I'd say Schmidt did.. that money for nothing, just to sit.. atleast Zito played and we got some good starts out of him the last couple of months.. And he's getting his stuff back, Andruw Jones+ Schmidt > Zito.
noproduction is better than bad production...............nothing is better than loses..........................and still Jones and Schmidt getting 93M for being on the bench is better than Zito's 126M for losing 14 games a year........JMO
^^ its pretty much the same shit if you really look at it..
no production.. = waste of money, bad production = waste of money but in a sense atleast the player is playing.. either way you're paying a player that either sits on the bench riddled with injuries or you're paying one that is not the guy you thought you were getting.
But anyways.... that kid Jesus Guzman is a beast, so is that 19 year old kid Nick Noonan who hit that 2 out grand slam to win the game!
BUMGARNER VS. RAMIREZ: Nineteen-year-old Madison Bumgarner, the Giants' top pitching prospect, started Wednesday against the Dodgers and struck out Manny Ramirez on three pitches.
"He's great. He's nasty," Ramirez said. "Nineteen? Wow. That's unbelievable. He's great. Good fastball, good curveball and sneaky."

Blind fans? LOL I'm one of the most baseball sounded minds on this board and I know what I speak. In terms of being a Lefty, hard quick fastball, and breaking ball to go with it. If he pans out the Way many of us TRUE giants fans expect him to pan out, I expect numbers like this 18-6 3.25 ERA 250 Ks.

lol......Burmgarner ceiling is that of a weak #1 or a strong #2......lol at 250K's........ask scouts who has true #1 potential Kershaw or Burmgarmer........
what the heck is a "hard quick fastball"? i have never heard that term when describing a pitchers fastball velocity!!!!
those numbers you described are the kind of numbers "some scouts" would project on the most elite lefty prospects, #1 David Price, and #2 Clayton Kershaw...........many scouts wouldn't even project those numbers on those two.
the closest guy that projects to putting up those kind of numbers is STILL IN COLLEGE........San Diego State......Stephan Strasberg...........
