Honest question...You really think that is whats going to happen though? With 3 (at least) players that are used to, or want to be #1 on a team. You really think we'll see this amazing team dynamic, poetry on the court type of play? Because if history dictates much as far as young, rich, talented ball players go, theyll either be tripping over eachother, or fighting for the ball. What do you think?
honestly, there may be some bumps along the way. but miami will be showcasing one of the highest levels of basketball we have ever seen. we have two and a half bright, young stars at the peak of their abilities with an unselfish mind set to begin with (as far as basketball play is concerned). this is a recipe for some entertaining ass ball.

Yeah, Boston Celtics General Manager, Danny Ainge, what's the point of a championship if you take the easy road? You should have just stuck it out with Al Jefferson and Sebastian Telfair. You wouldn't have won shit but at least you would have been fired!

Folks keep saying that he took the "easy route". You are all forgetting about the other formidable teams including the Lakers that Miami will have to go through to get the title. It won't necessarily be "easy". They have to put this thing together and prove that this union is the great idea that they hope that it'll be. LBJ haters (Laker Fans) and LBJ fanatics need to all chill and just be get ready to see some interesting ball.

Saying that this decision to join the Heat has automatically removed himself from being mentioned along side of the greats is not only a premature statement, but also ridiculous. That would mean that we would have to overlook all of his personal accomplishments and stats of his past and future, which COULD include championships just because he switched teams back in 2010...forget about all of the records that he's broken and may hold by retirement. He'll be in the Hall of Fame, like it or not...

Yall mad like he butt fucked your grandmother's corpse in her casket at her funeral in front of your 6 year old daughter on mother's day after shitting on your forehead, cutting off your grandma's wrinkled areolas, wiping his was with em and offering up the shitty wrinkled titty nipples to the basketball gods in the name of Kurt Rambis or something.

of course he'll be in the hall of fame. he'll be one of the best players all time. but he will never be in that elite echelon. he locked himself out. like it or not. nothing he can do will put him on jordan magic or bird level. ever.

lol get the fuck outta here, you cant possibly believe the cavs gave him everything he wanted and needed to seal the deal. I mean its pretty obvious since he fuckin left, don't you think?...i aint even a Lebron fan I don't give a fuck about this shit. Honestly I think the Heat are gonna be pretty fun to watch. Yall mad like he butt fucked your grandmother's corpse in her casket at her funeral in front of your 6 year old daughter on mother's day after shitting on your forehead, cutting off your grandma's wrinkled areolas, wiping his was with em and offering up the shitty wrinkled titty nipples to the basketball gods in the name of Kurt Rambis or something.
once again, you keep saying cleveland didnt give lebra enough help, who did he want help from? its pretty apparent that lebra KNEW HE HAD A GOOD ENOUGH TEAM TO WIN til he saw the green machine. hes a bitch. just admit it. if you can name one player he asked cleveland to go after and they failed to, i will stop fucking your fat whore mother in her sloppy ass hole.

GMs like say for instance, Danny Ferry? lol...you can't celebrate the recent Celtics success and then also be mad at Miami for doing the same shit Boston did, only better.

He "KNEW" he had a good enough team to win it? Then why the fuck would he switch teams? And who did Cleveland give him to work with? Damon Jones? Mo Williams?? Larry fuckin Hughes? 92 year old Shaq? 65 year old Antawn Jamison? Sideshow Bob? Come on, you're just blindly hating Lebron for whatever reason. Jordan had Pippen, Horace Grant, Rodman, etc. Magic had Kareem and Worthy, Kobe has never won a ring without playing next to the guy considered to be the best big man in basketball, Bird had McHale and Parish. Lebron hasnt had shit. And its not LeBron's job to tell the GM to surround him with championship level talent. That's what the GM is supposed to do any fuckin way!

His teams the last two years were far better than the teams of Damon Jones and Larry Hughes.

The Cavs were at the bottom of the league when Lebron got there...you don't build a championship team over night. You need time to build up a team and that's what they were trying to do.

Not only that...what big time free agent is gonna come when he only signed a 3 year deal? If Lebron ain't there...no worthy free agents are gonna come in...he has to know that.

Lebron has gone on record of fighting for Sideshow Bob...and Shaq too. The fault lies with Lebron just as much as anyone else.

If he was SO unhappy with his team...why was he dancing on the sidelines all year...posing...taking pics...etc.

find where i said im mad at miami, bosh or wade. im not even mad at lebra, i just thought he had a chance to be the best or 2nd best player of all time. now he'll never be close. id do the same thing if i was wade and bosh, but if i were lebron and carried myself as the heir to the throne the last thing i would do is throw in the towel, especially at 25. 31 with bad knees? yes i can understand. 25? faggot ass coward.

he switched teams because he knew he didnt have what it took to be "the man" a la bird magic or jordan. what part of that do you keep missing? i keep hearing about how weak his team was but i never heard anything but confidence in "king lames'" voice all season. til boston came and slapped him. he just doesnt want to be the person he's portrayed himself to be. thats all. im not mad at him, i just dont want to hear anyone saying he still has a chance to top the greatest players of all time. he's done for in that regard. hall of fame? yes. ring or rings? of course its bound to happen? considered with the all time greatest players? NEVER.

For LeBron James, there can be no more excuses and no more demands.

Despite the Cleveland Cavaliers recent winning streak and league-best record, it was no secret that James was in favor of the team pursuing another seasoned veteran before Thursday’s NBA trading deadline.

He got his wish when GM Danny Ferry obtained two-time All Star forward Antawn Jamison from the Washington Wizards for center Zydrunas Ilgauskas and a draft pick.
they didnt do enough for lebra?

With Jamison now in the mix, the Cavaliers are the front-runners to win the Eastern Conference and dethrone the Los Angeles Lakers as NBA champions. It’s clear that Ferry, and owner Dan Gilbert, see that outcome as their best, and perhaps only, hope to keep James in Cleveland. they didnt do enough for lebra?

Now that they’ve done their part, it’s time for James to do his.
A test of leadership
He’s won the Rookie of the Year award, two All-Star Game MVP trophies and the league MVP award. He led his team to an NBA Finals appearance in 2007, and the league’s best record in 2009.

There’s little LeBron James hasn’t done in his career, except for one thing: win an NBA championship.

Until this year, a case could be made for James needing more support in his quest for a title. Such is not the case any more. The pieces are in place and the stage is set for James to assert his leadership and cement his legacy.
this was the common opinion til the boston series, now the cavs are the nets? i dont think so.

Where better then, to put The King and his new-look Court to the test than in Orlando -- where Cleveland’s dream season of a year ago came crashing to a halt in the Eastern Conference finals?
The star attraction
Jamison may be the hot story on Sunday, but ultimately James is the attraction.

Simply put, he transcends the sport. Even Dwight Howard’s star shines a little less brightly when James is in the building. It’s that way wherever No. 23 laces up his sneakers.

From the moment he performs his signature chalk toss, expect James to command attention and exert his control over the proceedings. With Mo Williams and Delonte West still easing their way back in to the lineup, James will lead the offense and try to get Cleveland off to a fast start.
Setting up Shaq and Jamison
O’Neal has been playing mind games with Howard lately, particularly over which of the two is more deserving of the “Superman” nickname. Look for James to take advantage of that by setting Shaq up for early scoring opportunities.

It’s a regular tactic of LeBron’s. He can start slowly and still have 30 points by day’s end. He knows, however, the importance of involving his teammates early and getting them into the flow of a game.

The Cavs won the first two meetings of the year with the Magic, and Shaq was a major reason why. He remains intimidating on defense and a threat to score in the low post. With Ilgauskas gone, Shaq’s minutes will increase, and James will make the most of them.

Likewise, when Jamison is on the floor, James will get him the ball. He knows the importance of helping a new teammate blend in, and will be as interested in his new teammate’s success as he is in his own.
End-game heroics
Players like James and Kobe Bryant live for the challenge of having the ball when the game is on the line.

If Sunday’s game is closely contested in the fourth quarter, watch how James asserts himself. If his shot is falling, he’ll stretch the defense with an assortment of jumpers. If not, he’ll challenge Orlando’s defense and drive to the basket.

Magic Johnson used to call the fourth quarter “winnin’ time.” James has inherited the mantle of Johnson and other greats who have gone before him, and has accepted the challenge of leading -- call it willing -- the Cavaliers to victory. he no longer wanted to shoulder that responsibility. its ok, just stop with the king james and chosen 1 garbage
A PREVIEW OF THINGS TO COME
The remainder of the regular season, and the postseason as well, will be a true test of LeBron James’ leadership. He’s been given a solid, deep lineup to complement his considerable skills.
really?
There can be no more excuses and no more demands. What he asked for, Ferry delivered. funny thats what i thought too but all of a sudden dan gilbert has been ignoring lebra the whole time
Now it’s time for the reigning MVP to take things to the next level, and lead the Cavaliers to the promised land: an NBA championship.

Magic played with Kareem and Worthy... if he can be considered one of the greatest ever, so can Lebron
lots of teams had 3 great players back then, youre probably a skinny jean 90s baby and dont remember the great teams in the league with multiple stars. thats because todays nba is watered down talent wise. kareem magic and worthy had to beat bird mchale parish, isaiah rodman dumars salley laimbeer, oakley starks ewing, wilkins willis malone, etc... talent levels were far higher in those days. reggie miller wasnt a one man show, neither was clyde drexler, or charles barkley. lets get real those teams were just better back then. they had to have great rosters to be equal, not trying to leapfrog the league.
