If Ortiz gets knocked out, this fight is fixed. Floyd hasn't knocked anyone out in years other than Hatton who was considerably smaller and had virtually no defense the entire fight. Before that it was Sharmba Mitchell in 2005.
Ortiz lunges a lot just like Hatton. Naazim nearly threw in the towel a couple times for Mosley. Ortiz has been dropped like 6-7 times in his career . Its not as far fetched as u believe

Hatton was unbeaten at the weight Ortiz took the beating of his life. No fixing if Mayweather knocks him out, just would show over matched Ortiz would be.

Hatton was unbeaten when he fought floyd, not just at the weight. But Hatton was quite a bit smaller in stature. Floyd doesn't punch with everything he has when he doesn't have a size advantage on most of his punches. He did against Hatton. He did more often against Marquez. Floyd has brittle fists. I'd be shocked to see him punch with everything he has against Ortiz who will likely be at least a full weight class higher than floyd on fight night.

Naazim only considered throwing in the towel because he'd lost like 10 rounds in a row. Shane always caves in and gets frustrated against boxers which is why I picked Floyd in that fight to begin with. They didn't almost stop the fight because he was taking the worst physical beating he's ever had. I think Ortiz will be backing Floyd up, not necessarily with punches but just in general and I don't think Floyd will be punching with the type of abandon he did against Hatton on Ortiz.

It's just hard for me to believe he will get knocked out unless he's down 11 rounds going into the 12th (which could happen I guess) and hasn't landed a punch all night. That basically happened to the smaller Marquez and they didn't stop it. Also hard to believe he'll be knocked out after taking the best that Berto had to offer and that train wreck of a knock down he took in that fight lol

Mosley was getting tagged repeatedly in the face and he was taking damage, that's why naz was close to throwing in the towel. Mosley was hurt a couple times in the later rounds. And mosley's chin is 100X stronger than Ortiz, no doubt. Just watch the highlights, he was eating shot after shot after shot.

Marquez didn't get KO'd by floyd because floyd didn't even try to go for the KO and also marquez is too smart for that, he's certainly one of the smartest fighters in the game today and is very technically sound. Ortiz doesn't have the right tools to protect himself. He's going to take a beating. Maybe not as bad as Gatti but kinda similar in the sense he's going to eat everything floyd throws at him.
