I DONT KNOW I'VE ALWAYS DONE THIS AND HAD 9TO5. WHY I DO IT?? I HAD THE HEART FOR IT I GUESS. I SAW MYSELF IN THE PEOPLE THAT WERE INTO THE SAME MUSIC AND LIFESTYLE I WAS. BUT TODAY BEING THE DAY THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF THIS UNITED STATES WAS SWORN IN. I CANT HELP BUT THINK THAT MY FOCUS AS A MAN SHOULD CHANGE TOO. BARACK BECAME PRESIDENT. MAYBE I CAN OWN SOMETHIN BESIDES MY BEAT UP ASS EXPLORER.

MY PARENTS HAD DR. KING & THEIR PARENTS TO LOOK UP TO. MY GENERATION HAD TUPAC AND BIGGIE . MY SON HAS ME & BARACK OBAMA.

WHAT IF WE ALL USED THE ENERGY WE DEVOTE TO THIS RAP MUSIC GAME, ON ELECTING GAS ONE FOR MAYOR!! WE would be a force to be reckoned with

Damn If that Aint a SOLID Letter of reccomedation, I Dont know what it is.

Thank You

What I've done I've given it my all. Maybe not 110 percent, 100 percent of the time. But I try. The money aspect I dont know?? Its what we strive for. But almost evryone up in this piece has put more money and time in it, then they received back. But yet somethin keeps DRIVIN US.

The DJ''s need shit to play that the people wanna hear. The Promoters need venues and artists that can do more than just rap. And The Drive Can Only Go SO FAR IF PART OF THAT CHAIN IS BROKEN. AND 1 PART OF THAT CHAIN IS MISSIN, THE VENUE OWNER. VENUE OWNERS ONLY DRIVE IS MONEY. Now if either of us owned a venue would we still be doin what we do in the music game. Would we cater to this rap scene in san diego?

You can be the best rapper on the tightest industry beats. But if you spend all that time in the studio perfecting your craft chances are your only buildin a fanbase with the rappers who rollin into the studio and maybe everyone on your myspace account.

You can be the best producer in Dago but if the projects you workin on dont make it out of San Diego or the Bay then whats the point.

You still need to market beyond just postin a thread or sendin out a bulletin on your myspace.

The music and talent is here. The marketability is not. Rappers all branded as rappers. A character role.Nothin different or new about it.
there is no market out here we gotta make our own market..... there needs to be more record stores.. more djs on radios doin shows...i mean youre right you gotta go outside off dago and push and thas what were doin i dont kno about everybody else but as far as paying to play thats sum rock band shyt im coo off that.. and as far as payin for people to come out here then say that youre makin money?? well wheres the money coming from?? is it comin from tha venue?? or is it comin from the money you charged for artists to perform??

@ Kayo I've never seen you or your cd anywhere. Nor have i ever herd your music being played anywhere. So i'm sure your not making much bread ff you cd's. Also i never see you at any local or major shows. You rappers need to stay off the internet lying. And didn't do a show at static lounge (which is the smallest venue in san diego)???

@ Crhymes. Give up the rapping and be a promoter. That how alot of artist have gotten on. They get in the business first and once they're in they take advantage of that.

Brotha. I hear ya loud and clear. You know I'm the biggest fan of your music. Young Sau More Money is my Jam play it daily. Big Junes Flamed Up Knockin. And as far as Rock Bands I threw a show with a Rock Band, that I found because they wanted a DJ that could play some SD shit like Shottie and Mitchy. I showed up played all that and some Young Sau. By the way Ive played Yesterday at a few family parties, sweet sixteens.. nice track no cussin. And the shows I threw I just had the artists sell tickets and we split the money. But as far as the radio, me personally my time for bein on the radio shit has passed. I'd have to practice mixin Lil Waynes Lollilop and LAdy Gaga or some shit. DJ Junk is just a working title. Really I should be called Webmaster Junk or Promo Junk or Cameraman Junk.

Payin to play Is what It Is. But everyone cant perform. Look at the Wu Tang show. No Opening acts. Would an Artist blow up after opening up? the Dago Braves have opened for every major act comin thru House of Blues & other Live Nation venues. There not payin to play. But there not gettin paid either. Hella smart move though I cant knock it in the least. Great example of Its Not what you know, But Who you know. I might pay to DJ like say the SUPER BOWL halftime show. Play all Dave Moss tracks...Would you go half with me on say $50,000.

And shit anybody catch the American Gangsta on Bet about Mac Dre and the Romper Room Gang?? Man they must be sellin a whole lotta cds and Itunes tracks right now. That was some great promo.

ITS HARD SOMETIMES, BUT IF THIS IS WHUT WE BUILT FOR?.. DO THAT, AND DO IT TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY. THAT GOES TO EVERYONE IN THIS MOTHAFUCKA.

well wheres the money coming from?? is it comin from tha venue?? or is it comin from the money you charged for artists to perform??
ITS LIKE PITCHIN INTO THROWING A PARTY. EVERY ONE CHIPS IN. I DONT KNOW HOW OTHER CATS DO, BUT ALL THE SLOTS I SELL FOR EACH SHOW DONT EVEN COVER HALF THE COST OF THE TOTAL EVENT. BUT EVERYONE MUST BRING SOMETHING TO THE TABLE.

I JUST CANT SEE GIVIN UP ON RAP, EVEN FOR A LIL BIT. I JUST LOVE IT TO MUCH TO EVER LET IT GO HOMIE.

This is another problem....what the venue owners have that kind of control...Why do venues in L.A. book these acts all the time? think about it? The venues need the people..not the other way around and in this economy....

I wuz informed Dago Braves droppin rackz to open. Either they helpin pay for the artist to kome or payin to perform. It aint my biz to discuss numbers but them katz droppin doe. Wayne komin to cox arena and guess who openin... Shit we should all sit down together and map SD success out. If everybody knew they roll, and played it, we kan put this city on. Junk, Moss, Myself, siccness staff, etc. We spend too much time bloggin about it... Let's make it happen!!!

THE GRAFFICS (WHICH I PLAN ON STEPPIN UP AS WELL).

aye CHRYMES. get at me...I can let you in on some Photoshop tips and secrets. Just a bunch of shit I learned over the years. Little shit that can make a BIG ass difference and make your covers stand out. I agree with the the others when they say that your main strength is in your marketing/business/network. I don't know how old you are ,but you look like a young dude. That's going in your favor big time. I'll be 38 soon, and if I had the connections you have now...20 years ago...doing the business moves you do now. I would put down the mic and go hard behind the scenes and make shit happen. Sometimes, people try to do too much and too many things at once and don't give 100%. How can you give 100% 24/7 to multiple tasks? It's good to be self sufficient. Trust me...I know. I can do it all. Beats, Graphics, Web design...and I can even rap. All this shit I know didn't happen over night. It takes time. I'm not saying to give up your goal of being a rapper. Nor to stop trying to "perfect" your craft. Why not take a craft you've already perfected and make it even better. There are 100,000,000 rappers in this world. Very, Very, Very few of those have the inside connects that you do, and of those that have connects, very few of them don't know what to do with it. That puts you in a rare position that not too many people get to be in. RUN WITH IT! I do like your music...but your business brain is what will put you through to a national and overseas level.
