once or twice before stepping up so soon.

Now I'm putting you in the same group as bigfake. Two clowns who don't know anything about boxing yet rant and rave about nothing and probably can't take a punch in real life.

Here you go shitstain1

From what I've seen a lot of Floyd fans don't know shit about boxing. You have bigfake talking about 9oz gloves and shitstain1 talking about Ortiz dominating Berto yet he was knocked down twice and was almost ko'd in the 6th. They are always yelling "coming off a win" but they never make mention of who those wins were against, if a person has constantly fought champions, etc. And don't get me started on the "shot fighter" shit they bring up.

Ortiz is untested when it comes to elite fighters like Pac and Floyd, and Floyd is going to ruin this guy.

I know, I try not to agree with Bob Arum but what he said recently I believe is true which was basically that he doesn't understand why Golden Boy would put him in the ring with Floyd so quickly. It's not like he's getting truckloads of money he's going to get about $3 million (and floyd gets around $25-35 million, reportedly) and he basically said he feels they are pushing him way too fast. He said if he promoted Ortiz there is no way he'd do that, he would try to build him into more of a star and get him more experience, which I agree with. I just have this bad feeling that after Ortiz loses to Floyd he's just going to be tossed aside by Golden Boy and that would be a shame because he has a lot of potential to become a star.

Shut your Manny dick licking faggot ass up already. You're too fucking dumb to understand that a fighter only becomes tested by fighting a elite fighter you fucking dumb ass. Mayweather is giving a young hungry fighter a chance to shine the fans should be happy.

Okay Bob Arum Jr. You're a Top Rank dick licker for real. Ortiz is getting his biggest payday of his career and big fight experience. This is the opportunity of a life time for Ortiz and he's coming off the biggest win of his career. If you want to be the best you have to fight the best. So why not make a fight with the best fighter now? Golden boy helped Ortiz get his career back on track, so how can you talk shit about Golden Boy and this is Ortiz's second big fight in a row. But you always try to discredit whoever Mayweather fights anyway, so this is nothing new from your dick riding ass..
