PORTER NEEDS AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT B4 HE COMES BACK
Dude needs a big plate of humble pie before he comes back that is if he comes back. You dont get shit handed to you off of potential forever, you have to earn it and work to keep it in this league. It might be his last chance before he finds himself out of the league or playing for peanuts as a third or fourth string guy. With the raiders lack of WR he could be the 1 or 2 option which is kinda sad but raiders need all the help they can get at WR. Some young talented guys but no pruven threats on the team Raiders need to look into getting somebody in there before the year starts.

imo, we should make a play for harrison.

he, along with our TE, will be good, sure handed targets for russell, and that will help his confidence as well asthe team's confidence in him.

still need another threat, but higgins can run those deep routes in the meantime.

that should open up the running game

REPORT: RAIDERS TELL PORTER NOT TO UNPACK
Posted by Mike Florio on February 25, 2009, 7:25 p.m.

Amid rumors and speculation that former Jaguars receiver Jerry Porter could return to the Raiders, the folks at RaiderBeat.com report that the team has decided not to bring Porter back.

Porter had planned to explore options with other teams before deciding whether to entertain an offer to return to Oakland.

At some point along the way, however, coach Tom Cable and owner Al Davis decided not to pursue a reunion with Porter.

Porter joined the Raiders via the second round of the 2000 draft. He signed with the Jaguars last season, but was cut after only one year.

Marvin Harrison is done.
agreed... he cant get no seperation no more he doesnt command the double team at all like he used to. hes probably gonna end up like timmy on the bucs or rice on the seahawks... but i do think al will bring in a veteran, they said javon has been working hard but that dont mean shit and i was wondering if drew carter will be back but hes an accident waiting to happen along with walker.

Agreed!! Harrison is done we don't need him. Now that Peyton won't be throwing to him any more he's going to be pretty useless. He'll retire after next season. I am not sure about Javon Walker though... I mean injuries do happen but he's expensive man. I supported that move to get Javon Walker big time.... it's going to be interesting how this plays out.
