I think it looks bad, because he's not here. If all was good, he would be here getting prepared to play against the Chargers, Lord knows we need this dude.

"Put yourself in his position," Harrison added. "He's going from a first-class organization to one of the worst in the NFL."
This is what makes the least sense to me. How are the Patriots a first-class organization? They've been caught cheating, they intentionally ran up the score as high as possible against teams they had clearly beaten and now they blindsided one of their best players and attempted to trade him to the Raiders..

Fuck the Patriots and their classy organization..

Yeah, but at least they didnt need the refs for 2 super bowl wins lol they only needed the refs to smash the Raider franchise to smithereens

The Raiders have reportedly sent a "five-day" letter to Richard Seymour, informing him that he's a candidate for the roster/suspended list.
The five-day letter means Oakland will not attempt to void the trade, so Seymour will either join the Raiders or sit out the season. The Raiders aren't obligated to place Seymour on the roster/suspended list, but the letter warns of the possibility. The ball is now in Seymour's court.

Damn we're stupid. Why try to force this dude to play for us? I wouldn't want the dude on this team if he doesn't want to be here. Tell New Englands to give us our pick back.

Its because he either needs to show up now or we get our pick back plain and simple. Fuck waiting a few more days, it is pretty fucked up by that classy Patriots organization to trade him a week before the season starts, shows a lot about the character of there management.

fuck, I don't even want Seymour if he doesn't wanna be here

he's gonna be like Randy Moss was over here, and you know Randy Moss probably talked hella bad about Oakland to Seymour which really makes him not wanna come here

but honestly I can't be mad at him, I'd be pissed too if I was traded from a team who was a Super Bowl contender to a team who's been losing the past 6 season, I mean come on... New England did him dirty

but we need to try to get our pick back or trade him to another team for some value

Yeah Al pulled the trigger on this deal, Seymour will not suit up for the Raiders and Rodney should be talking shit about the Patriots for trading Seymour without his consent...

Al pulls the trigger on anything Raider related. He`s the almighty dictator of your club. The only team in the NFL without a GM. He still thinks he "got it". Even most of the Raider fan base can do a better job than he can. Real shit.

But this is the reason why players get no trade clauses put in their contracts. Regardless if he likes it or not, without the clause, he has no rights to tell the Pats where he wants to go. Bottom line, the Pats have the rights to him as a player.

I witnessed the same thing in Sacramento when the Kings traded for C-Webb. He threatened to sit, too. The Kings told him and his agent, "he plays, or he sits, but he`s now ours regardless". This is the business of it. If players don`t like it, they can go get regular paying jobs and STFU!

this what ya'll get for that crabtree thread lol

fuck crabs & seymour tho thats some bitch shit. why dont they just be professionals and be happy that God blessed them with the skills to even be able to make the money they make and feed their families for generations for playing a game that they "love"

I'd play on any of these teams for half the price.

The Raiders are strong arming this dude... just give us our pick back, send Seymour back to New England and let them find another trade partner. This dude is not going to play for us, period! He is not going to suit up in a Raider uniform under any circumstance...

Its the player who should decide where he wants to play, not the team.
That's like saying "It's the employee who decides whether he can work for the company, not the employer." While it's true to an extent because the employee can choose NOT to work for a company, it's also not true because if the employer doesn't want you working for their company, you do not work for their company.

The NFL is a company just like any other. When you get a job, the employer decides what division you will work in, you don't. If you don't want to work for that division of the company, you can quit. But you can't decide to work for another division of the company on your own.

i'm sure we will give him his 3-4 year contract. that is really what this is about in the end. he will come to oakland, he just wants more money. it is good knowing that has NEVER been an issue with the raiders.
If that were the case he wouldn't have a problem going to Oakland. Everyone knows Al Davis dumps money all over the place when a big name comes to town. I don't think it has anything to do with the contract. He just doesn't want to play for Oakland.

I'm not gonna sit here and talk shit even though most of you raider fans have been running your mouths about the Crabtree situation for a while now. It's basically the same shit. If Crabtree doesn't sign, we basically threw our 1st rounder in the garbage can. If Seymour doesn't report, you guys basically did the same with your 2011 first rounder. It's unfortunate on both ends.
