please none of them dudes you mentioned could score as easily as Shaq and both Russell and Wilt didnt play in a competitive league like it is today. lol @ Lebron being considered the greatest SF of all time yet but has proved nothing except that hes a quitter and couldnt lead his team to a championship, Larry Bird says HI
Top 3?... Any how on a side note I would love to see okc thunders beat the lakers and heat. I believe it will happen in the next three years

Damn.... so we have Jordan, Magic, Bird, and Barkley all lightweight ripping LeBron for joining forces with Wade. It's about challenges and competing against each other not teaming up to make things easier.

it's not about teaming up to make things easier?

lol, then why is there free agency and trades? lmfao

why did the Lakers get Gasol... so he could team up with Kobe, and make things EASIER for him

why did the Lakers get Artest? because they felt if he teamed up with Lakers it would make things easier for them

I'm sorry.... this is baffling to me... you guys sound fucking retarded

Yeah but Barkley wasn't in his prime. He didn't bounce on Phoenix after he led them to 60+ wins and an MVP season (like LeBron did Cleveland). Barkley's tank was running on empty around the time he went to Houston.

lol, that's the exact argument fans are writing in and saying to Cowherd

who gives a fuck?

so you should stick with a shitty team and be "loyal" while you're in your prime... then when your old it's okay to team up with other superstars and try to win a ring??

yeah... that's real fuckin smart... look where it got Barkley... no rings! Lebron doesn't wanna end up like that!

listen Colin Cowherd's take on Lebron... he lays it down real good... that guy's probably the smartest person in sports media if you ask me... he knows what's up

My girl was like Drexler (who is my all time favorite player) did it. What's the difference?

Clyde led Portland to two NBA Finals and he was traded to Houston so he could have a shot at winning a ring. Clyde can return to Portland and no Blazer fan will boo him because he didn't bounce on them in his prime or when the going got tough. He was traded to Houston when the Blazers started to rebuild.

OR

you have an opportunity to play in a city filled with beautiful women, beaches, and nightlife... on a team with two of your best friends, and win multiple rings

the second one sounds pretty good to me

I think the main point being as far as Lebrons decision is: Lebron is a coward. He joined up with Bosh and Wade in Miami to avoid being the sole person responsible for an accomplishment or a failure. He'd rather have whatever blame split 3-ways, instead of facing the music.

If Lebron had went to Chicago or NY he would have been expected to shoulder the responsiblity of a chamionship almost immediately. If he was a man he wouldnt have such a problem hoisting a team on his shoulders where he's the sole superstar, and expectation falls on him. People on the subject of Lebron confuse talent with desire, in this example, Jordan wanted to use his talent to be #1, and win a ring...Lebron wants to have a ring.

Had Lebron gone to Chicago he would have been the star to come into a solid core, and spearhead them to a championship, had he gone to NY he would have be the superhero swooping in and carrying them to a championship. Instead he got himself a fat check to share the glory or blame with 2 of the other stars. So at the end of the day in a few years when they dont win a ring he can throw up his arms and go "Yeah we didnt win...but it aint all my fault."

Had he been a man about the whole situation he would have either signed with NY or Chicago and been the man with the will to bring a ring to a team. Or IMO, in the ultimate show of fortitude, he would have resigned with Cleveland and played for free or have the team donate a protion of his projected salary to a charity. In the ultimate exhibition of selflessness he would resign with his hometown team, and relieve them of the burden of his giant salary and give them the financial room to bring in the tools he needs to bring the city a championship. Let alone that would improve his image into being the ultimate team player, and one of the best guys in sports. But Lebron is a child, who wants to do him, get payed, and not worry about taking full responsibility.

As far Jordan, he has a valid point. In sports you need to want to be the best, and proving your the best means defeating the other "best" in the league. And more-so in baseketball then Baseball or Football, you have the oppurtunity to go head up against the players challenging your top seat. And in another sense, leading your team you built against the next best. Lebron teaming up with Wade and Bosh, eliminating them as competitors and building a wall of players to, supposedly, smash on the lesser teams in the league, and essentially build a record to assure a playoff birth, and then call on all that talent sans desire to win a ring. Jordan is a dickhead, everybody's known that for years, but he has a point and as far as basketball and team building, he deff knows what he's talking about.

My 2 cents.

edit: As far as Lebron playing in Miami cause of nightlife and bitches, dude has the money to jet wherever he pleases on a daily basis or fly in however many bitches he chooses. It doesnt matter what the city is like, he's a young rich ballplayer, if he wants everything to be a party he can do so wherever.

Lebron wouldn't be sticking with a "shitty" team with scrub players.

This is a back to back 60+ win team. A piece here or there and a ring is definitely possible.

Miami is available in the summer when you ain't playing ball. You don't have to live in Cleveland in the off-season.

Lebron took the easy way out and that's that.

For one its not the point that they would be able to bring in whatever player they want. Essentially he should be "The Man" and be leading a team that can be built over time, but in the case of your question, a guy like Bosh could have been brought into Cleveland, or David Lee, I mean its hard to say because Lebrons decision changed to whole dynamic of signings this year. The thing of it is, him being the head of that team they wouldnt need blockbuster all star trades, they should only need complimentary players. If it was Lebron being #1 with cleveland leading his team, it would have been a better prospective league having other teams with the same dynamic. Like Jordan on the Bulls, Bird on the Celtics. Main dude, compilentary players, playing as hard as you can trying to win a trophy. Essentially its hard to say who would come to to Cleveland, if Lebron was there he would draw more players in. But it is what it is, I dont live in "what-if" world like most of you other clowns, lol. Im just saying it played out differently because Lebron is a pussy.

Meta4ical, Cleveland got LeBron as much help as they could. LeBron didn't win 60+ games by himself. For two years in a row, he had the best team (record wise).

At some point, LeBron had to step his game up in the playoffs (when it counts most) and he didn't do it.

When the going got tough, LeBron got going.

Bosh did not want to come to Cleveland

he had a chance to do a sign and trade to Cleveland, but refused to do it... so yeah... scratch that out

they shouldn't need other all star players... but they would need better complimentary players than they had... all championship teams have had better complimentary guys than Cleveland had

and don't give em this bullshit about Cleveland was a good team because they won in the regular season... great players, including great role players... step it up in the playoffs... Cleveland's role players did not

and yeah... I know Lebron had a couple shitty games in the playoffs... and that's gonna define his playoff career for most of you guys... but for the most part he carried that team on his back in the playoffs... and they didn't give shit

refer to my post above

with the exception of a couple games... Lebron was the only player stepping it up in the playoffs throughout his career in Cleveland

don't give me that bullshit... his teammates didn't do shit for him

when Kobe has bad games Gasol steps it up... when Lebron has a bad game Mo Williams doesn't do SHIT

And that's when the drama will start. I can see it now. Breaking news! Lebron breaks up with girlfriend and she takes his two sons away because lebron cheated with Puerto rican slut or James hit with dui after clubbing in south beach or James caught smoking weed on the beach with the big three.

Yea Cleveland was boring but was a place he can probably stay outta trouble. Lol
