lol i dont have to look up cunninglynguists..i know one of them fools..but yeah...my opinion is they wouldnt smash on 99 percent of the peopel from the south..because theres more to rapping than rapping...alot of times when you be on these message boards and dudes be pittin up a underground dude against a dude from the south they dont even know the dude they put up against homeboy...that might be lyrical homeboys favorite rapper right now....or because they like cryptic lyrics with a bunch of rhyme flipping and think simplistic rap is wack and has no skill...t pain really was the autotune nigga from the jump...so i can fuck with it..kanye i cant..i was listening to his (tpain) shit in the car last night and i liked it...and i listen to anything from beethoven to celtic music to dr. alimantado to david sanborn to abstact rude...so i dunno if its a creative issue its just different fruits? you like it you like it..maybe ya tastes will change when you get older..

I think its a great idea, but personally I don't know many people that listens to the radio let alone internet radio. Most the times that people have asked me to check them out on the internet radio was usually like 10 p.m. and im tucked in tight by 8 hahah. Also when I get on the internet..Im either doin some kind of work im concentrating on..and need no distractions or Im just tryin to relax on some forums or some shit, and most that shit is....checking out this media file or somethin..so i would have to keep turning off the internet radio...

I dont hear Lil Al tracks all day on Z90 or hardly any San Diego artists?? Hes playin the songs the program director wants. The programmer has to make the Advertisers happy. The Advertisers are not tryin to pay for airtime for local music. Somewhere like the Bay ( that area up North composed of several major citites) may be a lil different with stations like KMEL and enthusiastic fans and buyers of local music. We may get a local night on Sunday at 9:00 pm.. Or the Late night mix show on Saturday. Both B and C slots compared to the prime A slot ...Weekdays From The early mornig shows, to old skool at noon...To the Drive at 5...Prime Time Radio Stations charge their premium rates for Advertising. Now why would they want to play local music that 80% of the people listening are not familiar with.

I'm just sayin folks locally have survived on the Underground this whole time. With hardly any substantial Radio Play. The fanbase here knows not to listen to the radio to hear the music they want to hear. They take the time and search out the raw unadultered music with no corporate suits tellin artists how they should act and what cheesy radios songs they need to "make it"

@ Gas I feel you homie, all a matter of descretion like i said before, T Pain was on to something when he came out I think, but it got a little redundant to me after it kept repeating itself, then when everyone else started to do it....it got saddening...Hip Hop has always had the unspoken rule of no bitting, but people do it openly now...and encourages the young cats trying to find themselves as MC's to do the same. The Art of MC'ing in the mainstream has become bearuacratic and not so much an art anymore in my opinion, im not too young though only 26, but I still got alot to learn I do know this...

I hear ya. Money Money. That paperbag money would help or casino money. A stimilus check from the Govt aint doin it. Maybe we can ask Congress for a San Diego Rap Bailout. Me personally I aint tryin to get to the radio. Then again I dont rap. I still cant recall any local artist gettin radio play in the San Diego Market and other markets simultaneously. Except maybe Jayos Whatcha Gonna Do and Lil Rob jams. And the radio isnt all consumed by rap. Theres pop rock, RnB..Jonas Bros, Mailey Cyrus on there way to takin over and the the kids they cater to are gonna grow up with them. You be better of puttin 60 thousand into a Jonas Bros feature.
