oh and here is where pac said his cut if totally fine, which kills arum's BS excuse:

Pacquiao said “there is a possibility of fighting Mayweather in May and I’ll discuss what is best for us to do.” At the same time he said the cut he suffered on his right eyebrow in the last fight with Juan Manuel Marquez which required some 23 stitches is “fine and there’s no problem” although his plastic surgeon in the US had told Koncz he wants to take a look at it or at least see a photo of how it looks now.

They've (Team Floyd) been contacted Top Rank I believe or they contacted that judge that was negotiating the 1st time they tried to set the fight up. The judge said Top Rank isn't interesting in negotiating to fight against Floyd at this time.

It's obvious Pacquiao doesn't want to fight Floyd. Bob Arum knows Pacquiao doesn't want to fight Floyd, that's why he gave him a list of 4 opponents to choose from, and that list excluded Floyd.

You can blame Bob Arum all you want but at the end of the day, Pacquiao is the fighter and should choose who he wants to fight. Bob's job is to set it up and handle the negotiations, contracts, promotions, etc... Pacquiao is always using his promoter to duck Floyd.

Pacquiao is making himself look like a Punk.

of course at the end of the day we'll have to blame pacquiao! I'm not saying otherwise. Dude is easily manipulated which is his own dumb fault for believing his personal adviser Michael Koncz who was hired by bob arum in the first place! lol

You're absolutely right pacquiao needs to be a man and demand the fights HE wants, not the bobfather.

I'm not against Floyd on this one, I agree with him so far.

We still have to see what goes down after this top rank/pacquiao meeting though. Pac has said 2, 3 times now he wants floyd in May, so now he's got to act on it. But realistically I think if Bob Arum and pac's trusted advisor michael Koncz are saying "it can't happen, floyd is bullshitting you" or make up some other bullshit lies, I can almost guarantee pac will believe them cuz he's that naive.

I don't believe for one second pac is scared of floyd, or that floyd is scared of pac. Never did. I think both are warriors and both have proven over the course of their career to never back down to anyone or blatantly duck a fight. There have been cases where both guys went with money fights over what some felt was the "right" but that's besides the point as all fighters do that (and we would too). As far as Pac goes, I always felt his team was his biggest problem and how he truts all those leaches would be his downfall. Floyd, shit, his problems are just being floyd (outside the ring).

The biggest payday of his LIFE and he can't pull the trigger. This is worse than meeting the woman of your dreams, her stripping naked, bending over and touching her toes but you not being able to get hard.

Fuck Manny but fuck Floyd also. Floyd was on that "I can't disrespect the courts shit." but I still place the bulk of this on Manny. He is his own M-A-N. The guy is calling you out, the FANS want to see it yet you keep up with this talk to my promoter BULLSHIT and when people talk to your promoter that motherfucka says to talk to YOU.

Fuck this shit I'm done now. I'm not partaking in any more Manny VS Floyd threads. I'm done with both. Where is my man Mikael Zewski and why isn't he on any cards?

I find it that the same Manny fans that had no problem calling Mayweather a coward or ducker, is now trying to act like Manny hasn't been BLATANTLY ducking Mayweather for 2 years now. I believe Manny is scared of Mayweather, and after Marquez got in that ass he's even more scared. Manny walked away from the 1st fight and his bitch ass is walking away again. Sorry to tell you 206 but yes Manny is shook of the idea of getting in the ring with Mayweather.

It's not a debate one side has been right the whole time (Tony and me) and the Manny fans have been wrong and making excuses for Manny to duck the Mayweather fight for two years. Manny fans needs to shut the fuck up, stop making excuse for that punk Manny, and eat crow knowing that they have been dead wrong for nuthugging that coward Manny for 2 years. Now the debate is over Manny is ducking Mayweather end of story the end. 206 is mad because I was right about Manny ducking the Mayweather fight the whole time. lol.. Eat crow and stop making excuses for the coward Manny..

Manny doesn't want to fight against Floyd and never has. It's clear as day.... I don't see how Pacquiao can say or think he's better than Floyd or has accomplished more than Floyd when he won't even fight him. In order to be the best you have to beat the best. Floyd is the best boxer of this generation and if Manny wants to prove who is better, then he needs to man up and fight him.

pac's accomplishments compared to floyd's are equally impressive, although pac's are slightly more impressive because of the number of weight classes he won titles in. Floyd gets extra bonuses for being undefeated of course, so it's close resume wise. If pac never fights floyd, his legacy does become a bit tainted though, although both no matter what are already all time greats and future hall of famers and that's a sealed deal, nothing can change that. Personally I think bernard hopkins is above both of them when it comes to resume, legacy and challenges taken, but that's obviously besides the point. If this fight never happens, it's a damn shame and one will really have to question pacquiao's heart and/or his intelligence (depending on which you believe - is he really that naive/dumb to be manipulated by bob arum, or does he just not care for the fight).

I sort of disagree, even though I propped you on that post.

He won a 154 pound title, fighting at 150 instead of the full limit of 154 right, didn't that happen against Margarito? Sup with the catchweights????

I would say Floyd's is more impressive because he beat "prime" fighters at their natural weights and didn't weight drain them or fight them when they were on the decline (Shane for example).

Plus he took on fighters that were undefeated (Corrales, Hatton). And didn't take on fighters coming off of losess or bad performances....

mannys resume compared to floyds is laughable I don't see how u can compare fighting drained out old & slow opponents to fighting guys who at the moment are at the top of their game ortiz, mosley, corrales, gatti, de la hoya, mosley, hatton etc...

and I believe the naive part. Reason: It looks like bob arum has convinced pacquiao that he should fight floyd at the END of May, not May 5th. That's pacquiao's latest statement - he said he wants to fight at the end of may. Why? Because bob arum promised pacquiao about an extra $20 million dollars.

Bob's (faulty) logic is that they can erect a 40,000-50,000 temporary stadium in Vegas (which has been done in the past for mega fights). Bob convinced pac that it would generate about $30-40 million extra dollars than fighting at the 19,500 venue of the MGM grand. The reason I say this is faulty is because that's really fuzzy math. The only way it would generated $30+ million dollars is if we assume the entire 50,000 tickets would be high end prices, when in reality when you have more than 20k tickets sold, the cost of tickets goes DOWN the further back (worse seats), it doesn't remain the same. So maybe they can squeeze out another $10 million, maybe $15 million, but not $30-$40 million.

Would you want to wait another 3 weeks for $20 million? Yep. But pac doesn't realize that wont be the case, so might as well just fight on May 5th at the MGM grand. Will be a shame if something as stupid as that prevents the fight from happening.
